So after working through your list of items, it would still appear slow at loading the edit content and sometimes when my page loads it does not show the Edit Tag Div green action button.
This is only happened since carrying out the latest theme update.

Always when a new version comes up we imediatly update for it. Indeed our recommendation at the moment in 7.2 or 7.3 But since 7.4 Has been launched I am 100% that a lot of customers already updated and also we did and couldn’t find any issues.
If you are in doubt but still want to try the update you can ask you host to help you with a full backup of your site and then you can try it and see.

Also, I read your above answer again: The social counter plugin is strictly for the counter. It will not affect the sharing options from your theme.

You need to know that there are some big difference from Newspaper v8 to Newspaper v10, in last version the theme is has it’s own builder and is using cloud templates, updating a version so old like Newspaper v8 will be need some adjustments for layout to make it to be in the same way as in that version.
I think that the best way will be to get the last version from your envato account and test it on localhost or subdomain, you can try there to make the theme update, also you’ll need to use the new child version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/

Even in your own requirements here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ it says that php 7.2 is recommended, I just want to be sure that I don’t break any functionality if I update to php 7.4

Since I update to newspaper 10.3.5 all pages build with tagDiv Composer are impossible to edit.
Here is what happens exactly when I click on edit page:
– it shows a spinning wheel and never finishes loading
– tagDiv Composer won’t load the page and displays only a grey page.
FYI I already deactivate some plugin and follow what your article advise but I’m still getting the same result.
Please help me, I need to have this fix asap

My website is running newspaper theme 8 and I want to upgrade to 10. I have a child theme running. In the past I have used an envato market plug-in to upgrade, or just press the ‘upgrade now’ button in the theme panel but nothing is working.

FYI – Here’s how I fixed the problem:
Normally, I would update Newspaper by unzipping the file locally, and then uploading the folders and files unzipped via FTP. This would overwrite the existing files. On a hunch, I tried uploading the Newspaper.zip file to the “themes” folder, and then unzipped it there – and presto!
You may want to rename your existing NP folder to something like Newspaper-bak before unzipping, just to have a backup in case things go wrong. Unzipping will then create a new Newspaper folder for you.
Make sure you change ownership (chown) of the Newspaper folder if you’re uploading as root. If this last part doesn’t make sense to you, then you’re probably on a shared server and you don’t have to worry about it.

I understand that this will be the new method for ranking and we need to adapt to it. Our developers are informed by this problem and is on there list to find something that it will help our theme to be better ranking, but for the moment we do not have a clue for how to do this. Most probably there will be an update or a tutorial like the one for page speed.
As for the elements mentioned, they were just a clue, not sure if it will solve the problem.

You told that we made header builder, footer builder, post template builder to make new unique Website but nothing gives value without mobile menu animations, I see every Website looking similar because everyone has same mobile menu opening animation so it spoil your hard work and we buyer’s loss our investment because it doesn’t provides unique Website experience because of there is no animations and options to changes mobile menu opening animation. I want to buy multiple newspapers licenses to make my different unique website but due to this same mobile menu opening animation stops me to do that because I don’t want to showcase my similar.
So it’s my request to tagdiv developers to add different mobile menu opening animations and option to assign animation that animation to mobile menu while we make unique header.
This helps both developers and buyers like me, developers gets more sells and we buyers get right solution to make unique Website from header to footer.

If instagram changed their API then this can only be fixed with a theme update so don’t expect that it suddenly will start working again.
