Also you can check this only with Visual Composer and Social Counter plugins active(deactivate other plugins), clear cache and see if you still have this issue.

I’m not sure if this is what you mean, but if you use a background color or image the site will automatically switch to boxed version, so you will have to remove background color if you want header in full width – http://screencast.com/t/xLnQQ1EEmzp5

If you want to change the theme width, unfortunately the theme was initially designed at that width with an fixed grid layout and changing it would not be easy as it needs changing the width value for all elements on pages and for this you would need custom work.

Unfortunately the old customizations will not work with version 6 of Newspaper as this is practically a new theme. If you have made a backup before update please revert to the old theme.

Unfortunately we did not change anything regarding this, so when you use a background image the site will automatically switch to boxed version, this is how the theme was designed. You will need custom work to change this, so I suggest to get someone to help you achieve this if you don’t have basic html/css experience as we cannot provide any type of custom work at this time, sorry.

We know about this error it will be fixed as soon as possible. Anyway this error doesn’t affect how Big grid is displayed in frontpage. Please make sure that you have disable css minifications and try only with Visual Composer active, you should not have this issue with 6.1 version of the theme. If you use child theme try also with the main theme and see if it works.

Hi,

Before update please backup the site (database and files) – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
There is a guide how to update the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ I suggest to delete the old theme, then upload version 6 so you will make sure that no old files will remain. After update the theme you can update also the theme’s plugins, you can find them in the /plugins folder. After the update run the script, it will import old settings from database and it will change the shortcodes (like you can see in the documentation), the script is included in the Welcome panel – http://screencast.com/t/eZxxuqvsTir. Also you have to regenerate the thumbs – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/ You may have to re-add widgets on the sidebars, some of them may not be imported or don’t exist anymore.
