Calin, thank you for your response. I did make some progress.
1). I checked all requirements and most conformed. The only thing I had to do was update the htaccess file and then all requirements were met.
I also deactivated all plugins that I didn’t get with the theme.
In the end, it was the same behavior. When I create a template from the category-nomad template, it works properly and the button on the template page says “create template”. When I try it with the contact-nature love template, the same button says “create PAGE”. So, again, my question is: is that the way it’s designed and you can’t create a template from nature love? Or is it mis-behaving?
2) I was able to change the image using the method you described. So thank you for that one! A supplementary question: if I want to have the image fill the field, what size is best to make the image so I can control better what is being displayed?
3) I had WP-forms lite installed, but noticed that it was Contact 7 that was listed in your tested plugins, so I had changed. Should WP-forms also be listed on your list of tested plugins?
The issue is not so much that I don’t know the process to follow in this case — what happens is that when I click the EDIT CONTENT button, the edit window opens, but it doesn’t load. I only get the circle going round and round and it never loads. I’ve tried this on different browsers and its the same issue. Any suggestions for that?

btw if i delete color the text is wisible again, but if i add any color its hidden again.

This and all such pages, only show a number of categories with the rest being as a submenu/dropdown. I want all of them to show up, without dropdown. How do I set that?
Additionally:
• The subcategory/siblings links don’t show up in the AMP/Mobile menu. Only about 4-5 of them show up.
• In amp/mobile view and only in Category pages, the logo goes over the sandwich icon menu and the icon can’t be clicked.
• The newsletter subscription page at the end of each post doesn’t show in AMP/Mobile
• Should I set additional analytics code for the AMP pages? Now there is GA in the Analytics code (theme panel) AND an AMP related analytics script (as mentioned in the instructions) through the AMP Analytics plugin. But I also see a Theme Panel/Mobile Theme AMP analytics too.. So, what is the correct method to setup and track everything correctly?
• Is there a way to make in-content links bold and only them?
• When I am logged out and I want to test how to make a comment, there is some ajax trying to load but the login so to be able to enter comments is now loading at all. Why?
• When I click to see pages (not posts) through AMP/Mobile sandwich menu, the content of the pages is not shown! I checked with cleaned cache!!!!

I have checked the system requirements you specified. The only setting not compliant was PHP that has now been updated to 7.2. All the other requirements are superior to the minimum requirement.
After updating the PHP, the speed dropped even more. According to Google Speed insight, the website went from 38/39 to 36/37. Just a minor difference but not an improvement as well.
I have deactivated more plugins but with no results. It is very strange since with the previous theme and more plugins active my speed never dropped below 90.
For your reference, the website is on Cludflare and I have the following active plugins: Autoptimize, Async JavaScript, Breeze, Webcraftic Clearfy and WP Super Cache.
Any clue if there is some conflict here? Do you have any idea why after installing Newspaper the speed dropped so dramatically?

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme/tested plugins, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.

So you would like to remove the sidebar position and selection options? That could be done by removing the actual code for them – https://prnt.sc/oofvct
But after an update it will have to be done again. A setting to disable these options does’t exist unfortunately.

From what I know the button issue was solved in a previous update, so it shouldn’t happen anymore.
The video should now be in view when clicking the button to play it, looks fine on my end.

I’m trying to create a contact page using one of your cloud templates — the one called “nature love”.
The first issue, is when I try to import the template to the cloud template list, it will only create a new page, not download the template. Is that the way it’s supposed to be?
Second, I can’t find out how to change the picture of the lion to one appropriate to my website. I’ve checked the documentation and all the controls in the elements but don’t see how to do it. Can you help with that one?
Third, the short code for an updated form won’t work … it looks like it needs HTML. How can I use Contact 7 or other form plugins? They give me shortcode to work with and not HTML.

I recently updated my newspaper theme… and had previous pages built in the old WPBakery builder, which I have now deactivated
I am trying to create a brand new fresh page using the Tag Div Composer.
I am struggling to add actual content!
I’m using a “Text with Title” block, but when I click on “EDIT CONTENT” a “WP Editor” dialogue pops up, but just hangs, showing a sort of “loading” graphic of a circle spinning round.
Any ideas? Thanks

The bug mentioned in this topic about the button video pop-up bug on mobile (the browser scrolling all the way up, and having to scroll down to see the video) unfortunately still exists and it has been 3 updates later already without a fix (as far as I can see). I have lots of pages planned for release on October 1st, and all those pages are structured in such a way that the video pop-up button plays an important role.

copying the single.php from this location and renaming it (in my case) to single-podcast.php fixed the issue. It was not necessary to copy loop-single also.
Please make sure, that this bug is fixed in the next update, so I can delete the file in my child-folder and the default template is used also for CPT. Thank you!

If I understand correctly you are referring to an option to allow you to enable/disable the amp on posts in function of the category, unfortunately for the moment the only option is individual, maybe in the coming updates will be add some more options.

@meri You could use flex blocks, these now have options to change the heading of the title (since update 9.7.4) – https://prnt.sc/onaohm – https://prnt.sc/onaoo8
The options is available for all the flex blocks.
However, if you would like to modify a block template, that is possible to do in a child theme now. So for example if you use block template 3, copy it in the child theme like so
– https://prnt.sc/onapsr then modify the heading from h4 to what you want.
