Please note that the theme is to be used only with the Visual composer version provided with the theme. Updates for this plugin are provided in the theme package after they are tested.
The Visual composer addons were not tested for compatibility. They may not work properly with this theme, and they may work with others. Not all themes are the same.
You could test while having all your other plugins except Visual composer and these addons, maybe something else is the problem. If you have both the tagDiv composer and Visual composer active, deactivate the tagDiv composer.
The Visual composer version included with the theme already has the option to customize the row background, and it is working properly.

I am subscribing to this thread because I am having the same problem on womensgolf.com. I followed all instructions in https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/. Built a new page from scratch in tagdiv composer. saved successfully and previewed fine. but all rows/blocks had disappeared when I reopened the page in tagdiv composer. My install of visual composer is Version 5.1 but have not opened or edited the page in visual composer.
Also deactivated all non approved plugins.

“The mobile theme path couldn’t be set. Please check if you already have another mobile theme plugin active and disable it (ex. Jetpack Mobile Theme or similar). If you use a cache plugin clear it before checking the results.”
This is all that displays on my site with the mobile plugin installed on a mobile phone – desktop version displays normally. I do not have another mobile plugin active or have Jetpack. I am on wpengine so I do not have a cache plugin either. I have struggled to get this to work on my site since inception.
I have also struggled with slow page speed scores. I have deleted quite a few plugins. I even rebuilt all of my pages and removed Visual Composer using the tag Div composer. All of that work I put in increased page speed and yslow by 2 points – really disappointed with that.
I have also never been able to get the speed booster plugin to work. It has a conflict with every plugin. I will delete the offending plugin and it will display another one.
I disabled the plugin for now, but if anyone has any suggestions to how I can get the mobile theme working I would really appreciate it.

Yes, you should wait for the official release of the new Visual composer version in the theme package. The new plugin version will be tested and it will work properly with the theme.
Updating before the new plugin update is supported may cause problems, like the one you experienced.

Please notice that you have to use only the Visual Composer version which comes bundled with our theme packet and not another version of it, right? This plugin was tested with our theme and should work as expected with it. To be sure that you are using the right plugin version, you should download the new theme version from theme forest and make a new fresh install via FTP, clear all the caches and check the results.

The issue can occur if get_row_css_class or add_shortcode_param was used in the theme. These functions were deprecated in past and your theme is still using it. You can contact the theme author to get rid of these from the theme so that the issue will be fixed at your end.

I really love your work. I have Newspaper template and everything is perfect. I noticed now you have new Demos. ARt Creet is breathtaking. I would like to install Art Creek demo to my template. I would like to ask it is necessary to haveTagDiv Composer because I have problem with conflicting with Visual Composer. I would like use them both but it isnot functional. I build my site on visual composer and I cant afford to turn off. I need visual Compsoer activated. Please can you give me tip. It is possbbile to instal demo Art Creek without TagDiv Composer?
And I would like to save my current template seting before instaling demo. Can you give me tip how to do it?

You should not use any p[age builder to build posts. Use only the tiny mce editor like so:

If ypou want to use opur own page builder, please disable the visual composer plugin and re-create any pages built with it and remove any visual composer shortcodes from your posts.

The modal image should work properly, if you have followed the steps accordingly. Please provide a link to your website, so we can inspect the issue.
You could use Visual composer on posts if it is absolutely necessary, though it is not recommended. The page builder should be used only on pages.
There is no guide for this that I could provide you, since it is not recommended officially.

The tagdiv composer as well as visual composer in our theme is meant to be used exclusively and only on pages not posts. The tagdiv composer does not have any at all setting that can allow it to work on posts. Posts are created using the tiny mce editor, not a page builder which is destined for pages.
You can create posts very very easy and stylish without any page builder. Using a page builder on posts is not recommended. Using 2 page builders at the same time is not recommended.

At the moment, the TD Composer is not compatible with Newsmag theme but in the near future will be released a new theme version and the TD Composer will be available with Newsmag. Notice that we do not recommend using untested plugins because all of these can break the theme, sorry! Notice that the Visual Composer is fully tested with the theme and should work as expected.

I have watched a lot of the basic video tutorials on YouTube and they seem to be geared towards creating pages from posts and not for creating posts from scratch. Perhaps you could direct me to some really basic tutorials (really basic!) where I can see how to use the tagDiv composer on posts? It seems to be automatically enabled for pages which is fine as I have already used it on the homepage but most of the content are posts.
I am not sure why Visual Composer came with the Newspaper theme if I am not supposed to use it or if it doesn’t work? Just to be clear, I want to create the posts. Text, image, text, image etc. If that is something that tagDiv composer does then I am very happy to learn it.

Please ensure that you are using the latest theme version installed via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Also, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Ensure that you are using only our tested plugins because if you are using some untested plugins, these might interact with the theme core files and causes some unknown issues. Try to remove all of them, clear all the caches and check the results. As I see it, you use visual composer on posts. The image issue happens because you use visual composer on posts and now have updated the theme and have both plugins active. Please only use one page builder and not both at the same time. The tagdiv composer plugin activates automatically in newspaper 8 so please disable it if you do not want to use it.

Please do not use both page builders. The pages previously built with visual composer will have to be re-built using the tagdiv composer. You cannot edit a page built with one page builder using the other one as it will create issues.

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause some unknown issues. Try to disable all of them and leave just only of our tested plugins and check the results. Do you are simultaneously using the page builders? I just bought the Newspaper theme. Was very impressed with all the demos and training etc. So I switched to Newspaper, activated it in WordPress. Then I realised that all my posts were gone because BeTheme’s Muffin Builder and Visual Composer aren’t even slightly compatible. No problem, I have backups, I can rebuild the posts.
So I install a demo from the list and am impressed with the interface and start modelling the front page of the site using the extremely easy drag and drop. I didn’t change any settings or add any code..
Now my site won’t load.. I would include a screen shot but it is just a completely blank page in Firefox and in Edge I get ‘HTTP 500 error, That’s odd… the website can’t display this page’. I haven’t tried chrome or anything else but I am guessing the story will be the same.

I did not realize that my tone was so harsh. Sorry for that. I did know that no more updates were released, but i need some of the new things in that, and just anxious wish to know how the process takes place.
As for the tag div composer, i already tested it, and used it on a couple of pages. But i use Visual Composer to integrate with another paid plugin (toolset), and for that layouts they’re got only integration with visual composer.
Upgraded from 7.4 to 8.
Tried out two of the demos, but what am i missing? I watched the video, read the docs, but all it changed (visually at least) was colours, menus and fonts. how do i get the actual page layouts complete with all the blocks used in the demo? No additional pages have been created and it hasn’t applied any of that layout to my own pages, just made them corrupt and look ridiculous.
Uninstalling hasn’t worked at all well, it is all over the shop and even after a few hours tweaking it still looks like an amateurish development of a freeby theme.
I’ve had to put it in maintenance mode so hoping for some quick answers.
I’m using an outdated Newspaper version right now, just haven’t gotten around to updating it ’cause I’ve made changes to the core files and need to back them up, etc. I’m also using an old Visual Composer — but I’d like to keep it that way because I’m using the now deprecated Tabs feature (which I want to keep). Am I at risk for losing the Tabs feature if I update Newspaper? Thanks.
