Hello, I had to change because Revolution Slide don´t work properly. Is more beautiful, and have more options.. but don’t update in browser when new post is added. Literally I tried all that my knowledge let.
Slide shortcode is simple, with many limitations, but works.
I still need to use rev slider because is what the customer want.
I upgraded to a new server and can activate the theme, but I’m having trouble updating it.

All the changes that you need to do are using the tagdiv Composer.
1. Please install and activate the tagdiv Opt-in Builder plugin to have the section with subscribe. You can use the lead element that is in the page, but with this you can only collect emails; If you use the lead element, this will be added in Opt-In Builder -> Emails.
In the newsletter provided by our theme, you can use embed code from Mailchimp, Mailer Lite or FeedBurner -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-newsletter-plugin/ Please check if it is like this -> https://i.imgur.com/MaowNUz.png

Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).

The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

So, should I understand that you did an update and your categories were deleted, or did you update and install a prebuilt website, and that’s when the problem appeared?
So, if you had a prebuilt website with content and organized the posts based on the imported categories, then when you installed a new prebuilt website, those categories were deleted. Therefore, you need to import only the templates, not an entire prebuilt website. Also, depending on your prebuilt website, you will need to edit the header template with tagDiv Composer and set a menu https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/. Thank you for your reply. I have one more question. I am editing the services section. I want to update the font size, but the italic and bold settings are fine through the editor, but there is no change even though I increase the font size. How can I edit this? Is the font size limited externally from a certain place?

I´m developing a site using Newspaper and newspaper-politics, everything Is ok the first time, or when the browser cache is empty, but then don´t update by anyway.

I use W3 Total Cache, I tried deleting all caché and refreshing then de browser but don’t update.
I put W3 even to 60secs, and nothing.
I put on and off internal cache go RevSlider… but nothing.
If you enter now, and then you refresh a few time later you will see that the first slide is not the same as the later post in the first nodule.
If you use different browser then will be different slides that don’t change at all.
How can I force the browser to clean cache or how the browser detect that need to update when the site cache is cleared?

Hi. We are the very happy owner of your theme. Everything was running smooth so far, but, we have two articles that gives error when we try to modify and update them :

This happen only on those two articles, and :
We disable Tag div plugins and even re installed them, didn’t work
We disable Wp Cache And Jet back boost, but didn’t changed
We tried by modifying HT access as some online helps post suggest, but crahed the website

Hello, I’m still unable to do the upgrade:
Once I do it and chose the template from the prebuilt websites, some of my categories disappear and articles are then placed as UNCATEGORIZED:
The result has been the same after 5 times I tried (both automatic and manual update):
These categories are always copied correctly:
– Deportes (890 articles)
– Destacados (3321 articles)
– Economia (492 articles)
– Editorial (40 articles)
– Diversion (1150 articles)
– Mundo (3082 articles)
– Nacionales (3801 articles)
– Videos (4 articles)
AND, the UNCATEGORIZED category which had 0 articles on my site, now shows 4583 articles after the prebuilt website is installed. (Noticed that 8,037 articles from the Diversion, Mundo, Nacionales and Videos disappeared and only 4583 appeared now as Uncategorized)
Please help

After switching to 12.6.8 – our categories have completely barfed (they worked under 12.6.6). While the big grid still works a treat, and so does our sidebar, the two columns are all over the shop. Here’s a link: https://www.exhaustnotes.com.au/motoring-news/
I’m happy to go back to 12.6.6 if need be, to make stuff work properly, but a fix would be great. I’ve tried the usual things already, including flushing the caches for WP Rocket, and both our SiteGround caches, but to no avail. I even tried re-opening the design in Composer and saving it again, just in case that fixed it, but again, to no avail.
I’ll hold off updating our second site (on its own licence), to beyond .6 for now, until this is resolved.

Hi, whenever we update the template the same thing happens. The mobile menu is not displayed correctly. And we don’t know how to change it, we have tried changing it from the layout designer but it doesn’t work. We added two more categories to the menu, but those two categories are not displayed.

Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Depends on what custom changes, if you will make a change in the theme files, then you need to use a child theme, but for the changes made with tagdiv Composer is not necessary.
Please make sure to create a backup of all files and the database before updating the theme, and ensure that after the update, the theme’s plugins, such as Composer, Cloud, and any other plugins you use, are activated

I’ve been using child themes for 14 years or so, so I’m not sure what you mean by “Child theme not required…”.
So, what is the update process when updating the theme, that doesn’t overwrite custom changes?
