Hi, why has it not been fixed yet??? Everytime I update the Newspaper theme and the plugins I find this issue again. Please, fix it!.
My website has some widgets which are shown or hidden using WPML, depending on the language of the current page, but there could be any other plugin out there that hides a widget based on any condition and returns false, so this issue MUST be fixed, also considering that the PHP versions before the 8 are not supported anymore.
On my category pages, this error appears at the top of the browser window:
Warning: Undefined array key “tdb_templates” in /home3/macropho/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/includes/tdb_functions.php on line 659
The error was resolved after deactivating the WPML plugin. Is the Newspaper incompatible with the plugin? I really need the WPML plugin to make the site multilingual.

I am using the **Newspaper Theme** with the **tagDiv Composer** for page building and have chosen to use the **Polylang** plugin (free version) for multilingual content, as I am already committed to this tool. I understand your documentation primarily recommends WPML, but I am seeking a workaround/solution for Polylang.
**The Problem:**
When creating a new translation (e.g., from English to Hindi) for a page built entirely with the tagDiv Composer, the new page is created but the **Composer’s layout is blank**, requiring me to rebuild the entire page structure manually for every language.
**What I Have Tried (Based on Polylang best practices):**
1. I have set the Polylang synchronization option for **Custom fields** to be checked/active. This is normally what copies page builder data.
2. I have also checked **Taxonomies**, **Featured image**, and **Page template** synchronization.
**My Goal:**
Is there an officially recommended method or a known configuration setting within the tagDiv Theme Panel that ensures the entire **tagDiv Composer structure** (the shortcodes/page data) is copied over when using the Polylang translation feature, similar to how it works with WPML?
Specifically, where does the tagDiv Composer store its page data, and can this meta key be whitelisted or synchronized by Polylang?
Any guidance on maintaining page layouts across languages with Polylang would be highly appreciated.

We know WPML might work a bit differently with other themes, but with the Newspaper theme, translations for pages and cloud templates are handled through the built-in TagDiv Composer.

I don’t need automatic translation, I just need a somewhat normal translation workflow. We are following that guide that you sent for now, doing it is faster than waiting for either TagDiv or WPML to fix things. But that guide is just a hack, not a solution.

Just a quick note regarding using the Newspaper theme with WPML:
For each page or template created with tagDiv Composer, you’ll need to duplicate it for the desired language in order to create a translated version. Once duplicated, you can edit the content using the tagDiv Builder keeping the original layout if you like, or adjusting it as needed for the translated version.
That automatic translation through WPML is only available for articles and pages made with the WordPress editor. Pages or templates created with builders like tagDiv will need to be translated manually.

Okay, so basically the normal workflow with WPML doesn’t work at all with Newspaper? The thing we need to do with our pages is to just skip the translation part in WPML, copy over the original language to the translated language and then edit in the page builder? That just sounds like a hack. If we later change the page, then what?

When using WPML with our theme, please make sure it is configured as shown in our guide:

Also, keep in mind that all templates and pages built with a page builder must be translated manually. Automatic translation should only be used for content created with the WordPress editor (Gutenberg or Classic Editor).

Hello! I’ve been in contact with the WPML support. This issue is taking an eternity for them, and this seems to be a problem with Newspaper and WPML in combination. So I write to you too and hope that one of you can fix it. Both of you claim that your software should work together. This is urgent, we would have launched the site already last week if this would have worked.
We started with one of the theme’s ready-made pages and began modifying it. Currently, we only have Wordfence, the TagDiv plugins required by the theme, WPML multilingual + string translation, and UpdraftPlus installed.
Symptoms:
The translatable strings appear as gibberish. On one page, all strings in both the source language (English) and the automatic translation to Swedish are just one hashtag. On another page, the source language looks like random characters, although the automatic translation to Swedish is sensible. It also seems like all strings are not picked up to become translated.
What is causing the translatable strings to appear as gibberish or random characters? Can you make the theme actually compatible with WPML?

The theme is more of a multipurpose theme, to fit more roles. While it can be said that the theme focus has shifted from a true Newspaper theme, we added features that were requested by many of our users. There are many theme users that needed better woocommerce features, or frontend submission, or better CPT support, or better RTL support, or a membership/paywall system, better support for a multilingual website using WPML, etc. We tried to add something for everyone.
When we added new major features we created new demos to showcase them, the themes/names of the demos were mostly random. It doesn’t mean that if a demo is called real estate or anything else, it can only be used for that purpose.
Believe it or not, we are a small team, it takes a bit of time to develop new features, fix issues and make improvements. We’ll see what we add next, your suggestions are noted and appreciated. The next update will be a maintenance update mostly, with a few new useful options. If all goes well it should be released next week.

