I am using Newspaper theme and was trying to change the title/link color on mousehover. I have tried to edit it using the tag composer and also tried css changes but nothing of them works. When I change it using the tag composer the color don’t updates. It keep on showing the previous color. The css I have used is

Please revert. It’s urgent. I want to solve it ASAP.
The theme is great. Support not so much. THey keep babbling the same thing without any help (refering to things everyone has done already). They know they have an issue but aren’t telling us about when they will update their code.
Once TagDiv updates their code, the warning should disappear and you can then delete the plugin.

I went on the site just now and saw the following notice in the UPDATES panel of the Theme. I assume from this that even the validation key for the theme was wiped out during the update, which from the notice was incomplete. What should I do?

Disappointed to hear that my email to tagdiv contact was not found. I have resent the email because I want the technical staff to have a look and try to identify the source of the problem. I have not followed your suggestion re a manual update because if that is the solution, it means that I will feel compelled to go through that process every time there is an update. I hope this matter can be addressed in short order, given all the circumstances.

To fix this problem with smart list you need to replace the content from this file path wp-content/themes/Newspaper/functions.php with this code
Also these changes will be add in an update as soon as possible.

You mean I can’t use a child theme?
Then what if I need to update the theme? Will all my settings be wiped out when I update the parent theme?

I found a solution, but without a child theme, it must be done manually after each template update, but it’s better this way:

We found that on Single Post Template 20 the problem is with some settings that were made on Single Post Bg Featured Image, until now this cloud templates was not updated, but you can use it, what you need to do is to rested the style using the right click -> https://i.imgur.com/01X61bO.png save the changes and refresh the page, after that add the Overlay color -> https://i.imgur.com/SsAqjPz.png and save the changes and check the results.

When you make a theme update, please make sure that you make first a theme backup and you follow our guide from here -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/ and do not forget to update the theme plugins and activate them -> https://i.imgur.com/8FKkDYd.png and if something is not set correctly in theme panel after update, you can use the options from Import / Export theme settings to use a theme panel backup.

Hi, I’ve today bought and activated Newspaper on the WordPress site I am developing and it does not seem to be complete. There are no demos, update and activation of the plugins has failed. I am left with a site that now just has my sample posts in a long line with no layout at all and the extensive information I had on various widgets seems to have disappeared. There is minimal functionality evident. I made the change and activated Newspaper understanding it had more flexibility, options and good support, but so far, nothing has worked properly. The only tabs are for Welcome, plugins (which are listed as outdated/ inactive) and support.
What is going wrong please?
