Hello,
When I try to edit and save an existing or new page, I get the following error:
Invalid data Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)
My site is using WPML. The error happens only in one language (Russian) which previousely was the main language of the site. Now I changed the main language to be English and also I added Turkish.
Looks like after that I cannot save the page using TagDiv Composer.
I don’t know if this issue belongs to WPML or TagDiv. Who shall I contact and how to investigate the issue?
See the video for details:

We have installed WPML on our site, implementing translations from Italian (original language) to English.
NewsMag is certified with WPML, however the “subtitle” field, even if translated, always reverts to the original language on saving. Also, the string “td-post-sub-title” does not result in any string translations.
Furthermore, some categories, despite being translated, continue to be displayed on the homepage only in the original language.
WPML support believes this is an issue to be resolved on the theme side.
Can you please help us out?
Thanks!
Hi,
Taxonomies, you need to create new taxonomies. The featured image can’t be changed.
Also, please make sure that the company is published.
No, but some users use this plugin. We don’t have documentation for loco translate, only for wpml -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Thank you!
Hello!
We recommend WPML plugin for translations: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Thank you!
Hello,
You can translate them using WPML -> https://prnt.sc/nlipHm_Zz8P2
-> https://prnt.sc/nbNCzQx4j8bX -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
You need to have the language switcher.
Thank you!
Hello everyone, I set up a website with newspaper 12 and installed wpml for translation.
Everything works so far, but I’m having problems with the cloud templates. I can’t translate these and can’t add header menus and so on.
I tried to follow the following instructions, but things are different with the cloud templates: https://tagdiv.com/wpml-newspaper-theme-compatibility/
you can look here: https://gth.news
Can you help me?
greetings,
sebastian
Hello,
The mobile theme and amp plugins have different implementations compared to the theme.
Please try to use the GTranslate plugin.
Also, check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/translating-the-mobile-theme-with-wpml/
Thank you!
As I explained in my original message, I cannot translate it using WPML editor. If I follow your method I get this endless page: https://prnt.sc/7Rp-RN2ai6Y2. So this part of your recommendation did not work.
But I appreciate your support because your trick with duplication and the following change of the language worked! Now I finally have two working templates in both languages.
Thank you.
Hi,
You need to translate the English (original language) header for each language in part – https://i.imgur.com/CDmeHCf.png you should have them imported for each language the cloud template – https://i.imgur.com/4agmUtg.png
A much simpler and faster alternative is to duplicate the cloud template you want to use in another language, edit it and select the desired language – https://i.imgur.com/z1CqgBo.png (edit the name) – https://i.imgur.com/dPX8ROs.png – https://i.imgur.com/Lc81IgP.png This method needs to be used to translate all cloud templates.
The pages are created with tagDiv Composer which is a page builder, when WPML is used it cannot translate everything that was built with the page builder and must be edited for each language separately. Please open the page in the editor and click on translate – https://i.imgur.com/TXH6y1c.png
When you make the corrections, make sure you are on the page with the language you are editing, and if you use the cache, or object cache, please clear it.
Thank you!
Hello,
I am continuousely struggling with translation of headers at my site.
My development site is https://finpro.international
I cannot translate the header by sending it to translation queue because the header is base64 encoded https://prnt.sc/ItxR3ZDFz6up. While I was able to solve this for particular fields in other documents by adding them to XML configuration, with header this solution does not work. Because it does not indicate any specific attribute that is encoded. I tried to add manually base64 encoded attributes, but I failed because it started to throw other critical errors.
WPML support proposed to create a translation using WP editor. I could successfully create the translation document by this method. But when I switch the language to English in Cloud Templates section, the header template does not appear.
https://prnt.sc/xkbLQMxx_jiw
https://prnt.sc/6_WjMsIuteAQ
When I go back to WP Editor I see it as English Translation of Russian.
https://prnt.sc/ODyHqKfkCtKr
But from WP Editor I cannot edit it using TagDiv composer, because it is missing!
The supporter of WPML is trying to reproduce the issue with compatibility of WPML and Newspaper theme. And she is asking for your involvement, whether you can assist her to install and reproduce the issue in their sandbox. She asked me to recreate the issue, but I have no free license to be used in their sandbox. So she asked for your involvement. You can see the thread here:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cannot-see-header-and-footer-template/page/2/
Can you advice:
1) How to resolve the header translation issue with base64?
2) Can you provide them with development license for their sandbox: mellow-maraca.sandbox.otgs.work?
Thanks.
Hi,
You don’t have there a footer template; you can check in the trash. Maybe you delete it.
Also, if you use WPML, then maybe you don’t have a footer template for that language, which is why is not displayed in the cloud section.
You should have for each language cloud templates – https://i.imgur.com/4agmUtg.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/.

