I have tried multiple attempts and methods to update to the latest version of tagdiv but am getting the error “The site is experiencing technical difficulties”. In the backend when I try to update the homepage and open tagdiv (after updating and activating) I get the error: Error at zones: 5(models) : 0(dom). The model does not match the content.
Hey,
Sorry, I sent you the wrong login details, it works for the main website: https://travel2next.com and not for staging where I want to try to update the theme: https://travelstage.wpengine.com
Can I share the login details to my staging from another email?

Hi,
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Also please try to use the child from the package, ( child theme from v9.6.1)

If you are using single image from WPBakery, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/layout-issues-with-latest-version/
Thumbnails – Fix strange looking images on blocks -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If the problem is still there, please delete( delete the theme plugins too, do not override ) the current version of Newspaper that you have and download again from themefores the newspaper and reinstall it.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks.
Blank space between the text and the image or between the text and the title. The styles of the post templates (2,3,4,5,6, 7 and 8) are not well optimized.
This problem exists since the last update.

Hello !
After the 9.7 update many of the theme files were moved in the tagDiv composer, due to the new Envato theme requirements. There is an article about it here
– https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Thank you !
I have updated the themes to the latest version, but I receive the following error.
“The site has technical problems, see if the instructions have reached the email tray of the administrator of the site.”
This appears when the js_composer and td_composer add-ons are activated. I have made a clean and new wp installation, and the same thing I keep getting that error. When you deactivate js_composer and td_composer, I can access wp-admin again.
I’m finally updating my theme (it’s been awhile – Oct 2018). The reason I take a while to update it because I make customizations to the core files. Probably not the best way, but gets the job done for now. Anyway, in this latest update when I compare my old files with the new ones, it has a ton of missing files. Not sure if this is just the new condensed version or I didn’t download it right? Particularly in the ‘newspaper/parts/header’ folder, the latest update shows 4 files compared with 30 from the old version. Thanks.
Hello !
Please take a look at this documentation regarding updating and installing the plugins manually: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-install-plugins-and-update-plugins/
Thank you!
Hi,
So you are setting a featured image for the post, then each time you update the post the same image appears again in the media library?
That would be unusual, the theme will use the image set as featured from the media library to create thumbnails. A total of 19 sizes will be created if they are all enabled – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
But it won’t duplicate the original image. Does that happen if you deactivate all non-theme plugins as a quick test?
If you want us to investigate this, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Mention some example of this happening, or how we can recreate the issue to see it. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
So flex blocks are not an option? They have settings for the images, you could load a bigger thumbnail and use the width/height and position settings
– http://prntscr.com/nrc77u
Modifying the cropping method would require that you edit the tagDiv composer files (after update 9.7)
The thumbnails are defined here – http://prntscr.com/nrc4yp
Then the future thumbnails will use the new cropping. The existing thumbnails will have to be regenerated, you can use the plugin mentioned here for example
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
But I should note that modifications to the plugins will be lost after the theme and plugins are updated.
Hi,
we are running our site (www.florida.nu) on Newspaper, the site was set up for us, using a child theme (v7.2c). I updated the newspaper theme to 9.6.1.(we rolled back from the recent update because we are working with WP bakery page builder and this is not compatible with tagdiv composer), but the child theme still remains on v 7.2c.
The mobile version of the site is not working properly any more. The menu does not work (nothing happens when you click on it) and the pictures are not shown, neither in the grids nor on the posts.
Another issue we have been having is that when creating a link in facebook, facebook does not show our images on that link anymore. I ran a check and the Warnings that came up were:
” Inferred Property The ‘go:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.”
and
“Missing properties The following required properties are missing: g:url, go:type, go:image, go:description, fb:app_id”
Maybe this issue is related?
I have disabled all plugins, using the health check & troubleshoot plugin, this did not change anything for either issue.
What else can I do? And what is the advantage of running a child theme? May this be the problem? Can I switch to the normal theme without problems?
Thanks,
