Hi,
The image is added inside the row in visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/Z2VHdgzUTuV3
You can remove the image from there and replace it with your own.
Thanks.
Hi,
If the method Chris suggested does not fix your problem, please try to follow this topic and add the code to your htaccess file: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thank you!
Hi,
You can set pagination for block 4 like so: http://screencast.com/t/OD6RGwjZtf
result: http://screencast.com/t/M4XvbbGs4v06 or you can chose another type of pagination like a load more button or infinite load.
As for the latest articles, they can be styled like blocks 4 if you change the module for it from here: http://screencast.com/t/QsOWWAiOsMM
result: http://screencast.com/t/yjMksYfwi
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
The code can be found here: http://screencast.com/t/3wTr4F1jyqc
The edit button works based on the user roles of wordpress: https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#edit_posts
I cannot provide an easy solution for this as you will probably need a plugin that changes the user capabilities.
Thank you!
Hello,
It seems you are right and the css does not scroll in the chrome search. I will add this to our bug list.
Thank you for pointing this out.
Hi,
Unfortunately you cannot add the woocommerce files in the child theme. They cannot be edited this way at the moment.
Thank you!
Hello,
This is because of the css getting rewritten. I suspect you use a child theme or you have some code in your custom css box that affects the theme color. Css works in cascades and it will load every phase of the code before coming to it’s final form. If the code gets rewritten sometimes you can see this cascade loading as you do on your website. Speedbooster also does this as it moves css render blocks to the footer so the modifications you make will be loaded after the style.css. The solution for this is to make the change directly in style.css in the main theme and change the accent color there. This way, that will be the first color to load.
(not a bug, but circumstance)
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately this can only be done by hard-coding it. There is another solution if you want, you can have 2 versions of the site by creating a sub-domain. These are basically 2 sites that have the theme installed and you simply redirect links between them. It will not be so easy to do though.
You can search for different plugins that can change the menu.
The coding method is far more complicated as it will involve hard-coding the option. You can follow this topic to see how registering a new menu can be done: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/conditional-logic-for-menu/ This is for having different menus for different users. However it will not be so easy to adapt it to your preference so I suggest you hire someone to help out in this case.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can control the font family, font size, style, weight and transform from the fonts section. The color of the blockquote is affected by the theme accent color: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-colors-introduction/ -http://screencast.com/t/kbdKAg9cIDb
Anything other than this will have to be styled with css.
If you want to change just the quote color, you can use this code:
.td-post-content blockquote p{
color:red!important;
text-align:left;
}
I added a text-align propriety in there so you can change it as well. it can be set to left, right, center or justify.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
unfortunately there is no way of doing this dynamically. If you have specific ads fort every case, then you will need to add them ‘manually’ using the custom ad spots. You simply place your ads in these spots: http://screencast.com/t/wcyPrJewgl and then use an ad box in the sidebar widget and select the ad spot you want. unfortunately this will also mean you need to create different sidebars for every post you want with a different ad.
As an alternative, you can maybe find an ad plugin that has such an option
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’m not sure I understood this exactly now. Do you want to remove the sticky sidebar (the scrolling part that stays on the screen as you scroll) or the sidebar as a whole?
A smart sidebar is not the same thing as a sidebar. If you want to remove the sidebars completely, then you need to follow this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
You can simply deactivate the sidebar on a post like so: http://screencast.com/t/1lVfxCfmrXfz
Then you need to edit the category sidebars, because if there is a sidebar set to a category, then all the posts will have this sidebar: http://screencast.com/t/Sc0sfuoAirT0
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately I do not think you can do that without a plugin. You can find online tutorials on how to do it.
You can check this video out to see how it can be done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFLkBb_teIQ
Thank you!
Hello,
It appears that your child theme is not created correctly or you have customization in it that break the layout of the theme. Please try to recreate the child theme and use the one that comes with the theme: http://screencast.com/t/kzEeYVKZ6LR
I’m not sure what a child theme configurator is but I assume this is the cause of the problem. It’s never a good idea to rely on plugins for something that can be done via ftp. Please follow this guide to properly set up your child theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hello,
This is strange as the font should have been loaded if it has been set in the fonts section. You can try to change your header menu for example to oswald from the theme panel and check in the page source to see if the font is loaded.