ok, I’ve imported.
When import of new footer was done an old footer was visible for me.
Screen 1 – https://prnt.sc/BTm4eW2xP4Hu
Screen 2 – https://prnt.sc/jtd0rfBJbXgM
I’ve got WPML with 2 languages
How to manually edit footer for each language?
Could you advise?
I hope, this is the last question :-))
When I disable the wpml plugin it show all CPT template: https://www.theubud.com/wp-content/uploads/Screenshot-2023-10-17-at-11.11.46-PM.png
Hi there, need your help

Check here: https://www.theubud.com/wp-content/uploads/Screenshot-2023-10-17-at-10.33.31-PM.png
Tempalte for: Reviews, Blogs, etc gone
Thank you,
I bought this plugin, and overall it seems pretty good.
Now I have a questions, how I can translate plugin native text which are in English in frontend to Latvian? Do you have any idea to avoid installing big multilingual plugins like a WPML and other. Literally I need translation just for sorting, filtering and maybe some other few words!?
WPML Multilingual CMS + WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency
I want to mention that I have added base64 to the XML configuration file as per below code. But it did not help. The same error appears with reference to the same tag and attribute (vc_raw_html: content:).
<tag>vc_raw_html</tag>
<attributes>
<attribute encoding="base64">content</attribute>
</attributes>
I read about how to correct it here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/page-builders/how-to-fix-encoding-of-fields/?utm_source=plugin&utm_medium=gui&utm_campaign=wpmltm
I am using Newspaper theme and WPML, which are promised to be compatible.
I was successfully using them at my other site, which is in production for more than one year.
But with another site I really face a lot of problems with the below error. I faced the same error before with templates. And I face it now with pages.
So, my question is who’s problem is that? WPML or Newspaper Theme? Or aren’t they compatible any more?
The description of the problem:
When I try to translate a page, it just stucks on the page https://e.ate.wpml.org/…
So, I am trying to add the page to the translation queue manually. And then I get the below enclosed error message.
Indeed, I see that WPML has some base64 encoded content. Is there any way to avoid it and save without base64 encoding? Is there anything I shall do to make the Newspaper Theme be compatible with WPML?
Please see this video for details:
https://www.loom.com/share/1a6c2bc0e5784c12b92bc6483230ca1e?sid=e9fe9b8a-fcab-4076-b20f-333c3613659e
But the time of errors seems to not coincide with my actions.
The full error text is the following:
WPML cannot send some of the content to translation
Some of the content that you selected for translation includes fields that are encoded. Translators will not be able to work on this kind of content, so we removed it from the job.
Наши контакты: There are base64 encoded fields in this document

To fix this problem, you need to tell WPML how these fields are encoded, so that WPML can decode them before sending for translation.
How to indicate to WPML that it needs to decode fields.
Hello,
You can create a different homepage for each language, and only the posts from that language will be displayed.
You can check those guides:

Hi,
This plugin is not tested with the theme. We recommend WPML. You should have for each language cloud templates – https://i.imgur.com/4agmUtg.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/.

Hello,
New instalaltion, i need it to support multiple languages starting with Arabic and English.
should i use the Default Pro + WPML or the DEfault RTL PRo?
Thank you,
Hello,
Some users use Polylang from their experience; it seems to work properly.
We recommend WPML plugin for translations: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Thank you!
Thanks. I emailed you this morning.
Btw it seems that the issue is caused by WPML and its latest upgrade, not the theme, since I have an error 500 on all the translated pages (not only in editing, in viewing too) and the logs show it comes from the plugin.
