Hi, I am in the process of setting up my site using this theme. Unfortuanately I find the tagdiv composer very difficult to use so I have uploaded the visual composer plugin and deactivated the tagdiv composer.
All is well in creating pages until I save them and then I receive errors and an overlay message about disabling the tagdiv composer – see below. My understanding is that using Visual Composer limits some options but is otherwise okay to use. Could you please advise wbout how these errors can be fixed?

I made fresh purchased, but when i try to activate it gives error:
Envato API is down, please try again later or use the manual registration.
Also, Visual Composer plugins needed to be activated…
When I use Visual Composer all I get is text in all the sections. When I switch to TAG Composer I get the error “Error at rows: 12(models) : 1(dom). The model does not match the content”
I did a clean install on a subdomain. Brand new install. System Status check out ok. I installed the js_composer zip file. All the other Plug Ins installed automatically with the Newspaper install.
So, in the Dashboard everything comes up text no matter what I try and TAG Composer crashes.
I tried to use the Cloud Templates and that crashed.

Yes there is a way but it need to be done manual and it takes a lot of time.

Try to not repeat the ads in the post with this method and use proper width and height for image .

You can use Visual Composer or tagDiv Composer, but do not use both composers simultaneously on the same page.
But I recommend you to take a look on tagDiv Composer ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ ) and try it, is more easy to build pages, and it’s in real time because you will edit directly on the front page.

This is my first time using Newspaper theme – and I am very used to working on Visual Composer. Is it not possible to use a demo (Classic Blog) and edit it using Visual Composer? Do I have to use the tagDiv composer if I am using a demo? Please advise.

1. I’ve designed a page in tagDiv editor and I want to use this page design multiple times in different cases. But there is no option for saving this page design as a template like Visual Composer. How can we duplicate pages or save WHOLE PAGE as a template?

Everytime I use the footer page the site crashes. I then have to get into ftp disable the theme, and td visual composer.
I then re enable the theme, remove the footer page and then re enable td visual composer. My site went down four times today trying to do this. THere seems to be a bug somewhere.
Also with the footer page everything gets disabled such as the footer menu etc. Not sure if its suppose to be like that but please take a look at this.
You could do that in the page itself. The tagDiv composer or Visual composer (depending on which one you use) have options to set a border around elements

Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. Maybe your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools. Please disable all plugins except visual composer or TD Composer, remove all of unknown Ad Code, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.

1. You can use Visual composer, or the tagDiv composer. We recommend the tagDiv composer however. Our front-end builder has a considerable amount of options, elements, multi-purpose features etc.
Also in combination with the Cloud library plugin it can be used to design/import beautiful templates (for post pages, category pages etc)

2. Could be the most common mistake, maybe you are not uploading the image in full size. For example as a footer background

I am currently prepping a music site to go live on aback up URL and would then transfer the database to the correct URL. The theme is actually amazing. Best investment ever. The website is practically done, with a few minor changes that I still need to do. So I have a few questions:
1) Can I use Visual Composer to create my own Contact Page?
2) Whenever I add a picture to the packground (be it in the footer or website body) it pixelates, even if the image is of high quality. I have tried different formats and just looks terrible to be honest.
3) When will you introduce Social Login to login or subscribe or login to comment on a blog? Newspaper does have the social share, but to comment you either have to login and register first. We all know that the quicker comments could be given or decisions be made the more profitable your website would be. Love the mobile login feature or normal desktop, but I do think its time to intro and All-In-One type plugin feature for the theme?
This is a massive feature at the moment to login or comment with a preferred social platform’s details.

Since newspaper 8, we added this message as big grids need to be on their own full column layout. You do this in the tagdiv composer or visual composer (depending on the plugin used) by making the row with the grid full and not have a sidebar besides the big grid. The big grids were never supposed to show a sidebar next to them.

The theme can be used with WPBakery, no problem about that. We will still provide this page builder in the theme package. Updates for it will be included along theme updates (when available).
Currently the latest version of WPBakery is included in the theme package, version 5.5.2.
For users who purchase the plugin we recommend that they don’t update the plugin until we get a chance to test the new version with the theme, then we will include it in the package

You cannot make or edit posts with tagdiv composer. It only works with pages. You can use wp bakery visual composer and disable tagdiv if you want to create posts using a page builder.

You could do that, but there could be problems. We don’t recommend Visual composer for posts, however some users still do this. You could give it a try if this is required for you, see if there are problems.
Why not use tagDiv composer for both? With the cloud library plugin you can now create post templates. You can have as many as you want and apply them to the posts you want

I believe you mean Visual composer (now WPBakery page builder). The front-end capability of this composer is disabled in our theme, this has always been the case. There could be problems using the WPBakery front-end builder with the theme, or to create posts

Having both WPBakery and the tagDiv composer active could create problems in some cases.
However 500 errors can be caused by insufficient resources, mainly WP-memory. For most users a value of 256M would be enough

Maybe I am misunderstanding. The bottom line is that you have to use the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin to be able to import post templates.
This is the only way to see the breadcrumbs as an element. With Visual composer this is not possible.

We’re running into a lot of 504 errors (over 30,000 since last night), and wpengine support determined the cause to be a conflict with the tagdiv plugin suite (including the tagdiv composer, which we used to build our site’s homepage) and the theme itself.
According to wpengine support, we’re not the only newspaper theme users to be facing this issue. Their suggestion was to disable all tagdiv plugins, but seeing as how we rely on the visual composer in particular for our site’s landing page, that’s really not optimal.
We had to go into our database and drop the table “td_011” as well. There seem to be a lot of issues with autoloading in relation to these errors.
Wanted to ask what’s going on and make sure you all are aware of this.