There could be such issues unfortunately. I can add this on our list but I can’t say if or when our developer team will have the time to check. We try to maintain compatibility with the WPML plugin and this as well takes a lot of time and effort.
My suggestion is to not use the mobile theme plugin in this case. The responsive version works fine with the menus. Please consider disabling the mobile theme plugin.

Im using Newspaper theme , and WPML for an arabic version , the login form in the arabic version is set in english and the comment section too , i can’t find where to fix that please

If those buttons are set on pages or Cloud Templates using the TagDiv Composer, you need to duplicate the pages or templates for each language in WPML. Then, edit the duplicated version in the new language and manually update the button text or other elements for that language.

When translating the tagDiv theme post settings using WPML, the translation does not take effect and reverts to the original language (Arabic). I have to switch the post page to English and manually translate the post settings for the translation to appear correctly. The image Alt text also does not show the translated text.
I’ve asked a help from WPML support team and got that the issue is with tagDiv Cloud Library and here is their reply:

I was able to reproduce the issue in my sandbox site. However, after further investigation I found that the issue is coming from an accompanying plugin by the theme (tagDiv Cloud Library). If I deactivate this plugin, update the translation and check again, those fields retain the proper translated values (in backend and frontend).
Here’s my screen recording showing the above mentioned.
I’ll recommend contacting theme support and request a resolution.

For a second language the best way will be to use the WPML plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/ (tested with the theme), also there are other similar plugins that you can try, but WPML is the only one tested officially with our theme and we can help you wit it and settings.
Related to the theme update. If the changes have been made in the theme and plugins files, then you need to save all changes made and re-set them after the theme update. Also, there are some possibilities when the changes can be made using a child theme, but before doing any update, make sure you’ll have a full backup for the website and database.

The site is multilingual: the main language is Ukrainian, the second is Russian. We want to implement translation from Ukrainian to Russian by automatic translation using the WPML Multilingual plugin (valid license) + DeepL.
On the site for publishing Posts (news) we use the Classic Editor plugin – https://fex.net/ru/s/dv3oc2t
Next, when publishing a Post (news) in Ukrainian – https://fex.net/ru/s/cmyy6dp
We publish it and as a result we have an automatic translation of the Post and its duplication – https://fex.net/ru/s/nokpxf5.
We did not find how to fix the duplication of posts. Please help us solve this problem

When you try to edit the wrong template, you encounter a problem in Composer. You can switch the language from the language switcher and make the template translation global in the Cloud Templates. So you should have the main template for example Category template main and for the german language for example you should have the translated template version Category template german version. You can translate it from WPML. They should be global in each language, depending on the switcher.

Hi,
I’m experiencing an issue when trying to edit translated pages in tagDiv Composer. Every time I attempt to open a translated page for editing, I receive the following error:
Error at zones: 6(models) : 0(dom). The model does not match the content. Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z).
To troubleshoot this, I performed a clean installation of WordPress with a new database and fresh files, but the problem still persists. The only plugin I have installed is WPML.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue? What could be causing this, and are there any possible solutions?

2. The recommended and tested plugins with the theme are the ones you mentioned above at point 1.
For cache, you can use Wp Super Cache. If you are using Cloudflare, please ensure it is set as in our guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/; you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
You can use the contact form 7 plugin or build a form with the help of the Newspaper feature: https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-frontend-submission-form/
WPML for a multilingual plugin, or translation, you can use the simple plugin gTranslate.
For GDPR, there is a recommended plugin.
In the Newspaper theme we have a Newsletter plugin, Opt-in builder for subscription and you can simply add the ads and integrate them but there is not a plugin like a manager. Ad rotate plugin can be used for a manager or for creating ad groups to display on your website with the help of the Ad box shortcode from the tagdiv Composer.

You need to translate the English (original language) the template for each language in part – https://i.imgur.com/CDmeHCf.png you should have them for each language cloud template – https://i.imgur.com/4agmUtg.png
A much simpler and faster alternative is to duplicate the cloud template you want to use in another language, edit it and select the desired language – https://i.imgur.com/z1CqgBo.png (edit the name) – https://i.imgur.com/dPX8ROs.png – https://i.imgur.com/Lc81IgP.png This method needs to be used to translate all cloud templates.
The pages are created with tagDiv Composer which is a page builder, when WPML is used it cannot translate everything that was built with the page builder and must be edited for each language separately. Please open the page in the editor and click on translate – https://i.imgur.com/TXH6y1c.png. After, if you duplicate the template, you can edit it to change the logo, menu, and whatever you want.
When you make the corrections, make sure you are on the page with the language you are editing, and if you use the cache, or object cache, please clear it.
