Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you! Bogdan B
Hello,
It appears the error points to the wodrpress directory. Please try to switch to a wp default theme to see if the error is still there. You can try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Also if you use a child theme you can try to switch to the main theme.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,
Visual composer works only on pages – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ You could try to use the shortcode of a block you added in Visual composer – http://screencast.com/t/aTUEgtrUefY – http://screencast.com/t/0nXHRh88sHbk and insert it in your post but there is no way to tell for sure if it will work.
The related articles comes from the file loop-single.php located here – http://screencast.com/t/vSyE3icTp You will have to modify the code in order to replace it with something else. To disable it go to Theme panel->Post settings – http://screencast.com/t/h6MGeg9yBH1h
Thanks
Hello seekandpartners,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, if the problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP, without any untested plugins and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Please try one more thing.
Disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Let us know if you still have this issue without the plugins.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately if for your testing site it works properly, maybe you do require a htaccess adjustment for permalinks or the SEO yoast plugin: http://screencast.com/t/KSiSNiAGiON
I cannot say for sure. You can also try to please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello Peter Arnegger,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you a way to make these changes, sorry! Notice that this is the layout of this type of homepage post and if you want to modify this functionality of this template you should edit the theme core file corresponding to this feature in Visual Composer. Notice that is not a simple task, and if you are not aware of doing this custom work, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide this type of services at the moment, sorry!
Thanks, for the message!

Hello,
Sorry but you cannot use the mobile theme for specific page and the responsive version for others. The mobile theme will not use visual composer so that means that any pages that have content blocks will have to be created for mobile users using the standard mce editor without any content blocks. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks.
Hello TJPreneur,
I have checked your page source and I noticed that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. First of all, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results.

Hello,
If you just want to ad tabs on posts you can do so using visual composer. I;m not sure what themes you used before but each theme has it’ s own custom elements and shortcodes and it;s impossible for another theme to detect them and render anything. If for example you use our content blocks and want to switch to a different theme, you will never be able to use our content blocks shortcode with any other theme out there because our blocks are made custom. They are not compatible with other themes, plugins, etc. Plugins are built on the standard wordpress code. Themes have custom element which plugins cannot recognize. On he other hand visual composer is the most widely spread plugin so the visual composer shortcodes will work on any theme if you use the same plugin but agaon, visual composer shortcodes will not work with another builder unless it is specifically created to do so.
Thanks

Hello,
The update should run smoothly and there is nothing to be concerned about. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and make sure you also update all theme plugins: visual composer, social counter, mobile theme (they will not update automatically)
Thanks.

I am using ”Single Image” with Visual Composer on this page with the link beneath and I have a small problem that has big consequences on my page in terms of looks.
On the widget title when I edit the Single Image I put a name like ”ROBIN VAN ROOSMALEN” and on a other Single Image I put ”Cedric Doumbe” on the widget title. The problem now is that ”Cedric Doumbe” only uses one line while ”Robin van Roosmalen” uses 2 lines and I cant change this with the use of space on the widget title.
Can someone help me to put 2 lines on every widget title so it maches up?
PS: writing dots after the name or so is not an option like”Cedric Doumbe….”
Hello ,
Above the footer of my website : animal-welfare.org, there is the ‘Big Grid 5’ element.
I want to expand the ‘HOT NEWS’ block , to eliminate the blank space below that block, so that
‘HOT NEWS’ and ‘LATEST ARTICLES’ blocks have similar bottoms.
I tried to use visual composer, but i saw that edting blocks of big grids is not an option.
Is it possible to expand ‘HOT NEWS’ block?
Best regards
Thanks, I realise the data is always stored in the database, my question in that area is where in the database. I was worried that the post text would not be able to be referenced by other plugins, themes etc. So far it seems to work though.
What I really need is a decent tab plugin, which I haven’t managed to find, which would take someone elses shortcodes. I’ve found one that very very nearly does that, but it looks ugly. I have to say I’m surprised that your theme, which is so highly rated does not include such a basic capability. That said, this experience has created an extremely strong dislike for shortcodes with me, so I’m keen to never use them again. Or at least use something like Visual Composer that is somewhat theme agnostic. Using VC for posts and pages, probably means I barely need the tagdiv theme though, maybe I should have just left it as it was given I already own VC.
I guess this is the problem with pre-made themes, good generic capability, but not good for specific things, although this one is clearly quite basic.
I’m disappointed.
I have resolved the issue by using Image Gallery widget Visual Composer. Previously I used the default WP Gallery
I’ve upgraded to WP 4.7 but I’m cautious about upgrading Newspaper from 7.1.1 (May 2016) to the current 7.6 because I notice there is a need to update Visual Composer.
I noticed that the TagDiv Social Media Counter is no longer working on my site at all so I hope to upgrade to restore this functionality.
Is there anything I need to be aware of before I attempt an upgrade?
Hello,
It could be the auto optimize plugin or other third party plugins used. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hello,
Do you have newspaper version 4 at the moment? That is version 4 not version 7.4 or 6.4
That script is only indended for users that have the very old version of our theme from years ago.
As for visual composer, you can download the latest version of the theme from envato and it will contain visual composer 5. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately if these tabs is what you want to achieve then you will have to use visual composer on posts and add the tab each time you create the post as there is no way of changing it if you add it in a post template. Simply activate visual composer on posts and place the tab element in the post content. The post data will always be stored in the database of WP
Thank you!
Hello newsmaguser,
If you want to replicate the Scandal Magazine homepage, you should add the following code at your Visual Composer editor. -> http://screencast.com/t/7zPPuzHelFSi -> http://pastebin.com/XmEJ6p0S The code can be added here -> http://screencast.com/t/WUcFOxnZL
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about what exactly you want to achieve so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
1) There is quite a distinct difference between block 5 and block 15. I;m not sure what you mean. You use block 5 there not 15. Here is how the 2 blocks display:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-5/
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-15/
2)That is a category archive, not a page. It shows all of the posts in that category in the module you select from the per category settings in the theme panel.
3)Again, it;s a category and there are no blocks on category pages. Please try to learn the wordpress functionality as a page is not = to a category. You cannot edit categories in visual composer. categories are handled differently: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-category-settings-work/
If you are not sure if a page is a standard page or a category or a post simply hit right click and hit inspect in your browser. and you will see the class on the body like so: http://screencast.com/t/rJ4nBexhu and the category: http://screencast.com/t/LwXbe6aC9
Thank you!
