I have a firewall plan with a ‘Admin panel restricted to only Whitelisted IP addresses’ enabled, so, right now, my firewall is blocking the visualization of this file. I attach a screenshot for you to better understand, here: https://imgur.com/biR84d4
I would like to know if this file is just necessary for the admin backend or if needed and important for the proper front end view by the users (in this case, I can whitelist this path on the firewall).

After the new PHP update that happened a week back, I have been unable to operate my website normally because of the incompatibility between my theme and visual composer. I contacted support at WPbakery visual composer, and they said that it was the author of the Newspaper theme who had made a certain upgrade or customization for me in the past, and thats where the bug was.
Could you kindly help me look in to this?
Hi, I am designing a single template with the TD Visual Builder. I have a raw HTML section there where i want to display the Post title in a <div> Element. I tried inserting the <?php the_title ?> and other options to get the post title via php but it didn’t have any effects whatsoever.
Did i oversee something or is it for html only?

Hello, I just purchased Newspaper to update an old website built in 2006 (!). I am reading the intro documents and see this: “You need to edit the page with the builder it was initially created with. Do not edit a page with tagdiv composer if it was not originally built with it. If you created your page in visual composer and then switched to our own page builder, you will have to re-create that page”
So I have over 2000 pages I have to redo from scratch to use the builder?! Is there no other way to import the style to the existing posts?

The plugin is in our theme, but we do not longer recommend to use it only if you relay need it, because this can provide some problems in theme functionality.

My site uses quite ling titles, and we need to be able to cut them visually where needed.
And noticed that the <br /> tag in an article title is not working with Big Grid or flex block or modules.

Indeed is look that if you set an heading on category the paragraphs will not apply, you need to add it manually like this, also do not change back on visual, because the p will be removed.

The tagDiv Composer is a builder for pages and templates only, not for post, only for post templates, so if you want you can use it on a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library.
The Visual Composer Front-end Editor can not be use only if the tagDiv Composer is disable.

Update: I have been fiddling with a staging copy of one of our sites that I upgraded to 5.3 and it appears that the issue is due to a conflict between the new Gutenberg editor in WordPress 5.3 and the tagDiv Composer.
I confirmed this by disabling tagDiv Composer and the issue with not being able to add / edit posts and pages went away. Needless to say that is not a solution, but I have some good news. Since the conflict is between the theme’s composer vs. gutenberg, I installed a plugin called “Disable Gutenberg” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-gutenberg/) and the problem was fixed.
For what it is worth, it should not be a surprise that this happened because running multiple visual composers will break a site.
Had the same surprise when you switched off Visual Composer and i had to work 2 months for fix everything.So before updating i’ve tried on the staging version of our news website with high traffic, a lot of templates, more than 354.000 articles, completely optimized for speed, with a good ranking on google.
It will take months of debugging for have it back to normality, and in the meantime the speed with this Standard Pack it’s completly gone and so the rankings and the time and money we invested in the website.
What’s wrong with you TagDiv? I’m not going to switch to X cause this will take the same time to switch to a new and more stable template.
It will be nice from you to set a real SMOOTH Transition to this messy update.
In the meantime i’m searching for a plan B.

You are using a very old theme, there were a lots of changes since Newspaper v7.5, also now the core of our theme is tagDiv Composer, the theme builder.
Making update from v7.5 to the last version will be a very big difference in the theme, it will be almost a new theme, also please make sure that you are making the update according to our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/, first please make a full backup to the theme, also it will be recommend to test first the new theme on local install or on sub-domain, and only after that to make the theme update ( delete all the old theme plugins and the theme and install the new one), also please use only the WPBakery Visual Composer that is coming with our theme, because only these version that comes with the package are tested to work with our theme.

I have no idea how to merge the 3 Blocks like you guys have in the demo content, i could use a couple of tips on how to do that.

I wanted to use Visual Composer for its capabilities but you have not tested it.
On the other hand, I wanted my users can give notes on specific criteria with their comments and it is not possible.

For updating Newspaper to 9.8, I use plugin Envato Market 2.0.3
After updating NP, I use page newspaper/plugins.

If I modify any file in the td_composer plugin, these will be lost when I upgrade to a new version.
I am using the Featured video in the post to insert the video because it generates thumbnails directly from YouTube.

In the td_resize_videos code there is no action declared when the ratio is 4:3. I want to do it then by CSS, but javascript overwrites it.
Have you considered a setting in the Theme Panel to disable or enable the autorize of the javascript function?
Can you tell me a solution? Can you disable the autoresize?

If you want to change the style for lists ( ol li), you can check the settings from theme panel -> http://prntscr.com/pkwe1f also on post you can apply this list from classic element from Gutenberg -> http://prntscr.com/pkwem8 after that change the view from visual editor on code editor and replace the ul with ol -> http://prntscr.com/pkwezf or the easiest way is to use custom css -> http://prntscr.com/pkwfpp

Not sure if this is tagdiv conflicting with visual composer, but its frustrating as hell. Anytime I try to hide a row, it does not take effect. None of the mobile friendly options (like hiding on mobile) just does not work anymore.
Ever since you guys integrated tagdiv editor its just caused more headache than anything.
Please advise. I have never had this problem with this theme before this last update.

Yes, is there option to use TagDiv composer on posts? It was available in Visual Composer so I thouht that here will be the same. I need to add latest posts to each post with specific category.

You can easily use the inline text or column text. Those 2 would be the simplest way to achieve this. Please note that due to the latest Google Chrome updates the VISUAL tab on column text is not working so you will have to edit your text in the text tab as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/HQIR6Wb1Mu

‘Visual’ tab on WP Editor when ‘editing template’ is empty. You can see the contents on the ‘text’ tab. No way to enter new information in ‘content’. Doesn’t look like it allows the cursor (mouse) to click inside the ‘visual tab’ editor box.

Hi, I am using Newspaper Theme with Visual Composer for posts. I would like to use your Modal Image and have activated them in the Theme Panel. I have also read you documentation already and have 2 Question now:
1) Is there an easy way to activate the modal images for all images used in posts or do I have to do it manually for every image in every post?
2) Is there an easy way to change the media target to “Link to media” for every image, too?

There is a known issue on the VISUAL tab since the last Google Chrome update. You can view and edit your content in the TEXT tab or use another browser.

GoalPoint.pt here, using Newspaper theme since 2014.
We are stuck on an issue that we need your help with. By the look of it, via the forums, it’s a problem shared by other users but we could not find specific info on how to solve it other than your availability to investigate it further.
Issue:
1. We have 2 newspaper installs running, one is a private staging/testing website setup, the other the production setup serving the https://goalpoint.pt/ website-
2. Being such an “old” user we have a lot of content using Visual Composer. Nevertheless, we are now starting to build new pages using the TagDiv composer.
3. Our testing went ok in stating environment, building a new page using TagDiv Composer.
4. Nevertheless, while replicating the same content/page in production we get an error message when trying to insert images, being them newly uploaded or existing in the BO:
“Invalid data Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)”
5. Useful information:
a) Staging and Production are running different versions of the Newspaper theme
Production: 9.8
Staging: 9.7.3
Note: we considered reverting back to 9.7.3 on production but this is not a solution (if one) since it would bring back another well known problem the 9.8 version fixed, the behavior of modal images
b) We’ve disabled the few plugins in production that don’t match the stating setup, with no positive effects on solving the issue so it doesn’t look as being related with the classical first suspect (another plugin)
c) We’ve disabled Cloudflare, cleaned caches, etc. No positive results either.
Can you please help us identify and fix this problem?
Do you have any immediate information you can share with us to achieve that?
