Hi,
I understand your issue. The category page for ‘ulkomaat’ does not display the sidebar. You will need to access the theme panel here: http://screencast.com/t/LpupAEHa
If for some reason you do not have the per category settings, then please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn if you use it. Then check the theme panel again. This should rule out a plugin conflict. If your settings are still not there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-amin so we can take a look. Also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!

Hello,
Please do not try to use any other version of visual composer than the one that comes with your theme version. Remove any version you might have installed as well as the js_composer folder and install it from here: http://screencast.com/t/HVN0CJ1nH
Also please increase your wp memory limit and php memory as well by following this guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Hi,
You need to use the thumbnail upscale plugin together with ‘force regenerate’. You need to regenerate you thumbs again for the upscale to take effect. Please also try this without other plugins (disable all other ones except visual composer, thumbnail upscale and force regenerate) so you can avoid plugin conflicts.
Thanks.

Hello,
The video playlist element is added by our theme, so visual composer support cannot cover it. You need to use only the youtube video ID in the element field: http://screencast.com/t/CmJLfgk1S
You can use the demo videos exemplified here: http://screencast.com/t/sSmpfo4BZWqB
As a side-note, you can only use one playlist per page. if 2 playlists are used on the same page, they will not work.
You can follow this guide for more information
https://forum.tagdiv.com/video-playlist-2/
Thanks.

Hello AlexaB,

Please try my workaround after you have disabled all the active plugins because if you are using some untested plugins these can interfere with our theme and could cause some errors. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, you should not use Photon by Jetpack plugins because we have bad reports about this plugin that create a lot of damage in our theme and we do not recommend to use it.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thank you for the message!

Hello,
You can create as many blog pages as you want. Simply create a page in visual composer and add elements to it. Then you can add it as a menu item in your header menu if you like. It is not necessary to use the predefined blog page from our theme.
Thank you!

Hi

1. Please provide your site url so I can inspect this closer. Meanwhile check if in theme panel the category tags are enabled for that specific module, in your case I suspect it’s module 11: http://www.screencast.com/t/JY4NAeuGSg

2. The theme does not have an infinite load pagination for homepage but you can use a block from Visual Composer to achieve the same layout: http://screencast.com/t/j0JQuk7EC

Thanks!

These plugins interact with our theme and could cause a lot of errors. To avoid this case, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

Hello,
breadcrumbs will only appear in the page builder+page title template if you use visual composer elements: http://screencast.com/t/IH92J2VAGRSb
It will appear in the other templates as well but only if there is no visual composer element on the page.
Thank you!

Hello Navneet,

I have checked you website and saw the problem with the mobile menu. This kind of issue does not come from our tag div booster because this type of plugin is tested with our theme and works fine. I suspect this problem that comes rather from your untested plugins which you are using to your website. These plugins interact with tag div booster and our theme and could cause a lot of errors. To avoid this case, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

Hi

I am not sure what could cause the difference between the post views and 7 day count post views so if you have any specific details which might help please share it here so we can duplicate the situation on our side and inspect it closer.
Meanwhile try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer and WP Super Cache, clear the cache memory then test the site again. Also you can view a post in browser a fee times then check how both counters are incremented.

Regarding the current implementation for this feature there is a miss-configuration as it display posts from all time not only post from last 7 days. This is on our list and theme’s developers will consider changing the actual implementation in shortest time possible. This may take some time because we have a long implementation list and we take them one by one.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,
This issue is dues to the fact that your site’s body tag does not get the theme classes anymore. Please revert your modification or remove the plugin that causes this and your background will display again.
example:
default: http://screencast.com/t/Qnc6MyYiH
your site: http://screencast.com/t/Qnc6MyYiH
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and check again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Hello Timo,

If you want to add blocks content underneath of the comment section for each post, you can do that if you are using do_shortcode method. First of all, you have to get the block shortcode from Visual Composer, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/0q9H5cbW -> http://screencast.com/t/Ei4AYqlilpc Please notice that you have to introduce the code for each single template is used by you.

