I have just install the fresh new update and i still have the problem with the Big Grid 2. It work’s with the the theme, but when i use the child theme i have the same problem.
I hope the update will fix this point. 🙁

I’ve just had another notification that the theme has been updated on ThemeForest. Should I reinstall again or is it an incremental change?

Can updates be done from the theme panel?

Hello latest visual composer active, after updating to Newspaper 6 blocks not showing in background, and even with default page templates not able to edit. For reference screenshot links given below..

tried with database update and without update, same Problem. Also tried with deactivating all plugins expect visual composer.

I have updated the plugin to version 4.1, but still having the same problem.

I could really use some help with the upgrade, my last attempt went fatally wrong and I had to restore the backup files and database. I am running version 4.x (April upgrade). I followed the instructions on your how-to upgrade page.

I turned off all plugins, renamed old theme folder, uploaded new theme 6 folder, ran update script but the settings didn’t get transferred. It was a real mess. I would try and edit the homepage using the Visual Composer.. adding a simple text box but that wouldn’t even show up. I then tried to install the demo with content figuring if that worked I could at least use that as a base but that didn’t work either.

Im afraid to try upgrading it again.

I read in a different topic today that the update 6.1 is already waiting for acceptance at themeforest…so there is nothing tagdiv can do about it right now.

so far nothing update, that sucks for those who need the resource

Thank you @Radu for the update. I look forward to the updates to NewsMag..and I may actually also get NewsPaper 6 in the future. I’m just awaiting really cool gallery options in NewsMag (something like what The Voux theme does, where they have a gallery that opens up in a lightbox slider and you can have ads and also your text/description on the right side) – that would definitely set these themes way above all the other magazine style themes out there (it’s one feature lots of bloggers like myself who does lifestyle magazine based blogs keep asking for).

Already made the first update to that plugin, versioning now as 1.1

With the update the plugin other than the “widget”, it provides a shortcode [CustomNewspaper6Login]

Using that shortcode anywhere in a post or a page, it does the same job as the widget, therefore you are not limited to use the login/logout functionality only from a widget, but anywhere in your theme.

The first post on that topic contains the updated plugin.

AND also the sticky menu is disappearing below it.
I was some z-indexes in the source code used by the revslide, something around 18, 20, but also i found that you have acutally put the menu on z-index:9999

So it should work, but it doesnt, not in FF, not in Chrome, and I have no idea of why and hope you find out soon and can give also a temporary fix until the next update comes 🙂
