I have recently found an issue with Newspaper theme and the newest version (14.5) of Yoast SEO. Things were working as intended until recent update this past weekend. The issue is that any users who are not in the role of administrators or Editor (ex: contributors, authors, etc) cannot access Posts any longer on the WP admin section when the plugin is activated.

Environment:
WP v5.4.2
Newspaper Theme v10.3.5
Yoast SEO v14.5

Steps to replicate error:
1) Login to WP as an user who has role of Contributor or Author
2) Click on Posts in left navigation
3) Instead of seeing the list of posts you see the error:
“There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

Debug steps
1) Deactivate Yoast Plugin and follow steps above and step 3 works as intended
2) With Yoast Plugin activated, deactivate Newspapaer Theme and follow steps above and step 3 works as intended
3) Change the role of the same user used above from Contributor or Subscriber to an Editor or Administrator and follow steps above and Posts work as intended

I have a few questions for styling the cloud template. I’m looking for universal settings instead of editing individual cloud templates (I’m using a few on-site, not easy to edit each of them).

1, Theme font, I see the option to change Page Fonts, but no setting to change Past Fonts (Where is the common setting to change Post Title, Heading Tags, etc.?
2, How to Adjust the Block header font size and style? I’m looking for a universal place to change (default size and font) that, so it can reflect in all pages and cloud templates.
3, Any universal setting to change Single Author Font Size, Modified/Updated date Font, etc?
4, How to customize Mobile Menu & Mobile Search Overlay Screens? I’m looking for moving the social icons below the Mobile Menu Items and Add recommended search terms in Mobile Search Overlay Screen.

After updating the new version on Newspaper them, I can’t able to update Pages content via TD Composer, it showing this option http://prntscr.com/thmchw and that’s not clickable, how can I fix this?

I am trying to make changes to frontend of the theme, but it doesn’t respond to any change I make from WordPress Dashboard.
I updated the top header menu but it doesn’t reflect on frontend. The top header doens’t change, the favicon doesn’t change what is going on?

Hi, I have updated theme to most recent release of Newspaper but have now downgraded my wordpress back to 5.2.7 after it was updated to 5.4 which broke a lot of elements for me.

However, now I have a gallery issue. Prior my gallery options were: slideshow, tiled mosaic, thumbnails, square etc as offered by Jetpack. Now I only have Tagdiv slideshow and default and that’s it. How do I go back to slideshow/tiled mosaic/thumbnails etc? It’s disappeared?

I have had my Newspaper Theme updated to the most recent release.

Looks like WordPress also updated to 5.4.2 and now many options in my site are not working – image gallery won’t load when you click on individual images, IRL no longer available as forced to Gutenberg, if you use Classic Editor plugin then you can’t access link options.

Is there a way to revert WordPress without losing content created since the update?

Hello Team,

We are facing a very weird issue with your theme.

Whenever I am embedding something in a post the preview of the iframe or any youtube video or anything related to the previews are not showing.

This is started some days back when we update the theme.

I have checked when I disable the tag-div-composer plugin the preview comes up and works fine but as soon I used the default theme tag div editor the previews are gone.

We need to use the tag-div-composer because the whole website structure depends on that.

Please help us as soon as possible.

And also the child theme the old one which we have been using previously is not working with the new update it’s breaking the website.

Hello, the branding and design of my website means that the mobile theme doesn’t quite suit the design. Because of this, I have to use the original design (without the mobile theme installed, etc). The only issue with this is that there is very little customisation available for my mobile website.

I would like to be able to change the order of the blocks on my mobile website on the tagdiv composer, however I don’t seem to be able to do this without also changing the blocks of the desktop website. Is there anyway I can do this? If not, would you be able to include it into another update? This is quite necessary for my mobile website and if it isnt possible I may have to switch themes.Thank you.

Would it be possible to provide in one of the next theme-updates another slot for inline ads concerning the mobile theme? Because of the new web core vitals its nearly impossible to use for example the article top ad (causes to high largest contentful paint) or the header ad… the footer ad or the post bottom ad don’t work so good…

I want to show last updated/modified date on all posts and pages.

I have activated the option under Theme panel (Block Settings >> Meta info on Modules/Blocks >> Show Modified Date) but the changes are not showing up.