The code is ->

<?php echo do_shortcode('[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_13][/vc_column][/vc_row]');?>

The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/xn9hS5s9

Hope this helps!

Hello,
Unfortunately the sidebar cannot be aligned to your content because they are dynamic elements. The contend gets changed in so many ways that an alignment between the 2 is impossible. You can chose from a large amount of blocks and you can chose the excerpt length which also takes up space. And to top it off, the sidebar can be sticky so the content will scroll with the page. You cannot have it aligned as you showed in the screenshots. Sorry. The same applies to the categories. The theme was not designed to have the sidebars align to the content in any way. You will have to do that from the content if this is what you wish. You can try to have the same block in the page and sidebar so it can have the same amount of space between the articles and use visual composer separator if it helps.
Thank you!

Hi,

We have fixed this fb social counter issue in latest theme version, V 2.3.5 and latest version of the social counter plugin, so please make sure you use the latest version of the plugin, V 3.1 and that you configure the fb counter like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ Also you have to use the lates version of Visual Composer included in theme path, V 4.9.2: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
You can make sure you use the latest version of the plugin by removing it then install it form theme’s > plugins section: http://screencast.com/t/W0nHgyA1US and for the theme log into your themeforest account then go the downloads section, you find the latest theme version there, download it and update it using the update guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thanks!

Hi,
Unfortunately it will not work like that. The easiest wqay to do it is to use a visual composer block instead. Create your block on a dummy page and set the sorting option you want to it. Then get the shortcode and implement it like so by replacing the array and the query _post function http://screencast.com/t/EO4kUS1j7
Thank you!

Hello ldquocbinh,

In order to achieve best results, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. After you have done this, please consult the guide below and then check your social counter and see how it works.

1) Please make sure you have the latest theme version: 6.6.5. If not, you need to follow this guide to update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

2) Having the latest version of the theme is not enough if you do not update the social counter as well. You need to remove the current version you use: http://screencast.com/t/4jvRwNzK and then install the version of the plugin that comes with the 6.6.5 theme: http://screencast.com/t/9AKKURjTjX
You can recognize if you have the correct version of the plugin when you see the new app key settings: http://screencast.com/t/CIXxklBanNl If you do not have these settings in your social counter it means you do not have the correct version.

3)You need to follow this guide to get the requirements from facebook:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Please keep in mind that the social counter is not a live count. It will update once every few hours.

Once you followed all the above steps properly and made sure you have not missed anything, (and the social counter still does not work), then you can send an email to contact@tagdiv.com with your login information so we can further inspect the issue. Also, please provide the link of this topic so we can know who you are and what the issue is.

Hope this helps!

Hi,
The ad will show in the file you place the code from the topic in. That topic showed how to ad custom ads in posts. On pages, you do not need to edit the theme files as there is an adbox element from visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/gyvcnqN1smDm You can use this as every other element and position it to your preference.
Thank you!

Hello Bogan, I have tried to use the youtube video playlist in the visual composer component on newspaper 6
When I add the videos as directed by the instructions, no videos show.
I emailed support for visual composer and this was their response. Can you help me as far as is this a newspaper component?
Thanks in advance,
Sam

The “Youtube video playlist” is not our standard element. It is most likely added by your theme author to enhance the theme functionality or is coming from a third party add-on. You can check our standard elements/features by creating an online demo here: http://vcpreview.com/
I would suggest you to get in touch with the respective author so he can guide you with the same. Kindly check.

Thank you,

Even if I set visual composer blocks side by side they don’t show up side by side, they show up below each other.
No matter what type of blocks I use they show up below each other rather than side by side.

In visual editor there is space with sidebar border which is making my writing space small. I want to remove that space. I know it is because of my settings where I have chosen right sidebar, but in visual editor I don’t want to show it.
In my child theme’s css, I have tried this but not working –

html .mceContentBody {
width: 100% !important;
}

I am using latest version of Newspaper. Please suggest.
