So yesterday I decided to improve my site’s speed, I would start using a CDN (content delivery network). But as soon as I started using it, the social icons in the top menu bar and in the footer aren’t showing up. They look like little hollow squares and Chinese characters now. It happened the very moment I setup my CDN, but I assumed it was growing pains or something and would iron itself out by morning. Unfortunately, that’s not been the case.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

You can access my website here to see what I mean.

Hello,
The guide on how to make your website faster does a pretty good job of explaining the process. If you cannot follow along on all of the steps, unfortunately you will have to get someone to help you in this matter. We can only guide you in the right direction but you are the one that has to do the adjustments.
Please try to disable your plugins as well as speedbooster has a compatibility list built-in that makes it deactivate if your plugins are not compatible. You should definitely contact your hosting provider for the gzip compression.
Please follow every step of the tutorial closely and check your modification after every step to see if there is any improvement in pagespeed.
Thank you!

I changed 2 hosting providers, both because site was slow (url: visoko.co.ba). But, now i am on third hosting on this package:

https://www.menkisys.de/cloudserver/homepage-shop-ssl-website

and again have problems. I dont have any more sites on this server, only this Visoko.co.ba. Owner of server said to me that site uses too much RAM at some times, and server blocks and site becomes not responsive.

can this be because of theme or wordpress? I found this on post about page speed:

“If you have a dedicated server / VPS:

make sure that you have APC installed or another ‘op cache’ for php. This will reduce your server response time.We have receive some reports that the accelerator has some problems in some specific configurations with our theme and Nginx.”

Try not to use speed booster, they conflict with a lot of plugins and themes. Tweak your cache instead, for speeding up the website.

Hi,

I have checked into this and it seems that chrome on iOS has this issue. It seems it renders a bit slow and that is why the background is visible. It only happens if you scroll fast enough so chrome cannot keep up the pace. (It also happens on our live demo but not so visible as on your website as you have more elements on your webpage and it is heavier on chrome’s renderer) There is a way you can diminish this effect, if you deactivate the smooth scroll from the theme panel :http://screencast.com/t/N9MdKGl1yt
You can also try to disable/enable the lazyload animation as well to see if it has any effect on rendering speed: http://screencast.com/t/9SnvsJFM
Another thing you can do is to increase your page loading speed: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.comics2film.com%2F&tab=mobile
You can follow this guide to see how you can have a better loading time:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/faster/

I hope this helps.
Thank you!

Hello,
I have checked your website on multiple platforms and I have to say, there are very strange things I found. Google returns a pagespeed of 100/100 . That is a bit exaggerated. When checking with gtmetrix you get 30% https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.hafawo.at/OdbrBvsV and on w3c validator: https://validator.w3.org/mobile/check?task=2016021708382976.mobile1&docAddr=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hafawo.at%2F
Google seems to be the only one that cannot test your site properly. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear your cache and reset cdn if you use it. Then check with these tools again. There may be some plugin conflict at work here.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Hello,

I encountered problem with login-form modal not showing when user tries to register under post to comment. Please see example:
1. visit post on website e.g. http://tlustekoty.pl/jak-inwestowac-w-rope-naftowa-czesc-i/
2. Try to comment – click link “Zaloguj się, aby dodać komentarz”: (http://tlustekoty.pl/jak-inwestowac-w-rope-naftowa-czesc-i/#login-form)
3. Modal background appear (with x to close it), but no login/registration form appears.

Standard registration/login link works fine.

Website uses tagDiv speed booster.
This has been checked against Akismet/Wordfence influence – modal still doesn’t appear when those plugins are deactivated.

Could you please help?

Best regards,
MR

Hello,
I bought the Newspaper theme, my website hosted on a VPS service, but it’s very low speed, I’ve check all vps configuration, ther’re some change to optimize the theme to improve the speed?

Bogdan B.

Hello,
This is because of the css getting rewritten. I suspect you use a child theme or you have some code in your custom css box that affects the theme color. Css works in cascades and it will load every phase of the code before coming to it’s final form. If the code gets rewritten sometimes you can see this cascade loading as you do on your website. Speedbooster also does this as it moves css render blocks to the footer so the modifications you make will be loaded after the style.css. The solution for this is to make the change directly in style.css in the main theme and change the accent color there. This way, that will be the first color to load.
(not a bug, but circumstance)
I hope this helps.
Thank you!

My test page using newspaper demo template shows terribly slow speed on google page speed test. I have read https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and done a few things but it doesn’t really seem to help. my question is, which steps out of total six shown on the above link are essential (I mean most crucial) to increase the speed? (and don’t say all are essential :-)). FYI, I already have changed our website to a better/faster hosting plan.

Hi

The ids are a bit different then the name of the css file for a specific plugin or for the theme. In order to work you need to use this ids as it’s indicated in our documentation, and also make sure that the Speed Booster plugin is active.
For more details about page-speed and Speed Booster usage please check this topics: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-questions/https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/slow-website-with-newsmag-theme/

Thanks!

Hello

I have put the Custom CSS below this piece of code in style.css and it works. But, when I have installed Speed Booster many things on the website have changed. The issue that I mentioned before still happens and many other things like some blocks out of place, footer and breadcrumbs don´t fix correctly.

I have to say that I have removed the piece of code mentioned on tutorials (step 5.1), I don´t know if I have to do any other thing. I have seen on tutorial that there is a 5.2 step, which I haven´t done. Could be that the problem?

Thanks

Hello praxs4u,

Please notice that you have to make a website run faster you will need to have at least basic knowledge not necessarily ‘tech savvy’.

You will need to follow this tutorial on page speed:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Gzip compression needs to be active and also read about how you can compress the images. I suggest to getting someone to help you if you cannot manage.
Also please make sure that Speed Booster is active, check System Status for this – http://screencast.com/t/LDPniI0Qpv The plugin is tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you have others active it will be automatically disabled.
In order to use the TagDiv speed booster with all plugins, you will need to remove this code – http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the message!

Hi My Website http://www.examsleague.com Page Speed Score is 70 only. Kindly Help me With this. i use wp Super Cache Plugin + Speed Booster Plugin … Check System Status Here : http://i.imgur.com/D92oIDP.png?1

Hi there!

the theme seems to be well implemented but the website itself needs some attention I think. WP Super Cache is not correctly configured, gzip compression is “crashing” the access to your website with incorrect or unsupported compression. Also, I don’t think Speed Booster Pack Plugin is helping you. In fact I think it’s making it worse by trying too hard to force js defer and scripts/css to header/footer and halting the site.

Hope this helps and sets you in the right track, cheers!
