Hello Chris217,

Please notice that Visual Composer has a lot of Add-on but none of them are not tested with our theme, sorry! Also, if you want to have access to them you should buy them because our version of Visual Composer does not contain these, sorry! Our Visual Composer is a special plugin which has integrate and adapt with our theme and also, it is no required to pay for it because it will come bundled with our theme packet. If you want to display any levels in our theme and also, if you want to install any others untested plugins to develop your project and if you will get any errors in the theme, notice that we cannot help you in this case because we cannot provide support for untested plugins.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Zuzana,

In the past, that page has been creating with Visual Composer and now do you want to edit it with TD Composer? Please notice that we do not recommend doing this thing and also, the plugin will not work as expected. Please consult the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ regarding on what you should make the transitions between these page builders and then, for more information about how you can use our Page Builder, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Hello,

In the current version we have introduced our own page builder which will not work along side visual composer. Please do not use both page builders at the same time. Please choose one or the other. If you choose the tagdiv composer (recommended choice) you will have to re-create your pages in the tagdiv composer. that means creating a new page and adding new elements to it, not editing your old pages.
You can use this guide to learn how to use the page builder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
If you want to use visual composer, keep in mind we do not plan to add any new elements to it. Any future updates and development will be based on the tagdiv composer. Visual composer will still get updates but it will not receive any new element.

Thank you!

Hello arolee,

You could try to manually upload the tagDiv Composer editor in the plugins folder. Simply unzip the plugin and upload it to the plugins folder in your WordPress installation by FTP. You can find more useful related information on this topic ->>

Hope this helps!

I’am not sure, it seems since I’ve updated my WordPress to newest version (or because of any other reason) my visual composer doesn’t work any more. I mean backend editor? So I cannot edit pages. It looks like it is trying to load up content but without result.I can still operate classic mode. Plugins looks updated. Any suggestions, please? best JP

Hello dizajn,

Do you are using the Visual Composer for posts? Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response. Also, provide some useful screenshots with your problem so I can quickly identify it.

Hello sublimedjs2296,

First of all, I will thank you for your interests in our theme. If you like our demo, notice that you can import the demo layout you want from our demo list, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Please notice that the fist element from our homepage is Big Grid 1 and if you want to add something like this, you should do it from Visual Composer because there you will find a big list with our blocks, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-block-settings-tutorial/

Hello,

How did you update visual composer. Please only use a version released by us, and not from the plugin author. We need to test each version and make the proper adjustments first. Also, please note that in the current version we introduces our own page builder in the package and the plugin installs itself. if you want to use our page builder, please disable visual composer if not please disable the tagdiv composer. Do not use both at the same time. You can fond more info on the tagdiv composer here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Thanks

Hi there,

it seems as if there is some confusion among the theme users concerning Visual Composer. Most of the links given by your support team are leading to 404 pages.

I understood that we can use it but don’t have to buy license.

But how can I manage addons for vc? I need an add-on for making nice tables.

But – I bought an add-on for vc for nice recipes and when I install it I am asked which license I do have.

Am I right that I cannot buy extensions and get it running without extra buying the visual composer??

Regards, Chris

You can still use visual composer; TD Composer is a new “just out of beta” alternative which is more compact, more secure, uses much less system resources, and won’t crash servers like VC does. Works great for us, in Chrome, but since it’s ajax based it does take a little finesse to use, just like VC has learning curve.

For a brand new product built specifically for these themes, it’s pretty amazing stuff.

(( I don’t work here. ))

Hi

Is there another way to build pages besides TagDiv – as it is one of the worst page builders out there. It makes editing & building pages extremely slow. It is not fully compatible with Chrome and it has serious bugs. You also don’t have any proper documentation on it (besides a 3min video)!

The sidebar for editing the page also isn’t wide enough so it’s impossible to see what you’re editing half the time!

Please let me know if there are any other alternatives or if I can still use Visual Composer.

Thanks

Hello,

1) Please clear all caching including a cdn server and contact your host and have them disable any hosting side cache.
2) Please provide a link to your site sop I can inspect the logo issue.
3) Unfortunately if you use the speedbooster plugin this can be an effect of it. Or any other tool that minifies css or moves the css load to the footer. There is no way around it. Either it loads first and you do not see the rewrites, or it loads last providing a faster loading speed for your site but you can see the rewrites happen. Css only provides a compromise for speed vs visuals. Unfortunately you cannot have both.

