The post slider it’s a built-in VC block and it’s needed custom modification to change his functionality, but you can use Revolution Slider plugin which have a more complex functionality to display a post slider.

There is no ideal size for the feature images but in order to fit the thumb container it should have at least the sizes of thumb’s container, because WordPress doesn’t enlarges images. If you already use bigger images and still have issues with them, try to clear all caches purge cdn files also deactivate the plugins, leave just Visual Composer active, and make sure you regenerated the thumbs after theme’s update, then test again.

Regarding the VC plugin I noticed that the blocks stop appearing after the raw html: http://screencast.com/t/LBKe1OzNDiU so please check if the code you added it’s correct, because seems to affect the plugin functionality. Also you can check the browser’s console fro errors, or try without plugins, leave just Visual Composer active

I moved it in Newspaper forum.

The smart lists weren’t designed to work with pagination and we haven’t tested them like that, we added two new smart lists: http://screencast.com/t/8THWQEJyRHp0 which reload the page when you click on next – prev buttons, and allow new ads being displayed, maybe those will serve you better.

1. I am not sure why this happens, but you can check the the post loop settings to see if you have over 10 articles according with the filter you set. If you can’t manage to solve this issue, please provide a link so I can inspect it closer.

2. Please provide a screen from Visual Composer editor (Classic Mode) with your page layout or you can send the page content form back-end editor so I can duplicate this on my side, use pastebin.com for that.

I’ve tested the theme’s comment system on Internet Explorer and works fine on my side, also I’ve test this on your site, and works fine, so it’s possible that you have some resources that affect the site functionality on that browser. Also I have checked your site and found some errors in browser’s console: http://screencast.com/t/ov4RzYxR so make sure you deactivate all other plugins, except VC, clear the caches and test again.

The theme’s modules were designed to display some information about articles on the pages, like thumbs, author name, date, excerpts etc. As you remarked the smart list is a single post with different items. A possible solution would be using the module 15 on the page like here: http://screencast.com/t/xWPnCakFRmz – http://screencast.com/t/56O0gD5kE
In case you want a different implementation you will need custom modification in theme core files and I suggest you to hire a developer to do it for you, as it’s a very complex task because require a custom module with a different implementation then the ones present in the theme.

You’re right about post grids functionality, it loads all article and display the hidden ones when you click on load more button, but google does not penalizing your site because of this implementation.

You can sort the articles displayed in big grid using his filter: http://screencast.com/t/CdH5pqM3O but it doesn’t have an option to apply different filter on the article displayed in it, to put for example in module mx5 (the one from the left) one filter and on the other for mx6 modules a different filter, the theme doesn’t provide that option. You will need custom modification to achieve that functionality and unfortunately we cannot offer any custom work at the moment, as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ if you don’t know how to do it yourself.
