I purchased the theme newspaper after having read through comments on the themeforest site stating that the theme had been tested with wordpress 4.0 and would work fine. I installed the theme on my site and when i updated to wordpress 4.0 the theme begin to have issues. Currently i am not being able to see the page builder. I’d like to get some support in fixing this issue so i can get back to building the pages correctly for my site.
Hi on my home page and my post pages. I use 3-4 units of block 7. From theme options I choose all of them to have arial family and a specific color. Is it possible one these block units (see the pic) to change the font family and the color???
I know it is easy for you but for it will take a lot of time to solve it.

You can also simply use the control panel in Yoast, which allows you to insert the page number, site name, category name, short description with page number, etc., dynamically …
this is done as follows by example (for those who can’t read the docs) — and you don’t need to edit your functions.php file each update
under > SEO > Titles & Metas > Taxonimies

Glad it worked, unfortunately you will need custom work to customize the modal view of images and at this time we cannot provide any custom as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ if you don’t know how to do it yourself.
Regarding the modal view by default I can only let you know that we have this on our todo list and we are still search for a optimal way to implement this and hopefully we will have this available for future updates.
That error message appears when using modal view for an image which is set to link to the attachment page, you need to edit the image and set it to link to the media file.

Also make sure you update the theme to the latest version(4.5) after that replace the td_module_blog.php file content, deactivate all plugins and check for this issue again.

Yes. I have released an update with the fix 🙂
1) clear your cache; if using local cache or a CDN
2) make sure you cleared cache prior to uploading new theme; make sure you updated theme by removing old folder and uploading new theme folder vs “over writing”
3) make sure you fully clear your browser cache to make sure you’re seeing the new style sheets if you did (1) and (2) properly
4) sometimes the widgets reset, and you’d need to redo the widget/sidebar for homepage
5) any changes you made to templates, style.css, functions.php. need to be redone as they are lost on upgrade

Next make sure you deactivate all plugins and empty cache and check for this again.
Also consider, if using any CDN plugin to purge files as the old file version can be delivered and generate this issues.

I plugins might generate a js conflict. Please make sure you deactivate all plugins leaving just the Visual Composer plugins active and check again, if this issue doesn’t appear anymore enable the plugins one by one to see which one is generating this issue.
Also make sure you update the theme to the latest version.