Thanks

Hello utzgurx,

I mean that our TD Composer is required, in the sense that in the future, all of the features will be developed on our page builder which will not work as properly with Visual Composer. You can further use Visual Composer but you have to take this into account. Also, for more information about transition between these two plugins, please consult the following documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

What means “our page builder is a required plugin”?

Must I have it activated? Because now I have it disabled and everything is fine.

I prefer Visual Composer because it allows to choose the weigh of the image and its a feature that I need in all my sites and I didn’t find it in your TD composer.

Hello utzgurux,

If your website is anchored in Visual Composer, you will have to further use the Visual Composer plugin, sorry! Notice that our page builder is a required plugin and the transitions between these two pages builders can be done only on the manually way, sorry! For more information about transition between these two-page builders, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
From now on, the TD Composer plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder.

Thanks for your understanding!

I keep trying things in order to have more info to tell you and solve this issue faster.

I have tried to add an image without using Backend Editor, just adding an object trough wordpress editor and it’s working all fine.

All of this start happens when I updated from 7.8 to 8 version, and it happened to all my sites (I use Newspaper in all of them), so must be something wrong with that we can fix, because obviously is the same problem and due to the upgrading to v8.

Visual composer, WordPress, and all other plugins are up to date also.

Sorry, but please notice that you have not buy any license of Visual Composer because this plugin has a license when you buy our theme, sorry! All the required information about how you can install the VC, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Other information you can find at the addresses provided by Edward above.
Thanks, @Edward.

Hi,

If you are referring to the Visual composer column settings regarding responsive options, the tagDiv composer does not have those options at the moment. Maybe this capability could be added in future theme updates, but I could not say for sure if or when this will happen. I could not recommend any plugins that you could use to achieve this, and that have options like this.

Thanks

How to update Visual Composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

But keep in mind: Developers strongly recommend you to use tagDiv Composer with Newspaper.
Important Note: Do not use both page builders on the same page!

I can select the height, but the width is full screen, even if I select for example 100×100 it shows full widht. I have to use TadDivComposer (blue second button on the top of editing pages) to change the height, because using visual composer al always there is no way to change it, simply it doesn’t work.

Thanks

Hello thoseconspiracyguys,

Notice that our page builder is a required plugin and the transitions between these two pages builders can be done only on the manually way, sorry! I have updated to Newspaper 8 and am in the process of editing all the pages on my site with the TD Composer. A little extra unexpected work but no big deal. The problem I have is with all my posts, they are all ruined. I have extra content like podcast episode players, t-shirt images and slideshows, revolution slider elements, image gallerys, extra TD-blocks for other posts and categories; and none of these can be customised using Visual Composer because anything that is in the main post is HIDDEN by the sidebar! The main content of the post sits under the sidebar and is all measured incorrectly! I have tried removing the sidebar completely and you can see the entire post but this is obviously not an option! Surely you guys can add this functionality to the theme? The VC elements still work, they are just measured incorrectly on the page! If I could reduce the main content by 30% it would probably fit! Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi, how are you?

The WP-Admin panels are not working properly. Here are some points to highlight as to get this solved as briefly

Pages
Under the Page Settings you will see the code is broken as setting options are messed: https://snag.gy/S07VXe.jpg and this break will also appear in several other places such as with the Visual Composer: https://snag.gy/wnWIqz.jpg

Posts
Under post settings: https://snag.gy/ZenXO4.jpg you will see how the setting’s box breakes
It also breaks where the post’s Style options, category selector, or the sidebar position, and so on: https://snag.gy/60uK3l.jpg

And most importantly, the Theme Panel is gone: https://snag.gy/fvo0ar.jpg – it’s completely broken.

The interesting fact is that from the 3 administrators, this break of code only happens in two users. Do we solve this issue by updating to Newspaper 8? What about our edits, will we lose all changes we’ve made to files such as Custom Ad Boxes getting created? The colors of the menus/submenus, images, and/or their formats?

Thank you,

Catalin

Hello arolee,

Check your list with installed plugins and check if the Visual Composer or TD Composer is enabled. You will bring these shortcodes because one of these is not active. we recommend using the TD Composer. For more information about this plugin, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
