Hello!
There are 3 options to use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you want a responsive version for your mobile version, then you should uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin which has its own templates and your responsive version will appear automatically.
Thank you!
Hi,
I updated our website to a newer version of the TagDiv composer sometime ago, but after the header was broken, I reverted to an older version. But after the composer stopped working recently, I unfortunately had to update and the problem I had occurred again. I addressed this issue before and it was not solved. So here is my question again:
I have set up all the header settings in the theme panel (h1-h6) with custom font sizes, however these settings are not being used after the update. For example: whenever I place a title block or a widget block on a page, it should use the default font size settings I have set up in the theme panel. An H3 and H4 block title should be 28px large. That’s not the case however. If I check the header in the browser inspector, I can see that it is overwritten by CSS as 17px. I have never added this to the theme panel or as a custom code, so I have no how this could happen. Also, I can not make manual changes to widget titles, for example. So changing all the header sizes manually is not an option!
Hello!
It seems you have installed Mobile theme plugin. If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates (that default style) for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.
If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it to your homepage in order to be displayed. For more information about this mobile version please take a look in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Thank you!
Hello,
For this, you can use a mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/, which can be edited with tagDiv Composer, and you can set the ad for mobile.
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8 -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY (03:11 – Mobile Templates & Pages)
Hope this helps you!

Hello!
The CLS has been noted as important factor since February this year. Unfortunately for the issue that you are facing at the moment there is no workaround. Our developers are working on this that in the future updates this will be improved.
Thank you!
Hi kmos, our theme has more header.php files and usually the one from the theme is not the one that it is used, that it is way the code is not find, therefore you need to set the code in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/Ovd0FDj.png and this will be set in the correct place, also this will not be lost when you’ll update the theme.
Thank you!
Further update. Despite the “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin, appearing to recongise the two sizes, it’s creating thumbnails called:
ppec_logo_image_size
ppec_header_image_size
rather than
td_265x198
td_741x486
Are the top ppec ones TagDiv thumbnails?
Hi
When I go to the mobile homepage of my website, it shows what appears to be a default AMP homepage with my most recent posts, rather than the home – mobile page I’ve set up. How do I update my AMP homepage?
Thanks,
Paul
I went to WP / Newspaper / Theme Panel / Theme Fonts
I updated the size of ‘BODY – GENERAL FONT’ to 16pt, which also adjusted the size of the ‘Text with image’ description text to 16pt.
So, it looks like the Theme wouldn’t allow me to apply overrides on the ‘Text with image’ using the tag Div composer.
Makes sense that I couldn’t override the Theme settings, and I’m kinda okay with that.
Cheers!
Hello,
there is a misunderstanding. I uninstalled the two plug-in lot of weeks ago. I created every page for mobile and few days ago I found the error just for the tablet. Since yesterday I had the problem for every tablet and now, after the update of the theme, i’ve the problem just for the iPad. I’m thinking that it could be caused by the absence of those two plug-ins.
Or maybe of one of them, it could be that activating the AMP plug-in those errors disappear?
In the case in which I activate the plug-in, I’ll can attribute again the old page created by me?
Best regards,
Hi,
If you use the child theme, this can be use after you update the theme, most of the time without making changes to it, therefore you do not need to worry about the updates.
Indeed we do not recommend to use it, only in case that you make changes in theme files and to not lose theme after theme update.
Thank you!
Hello,
With tagDiv Composer, you can add the element Single Post Modified Date in Single Post Template and
you can change the additional text in “Last updated on” => https://www.screencast.com/t/EvfUQMfzkd , and the Single Post Modified Date will show you the last time you edited that post => https://www.screencast.com/t/j74uz43paZj
You can change the position of the elements as you want them to look.
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Hello, can you please help me to set up last updated date to my posts? Thank you so much
Hello!
This issue has been discussed already here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/facebook-likes-and-instagram-followers-not-getting-updated-automatically/
Thank you for understanding!
Thanks, still looking into this, Calin.
By the way, for anything regarding the child theme, it’s unclear to me, this online help.
Let me just ask to cut to the chase:
If I use a child-theme plugin, then:
If the main theme offers a theme update,
will there be a way for me to somehow use my existing child-theme files by applying them to the main theme update, if and when the update occurs?
I ask because:
It was only after setting up my site that I read a child-theme wasn’t necessary or something like that, regarding this theme.
That with a child theme, I may risk something.
But, I’m already in this situation. 🙂
Thanks!
Hello,
When child theme is active custom post types are not working properly (settings for single posts are lost – they are displayed without sidebar and without proper stylling).
So when I need to add cutom code into fuctions.php, I can’t do this because changes made to the main theme will be overwritten when theme update will be done.
Are you going to do fix this issue?
Hi
I’m trying to figure out how to implement AMP AdSense code (not Auto Ads), and can’t find how to update the AMP header to implement the required code per step 9 of Google’s AdSense help instructions.
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9274230?hl=en&ref_topic=9187141
Could you please help,
Thanks,
Paul
Hi
I’ve updated my website (https://thecitylane.com) to work with AMP on mobile, but I can’t see any options to change what appears in the footer beyond what’s in the Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> Footer section. I want to get rid of the the text “About Us” and “Follow Us” in the AMP footer.
Hello,
I updated the theme and now I can see those options in theme panel but when I try to hide the featured image nothing changes in the responsive mode.
Here the screenshot from the tablet with the post doubled:
https://prnt.sc/14s0jlt
https://prnt.sc/14s03lb
Here the post from desktop: https://incognita.online/2021/06/02/la-via-dellacqua-che-scorre/
This error appear for every post. But if I active those plug-in that overwrite every mobile template the problem could disappear? In this case, after the plug-ins activation could I set again the page that I created for every page also if the plug-ins are active?
The last update of TAGDIV composer conflicts with my Paid Membership Pro plug in. The Gateway for new years signed up with a credit card isn’t working and is stuck under “processing” Here is the link. https://theoddsbreakers.com/membership-account/membership-checkout/?level=6
How can I fix this?
Thanks
Kiev
Any update this?
I’ve tried a variety of things but aren’t having any luck.
Thanks in advance.
Hello!
When you access your homepage you should see it near the button “Edit with Tagdiv Composer” if you use a cloud template.
Take a look at the video guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnkVapqhIHc
Documentation here: https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-the-newspaper-theme-10-4-update/
Thank you!
Hello!
If you created the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Only if you will deactivate the plugin, then you will see your responsive version on your mobile version. If you want to use a mobile page, then you need to assign it. For more information about this mobile version please take a look in this article: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If your settings are missing from theme panel, then make sure you have Standard Pack installed and active.
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately, yes, because the files to update will be overwritten.
Thank you for understanding!
Hi,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activate and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activate.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
I hope this information helps you!
Thank you!