Thanks for reaching back out, I am also having a number of issues since the update with my mobile menu no longer showing. I have read through other peoples post on here who are having similar issues and it seams there is no solution (the amp plugin is not a go for me I have had a number of problems with it in the past). I have emailed support to be able to download the previous version of the theme.
Thanks
Hi,
The loop files are now in the composer plugin, as in the screenshot from above. You could edit the ones you want and enter the code there, but I should note that when the theme and plugins are updated the code would have to be entered again.
An exception is the default post template which remained in the theme and can still be edited in a child theme
– http://prntscr.com/nr8qm4
Instead of this maybe try using a cloud post template. Enter the plugin shortcode directly in the template while editing with the composer.
If you use the ratings plugin try t like here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-edit-post-template-in-version-9-7-1/
Ok so i was using sidebar ad placement and custom ad, but its not working anymore. So when i trie to change the ad its just loading in loop, i cant change it, cant update it. I cant even set ad that i was ussing all this months.
<div style=”position: relative; width: 300px; height: 250px; z-index: 1002;”> <a href=”http://www.np-kornati.hr/hr/” target=”_blank” style=”display:block; position: absolute; top: 0;
left:0; right:0; width:300px; height:250px; z-index: 1001; background:transparent;”><embed style=”position: relative; z-index: 1;” src=”https://www.feral.news/banner/NpKornati/NPKORNATI.html”width=”300px” height=”250px”></embed></div>
This was the code for the add, and now when i trie to put it it simple does not work, its just trying to upload when I click to save it, and i cant fiy it
I used the Dark Version Demo. In a recent update all of my image captions have changed to a very dark grey, which is near invisible in the dark theme.
I have searched through the many text formatting options in the theme panel, and looked everywhere else i can think as a possibility, but I can’t see anywhere I can change their colour, nor figure how it could be achieved for image captions universally in CSS.
Hope you can help.
I have now fixed the problem.
It seems that one cache plugin (Autooptimize) was conflicting. So I’ve deleted that.
I’ve deleted and reinstalled WP Supe Cache too.
I also had to uninstall Google Chrome and reinstall it as it wasn’t loading the most recent version of the site despite me clearing my browser.
I would still like the updated version WPBakery Page Builder – thanks.
Thanks
Always when I update my post, the featured Image is duplicated in the medias panel.
And there is no reason for this… Before I installed the theme this did not happen.
Do you have any ideas why?
Another error message which is appearing on my WP dashboard is:
Warning! Could not update /var/sites/l/lifewithoutmeat.com/public_html/wp-config.php! WPCACHEHOME must be set in config file.
To make sure I have the right information, please can you send me the most recent updates (zip folders) for the following plugins:
WPBakery Page Builder
Revolution Slider
Thanks,
Georgia
Hi
I have recently updated my theme following advice via recent emails from yourselves. It was successful. However, there seems to be a problem with Slider Revolution.
When viewing the website post-update, I’m faced with following errors:
‘Revolution Slider Error: You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the revolution files js include.
This includes make eliminates the revolution slider libraries, and make it not work.
To fix it you can:
1. In the Slider Settings -> Troubleshooting set option: Put JS Includes To Body option to true.
2. Find the double jquery.js include and remove it.’
To fix the above I ave attempted to replace files using FTP following this guide: https://www.themepunch.com/faq/update-plugin-packaged-theme/. However, error message is still appearing.
Another problem is: no images are appearing
See site: https://www.lifewithoutmeat.com/
How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Georgia
I updated my theme to use mobile theme weeks ago and after activating AMP, I got a bunch of links returning the errors AMP component ‘script’ tag is present, but unused. How do i fix this please
Hi Calin,
That CSS looks fantastic, but it still leaves the scores in a star format rather than points or percentages. Please see here:
http://compareallvans.co.uk/reviews/
Is there a way to have this set so that it follows the scoring format used by the post? This would also be helpful across the theme’s post blocks and schema markup, so hopefully it’s something that can be included in a future update.
Many thanks for your time, as always.
stuart
Hi,
That is possible, thought it would be like installing a new theme almost. There were many changes in the theme since version 7, the changelog can be seen at the bottom of this page
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
Also check out this article – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Maybe it would be better to test this in a development install or copy of the website, instead of the live website, if possible. This would be safer. There are plugins that can duplicate the website, or clone it (like the duplicator plugin). Then update there first, to see the results.
This would be better than trying it on the live website, I believe it is worth considering

Here is an update guide as well – https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
