I have updated my theme from 4.0 to the latest version 4.9.6 but it seems to have broken the images on the site.
WP ver is: 5.6.2
When the site loads the images seem to load, but after a few moments the images disappear and are replaced with alt text, all of which seem to be incorrect such as “yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7”, however looking in my media gallery within wordpress, alt text is unchanged and isn’t as being displayed – For example, a Playstation 5, is descibed as a Playstation 5 in it’s alt text in the media gallery, but being shown as yH5BAEAAAA…. on the website.
The main problem is that the images aren’t showing, but the alt text showing and changing might give you some help?
Turning on Debugging mode gives me the following when I load the home page:

Hello guys,
I’ve taken over runing a blog recently and wanted to update to the latest version of the theme from 4.0 so quite an old version. I couldn’t find an original licence key so purchased the theme again, then uploaded the new theme to the blog which detected the old theme and asked me if i wanted to update. I chose Yes.
As soon as I updated, I’m getting the error message saying that “There has been a critical error on this website.”
It appears that the theme update has totally broken the site. 🙁
I’m working on a snapshot copy of my blog naturally so it’s not the end of the world yet, however, I’d appreciate it if you can help.

The tagDiv Composer doesn’t work, it may be because you may have the latest version of WordPress and an older version of the Newspaper theme (the latest version is 10.3.9.1).
The compatibility with WP v5.6 was provided only with Newspaper v10.3.9

we deactivate already and deleted, the problem now is the desktop is updated when you chec the mobile view in inspecting tools its work fine but when you check mobile device the homepage is not updated.. please check http://www.lastpen.com

As I said the difference in the images for the Theme Panel is made by the theme version.
Please make an update to version 10.3.9.1 and see how it looks.
Before the theme update, please make a full backup to your website and database, then disable all non-theme plugins, child theme if you use and make the theme update as in our guide from here https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ from point B.

I am looking for an email from you, but I can’t seem to find one. I checked the inbox and the spam section. All I found searching for the website address, was an older email from a couple of years ago. Something must have happened with it unfortunately.
Regarding the issue you mention, that is already being discussed. Modifications will be made in the theme, in the next or a future update, regarding the login code that is loaded despite being deactivated/not used.
However, Google should not pick the login code as the description for anything. I see you are using the Yoast plugin and that is loading correct descriptions.

“The current content hasn’t been created by tagDiv Composer” – that notice isn’t the result of actual issues in most cases, that just notice that the last time that page/cloud template was not saved using tagDiv Composer. If you can successfully edit the page or could template then there is no problem, despite the message.
Also, if the tagDiv Composer doesn’t work, it may be because you may have the latest version of WordPress and an older version of the Newspaper theme (the latest version is 10.3.9.1).

Hi, I have been trying to update the header theme color for my site by using the Panel: Theme Colors-> Header -> Header Background Color.
After saving seetings, only the desktop banner changes color but the mobile banner remains as gray. Have scanned through all documentations and options to update mobile banner to no avail.

Usually, those kind of problems appear when you overwrite the old theme with the new one, to solved the problem, please delete the theme and theme plugins, also if you use child theme disable it, then install the theme via FTP -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ (if possible disable all plugins during the theme update), the from Newsmag > welcome install the theme plugins.

Theme is currently showing a limit of 40mb by default I have made adjustments via php.ini and wp-settings as well and no effect see screenshot https://prnt.sc/109owst ini config in cpanel: https://prnt.sc/109ourg theme for some reason is not registering these changes as I also have a caching plugin installed and that doesn’t update either. Thank you for that update. That page you’ve linked is more informative than the other Buddypress pages on style support I’d seen. I am quite curious as to your findings.
I’ve tried the following with respect to the td-composer plugin and the child-theme.
child-theme root = /
/menu-mobile.php
/parts/menu-mobile.php
/legacy/Newspaper/parts/menu-mobile.php
/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/parts/menu-mobile.php
Unfortunately, none of these has worked for me. So it’s likely an unsupported file.
Btw I think it’s great that tagDiv offers this form of child-theme support, very forward-thinking considering how complex your theme is and its use of additional plugins.

Hi Bettina, in the link you sent me there are other links, I have read all the discussions. I didn’t understand if you still need to remove the code manually or if this code has been removed after the updates (the thread is from July 2020).

Anyway, my problem is: why if I set the sticky to a column it increases the CLS, instead I can see the same function on some sites without the CLS being increased?
Perhaps you should consider developing a different way of handling the “sticky” function (I think at the moment this is done with jQuery).
Hello thanks for your reply . The changes have now been updated without removing any plugins. I installed a few like the GDPR consent plugin and google analytics along with a few others . Do you suggest i still delete these plugins and download the one you suggested to avoid any future occurrences ?

We are using tagDiv with user name sanjeev. Our Website is https://rashtrajyoti.in.
Few days ago, I raised an issue over mail & forum that tpcomposer isn’t functioning properly and gives an issue while editing the Posts, it shows outdated and gives an option to update (instlly/activate), but once we try to update it, it shows ‘failed’ in front of the feature we try to update. Hence, you have asked us to delete the plugin and manually install through evanto. Today, we did the same and tried updating tdcomposer, td social counter & td cloud library manually. Hi shirazkahn, you have this problem because you updated the WordPress to the latest version, 5.6.2, but you still using an old theme version, 4.2.
As you update the rest of plugins and WordPress, you must update the theme too.
