I really believe that this document.write() is the main problem for the higher scores shwon in the Field Data and in the Origin Sumary fields in Page Speed Insigths.
My socres are good in the Lab Data, but not that good in those others and i do use Wp Rocket, Cloudflare Pro and the Automatic Platfrom Optimization from Cloudflare (APO): https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049822312-Understanding-Automatic-Platform-Optimization-APO-with-WordPress
GTmetrix show that “for users on slow connections, external scripts dynamically injected via document.write() can delay page load by tens of seconds”.
So, i think that the theme need an urgent update, specially before may 2021, otherwise we gonna have to change the theme, and i do not want to do that because i like the Newspapper a very LOT.
I updated the theme and it resolved the problem. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. Let’s say that child theme 7 is inactive. If I go from Newspaper 9 to Newspaper Version: 10.3.9.1 which I have, I will face the same problem? Do I need to replace php and css files?
At this moment I updated the theme, by following your steps for ftp, in the server and i have the new Newspaper directory without any modification.

Upgrading from 7 to 10 can be considered impossible. It is a big step and due to the big number of improvements this upgrade will require re-design of some parts.

without the plgin composer website is flying in backend and frontend, unfortunately frontend is broken after we disable it

We are not using one of the new Pro demos yet, using the Pro demo requires a complete re-build of our site which takes a lot of time and effort. So we are still using the older default template for our site. We are working on getting rid of the Standard Pack plugin but all of our pages have not been updated yet so we have some more work to do on that front.

When I am writing a post, it is taking more time to update the post. In some cases I am not getting the publish option, as it is updating.

I updated all the required plugins then the error occurred.
I then uninstalled everything and even changed the theme and still the tagdiv error persists.
I will reinstall the plugins and change theme back to Newspaper and see if that resolves the issue

Hello again! First of all i wanted to say im really enjoying this theme. I dont know if this is right place to open a topic for suggestions but i have some.
Customizing this theme is something else. For the next update or coming updates i have some suggestions.
1. Hide sections/content on mobile when customizing with tagdiv composer.
2. Limit posts on mobile, you can show posts as many as you want on desktop but limiting post option on mobile might be helpful.
3.Show related posts by “post title”.
4.Back to top button on mobile
These are what comes on my mind. Can update this post later.

I am sorry the installed versions are Newspaper 9 and Newspaper 7 child theme and I want to update to Newspaper Version: 10.3.9.1!

I tried to update my website from the activated Newspaper child theme 7 to Newspaper Version: 10.3.9.1 . I did everything based on the description “B. Update the theme via FTP” but when I activated the newspaper theme in my WordPress with all necessary plugins I am not able to see the website as it was before. I see only the titles without any visuals, headers etc. I was thinking that I have also to replace the funtions.php ,header.php style.php footer.ph etc with those I had in the old Newspaper directory but didn’t work. I am new to this so I don’t have any experience in updating the theme. Could you please help me? Can you suggest to me what further steps are necessary in order to have an updated theme and my website as it was before?

I used TagDiv Composer to edit the mobile version of my website and I see the page like this:
When I access the page from a mobile device the theme is different and does not update on all pages of the site. How to solve this problem?
It looks like the update removed some of the article box choices. I have the html coding in that space but I am unable to access it to remove it. It’s on the hamepage in the right sidebar, under the search tab. https://atlantachristianvoice.com.

During the theme update, it will be ok if you can disable all non-theme plugins, this will help to prevent theme updates errors.

Please make sure that your update procedure has been fully completed properly and that there is no plugin conflict. This may be a plugin conflict. You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Also you can try and remove and re-install the tagDiv Composer plugin and please send us a link to your website in order to take a look.

After updating to the latest version 10.3.2 the homepage slideshow has disappeared.
What to do to fix this error?
I had to restore the backup, to see the slideshow back.
Could someone from the support do the update for me, please?
