I upgraded to v3.7 and I followed your guide how to deinstaller Visual Composer (deleting the /wpbakery directory).
The strange thing is that there is no hint in the backend that I should install the Visual Composer as a plugin. Even more strange: although the VC files are deleted I can still use the old Visual Composer in the articles.
How can I fix it?
Why I wanted to upgrade is because the wordpress visual editor is not working any more.

We haven’t changed anything about the require plugin from V2 to v3. The GIF plugin is not included in v3.
About the Visual Composer the problem is a little complicated, because we need to deliver our custom and modified Visual Composer as a plugin, we still investigate this.

this pre-supposes that the user knows how to actually find the plugin to begin with. So, might be worth noting WHERE that actually is in the zip package.
Actually, a “recommended” and “included” plugins list might be useful, especially since, for example, for those of us who upgraded from v2 to v3 — what of those original plugins are still needed? Is the animated GIF plugin still needed? It’s not included with v3, so not sure?
This might be also useful since you’re now going to break out the visual composer as plugin.

you can create some custom ones but those custom can be used only on sidebars.

Hello,
I hope you’re having a great day. I would like to know if there is a way to use the visual editor to customize the layout of all the different pages provided in the Theme Panel.
As of now, we can customize the sidebar only, but I’d like to know if there is a way to ad a Tagdiv Ad box at the bottom of the pages, or do any other type of customization using the visual editor.

I have also seen on my install that when I use the visual composer and try to edit content that the visual tab shows no content. I can only see content when I view in text. If I switch to classic I can see both visual and text but cant see the shortcodes drop down in the menu bar?
Also with the new font setup I have lost the ability to customise the font <h> settings which was useful in the old setup. Can this be added back in?

The only work around I have so far used is to click on the Text tab. Right now having to create new content with the text tab and not the visual tab.

For block works only if you use the full layout in visual composer and use the Default template with sidebar that force the layout on 2 columns.
A site in use, installed the new theme, fantastic, I already have and use the theme Magazinly, congratulations.
I installed the plugin v.4.1.4 Slide Revolution.
Create New Template Slider , new slide created, configured to show only the last 5 post, all categories, sorted by date. Do not show anything, only the background.
Even in the configuration creating the slide Preview (is empty) button in the slide list (also empty), only “NO SLIDES FOUND, PLEASE ADD SOME SLIDES”.
I’ve tried creating new slide only for specific posts and nothing (is empty).
Stating: After creating the slide-revolution, a page (start) with visual composer, insert the slider revolution and use the same name created slide, but also on that page is all empty, only “NO SLIDES FOUND, PLEASE ADD SOME SLIDES “.

That is used to build the layout on the grid.
As you know the grid work like:
<div class="wpb_row">
<div class="span6"></div>
<div class="span6"></div>
</div>This will create a row with 2 columns.
This $buffy .= $td_block_layout->open_row(); will open a row, will echo: <div class="wpb_row">
This: $buffy .= $td_block_layout->close_row(); will close the row, will echo a </div>
This $buffy .= $td_block_layout->open6(); will open a span6 and $buffy .= $td_block_layout->close6(); will close it.
Is a little tricky.

I think you are referring to the Big Slide.
the Big slide can only be used in the full length of the page.
try using the simple slide (with only one picture appearing).
you have to use the simple slide from Visual composer.

The default template is used only if you want to achieve a default WordPress page (content + sidebar) the other templates are built by use to make custom pages with sidebar or without, with post loop + pagination, as you can see in the documentation of the templates https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates/
You have used before the Visual composer(page builder) You can use it to build the page layout and to add content blocks.

Hi Radu! Module 1 plays videos fine no problem… I just want to have a block that uses Module 1… You have described many times that you can make custom blocks… Let me ask a simpler question…
If I make a Custom Block, how do I get it to show up in Visual Composer?
I’d like to have a featured video on the front page that is always the newest video. I’d like it to actually SHOW the YouTube video so the user can click on the video immediately without having to go to the individual post.
I tried creating block0 and just replacing everything with module1 but my block doesn’t show up in visual composer.
Am I on the right track for how to do this? I’m basically just trying to turn module 1 into a functioning block.

I know I can use plugins But if I use plugin for widget that plugin’s Widget wont be shown in Visual Composer.
