First please re-save the permalinks.
If is not working please try to deactivate all plugins that are not tested with our theme https://www.screencast.com/t/oZYW3ylY0V , clear all cache.
Please make sure that you have the last version of theme ( Newspaper 9.1 ), if you don’t have it please update the theme.

Also incidentally the categories in the right sidebar are not longer showing even though I have several. Please advise.
I need a way to disable header/footer ads for posts within a specific category, as those posts are promoted and can not contain ads. The ads are not part of the post content so I can’t use “add_filter” to remove them without hooks at the theme level, which I can not find.
The only solutions I found require modifying theme files, which means I can never update the theme for our sites (of which there are many) without manually making those changes every time we update, which is not an option.
Is there any way I can create a filter that will let me remove the header/footer ads for posts within a specific category?

I just updated my website to Newspaper 9.1 and TagDiv composer has got automatically decativated…
When I try to activate it again – it fails with an error message – TagDiv Composer is incompatible with

These Ajax hits are being generated from the Newspaper theme. With such a high amount coming through so quickly it is overloading our server queueing system we have for requests and causing 504 errors to occur:

This particular theme does not allow easy updates regarding the Ajax activity. I would recommend reaching out to the theme developers to see if they can provide some input on getting their Ajax activity under control.
Beyond that everything else appears to be in good shape so far. I’ll keep an eye on the server and update you with any additional insight, but if you have any questions for me please let me know!

Wow, I couldn’t look at the old posts because of my lack of internet at home. Thanks for informing me about this. So there is no problem at my side. I tried everything after the update. I tried to look console messages, tried to disable AdSense, tried to regenerate images, tried to purge cache in Cloudflare, looked for the changed files from 4.5 to 4.6. Anyway, we have to wait for some time I guess. Thanks 🙂

The problem is solved with these changes. In the screenshot 1, I was having to delete a part of the code right? To look like the one you marked with the arrow. In the screenshot 2, where you put “comment our this section”, I did not do anything, I did right?
One more thing. Everytime I update the theme, I will have to modify the files again or replace the new ones with the ones I modified? Or witouth touching anything everything will be okey?
It would be nice if you can correct this for the next update.

I tied to edit the post max size post execution time as were told in the theme status panel in order to get away from errors. so according to the link provided (https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/)
I updated my php.ini file but nothing is changed.
when i update my .htaccess file it gives a server error.

There was an issue like you mention in the tagDiv composer, you must be using an older version. Currently the problem is solved. You should update the theme, edit the text elements with the issues and remove the slashes (they will not appear anymore after you do this)

Recently there were other priorities over the AMP plugin development, like the cloud library plugin for example. There are plans to implement many customization options for AMP in future updates, it may take some time however.
The next tasks for coming updates would be related to theme optimization in terms of performance, there will be some modifications made in this matter. Sorry again for any inconvenience.

Notice that all of your additional customizations will be removed when a new version of the theme will be updated because this one will overwrite all the code of the theme. You should customize it again.

Hey, I had the same issue. It isn’t an opacity issue, the images just aren’t loading.
I tried disabling every non-tagdiv plugin, it sill didn’t work.
I had to finally restore a backup (thankfully I had made one before running the update)
Please look into it.

I am so glad to have such support and you helped me.
We are using Newspaper theme and I have some other issues so when I see such as support even if somethings are not reachable now it can make me to ask them all other issues.
You know the AMP is so important right now specially for the news website because of Google News, its Top stories ( Displaying the Site’s Logo as a news source and…). Actually I should say when the theme had not AMP I had to use other plugins but when I found it in the recent updates I was so happy, I should say I prefer to use ourself AMP plugin instead of other plugins, so I ask you to update it as soon as possible. There is a plugin right now which I should buy it about 50$ and its name is Newspaper AMP. I am sure you can have it better and we use it even if we should buy it.

By a setting that is not possible. It will require modifications to the design in the plugin code to make it centered. These will be lost after you update the theme however.
I believe this is on our list of suggestions and will be considered to be implemented in the plugin in the future. Maybe there will be a setting created for this specifically. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Glad it worked and sorry again for the inconvenience. Seems that despite multiple tests being made on our side some issues still happen.
Currently I can’t say when there will be another update, we try to fix as many issues as possible and add new features before releasing an update.

The path to the placeholder images is set in the general module file

That file is not supported to be modified in a child theme, if it would be a modification to the path would work. For example

But as it is you would have to modify the path in the module file after each update, in the main theme.