You can always try the alternative of loading it with css:
Add this in the theme panel -custom css code:
/* latin-ext */
@font-face {
font-family: 'Oswald';
font-style: normal;
font-weight: 400;
src: local('Oswald Regular'), local('Oswald-Regular'), url(http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/oswald/v10/yg0glPPxXUISnKUejCX4qfesZW2xOQ-xsNqO47m55DA.woff2) format('woff2');
unicode-range: U+0100-024F, U+1E00-1EFF, U+20A0-20AB, U+20AD-20CF, U+2C60-2C7F, U+A720-A7FF;
}
/* latin */
@font-face {
font-family: 'Oswald';
font-style: normal;
font-weight: 400;
src: local('Oswald Regular'), local('Oswald-Regular'), url(http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/oswald/v10/pEobIV_lL25TKBpqVI_a2w.woff2) format('woff2');
unicode-range: U+0000-00FF, U+0131, U+0152-0153, U+02C6, U+02DA, U+02DC, U+2000-206F, U+2074, U+20AC, U+2212, U+2215, U+E0FF, U+EFFD, U+F000;
}
/* latin-ext */
@font-face {
font-family: 'Oswald';
font-style: normal;
font-weight: 700;
src: local('Oswald Bold'), local('Oswald-Bold'), url(http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/oswald/v10/dI-qzxlKVQA6TUC5RKSb3xJtnKITppOI_IvcXXDNrsc.woff2) format('woff2');
unicode-range: U+0100-024F, U+1E00-1EFF, U+20A0-20AB, U+20AD-20CF, U+2C60-2C7F, U+A720-A7FF;
}
/* latin */
@font-face {
font-family: 'Oswald';
font-style: normal;
font-weight: 700;
src: local('Oswald Bold'), local('Oswald-Bold'), url(http://fonts.gstatic.com/s/oswald/v10/bH7276GfdCjMjApa_dkG6VtXRa8TVwTICgirnJhmVJw.woff2) format('woff2');
unicode-range: U+0000-00FF, U+0131, U+0152-0153, U+02C6, U+02DA, U+02DC, U+2000-206F, U+2074, U+20AC, U+2212, U+2215, U+E0FF, U+EFFD, U+F000;
}
And then use the previously provided code to change the font-family.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello,
If you want the ad to only appear in one category, then you need to use a condition in the php file. You can use this function:
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/is_category/ and
Then you can use the code like so:
<?php if (is_category('your category name')){
echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"]');
}
Now the ad will only appear in the specified category.
Thank you!

Hi,
As far as we know this method does not affect SEO but we did not test this thoroughly so I cannot provide a definitive answer. We have not encountered any problems with using this method so I think it’s save to say it won’t have a negative impact.
Thank you!
Sorry for the inconvenience but this is the only way to do it as the theme was built with a fixed width in mind and there is no option for adjusting it. Every element was created according to this fixed width.
Best of luck on your project.
Hi,
If the smart sidebar only shows in individual posts then simply deactivating it from the theme panel will do the trick. Please let us know if the option is not deactivated after disabling this option: http://screencast.com/t/jO2pcjlXKYu
Thank you!
Hi,
You can do that by creating a custom link in your menu and adding the link to a page you create or you can use 301 redirects to redirect the links to a category page. This can be done either from htaccess or with plugins.
Another thing you can try is a page mega-menu where a page will be shown when a menu item is hovered so you can style the page as you want in visual composer and add custom links to it and custom menus: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-menu/
I hope this helps.
Thanks.
Hello,
The quote font will be applied but only to the front-end. Please try to change it and access your front-end to see the difference. The back-end will not be affected by the theme panel setting.
The quote you showed in the screenshot is not a pullquote but a standard quote.
Please create your pull quotes like so: http://screencast.com/t/W7g7DJiueXA
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately all of them used on the website. Is the width required just on the homepage or on posts as well?
If only the homepage will get affected, then just the elements on the homepage will have to be adjusted. If the posts and category pages will get this width as well, then you will have quite a bit of work on your hands as our modules and blocks depend on the fixed width of the layout. Here is an example on a big grid so you can understand what I am referring to:
This is 1120px width: http://screencast.com/t/WuNiBfRDLV content gets cut-off. If I decrease the size of the main container: http://screencast.com/t/nfxlyC0l6
Thanks.
Hello,
The smart sidebar can be deactivated first from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/jO2pcjlXKYu
This will deactivate the smart sidebar from the Widgets area. If your sidebar is not a widget, but a row/column in visual composer like so: http://screencast.com/t/g9JsVY9sw, in this case the smart sidebar is added as an extra class on the visual composer row, so you need to remove this class in order to eliminate the sticky sidebar: http://screencast.com/t/RQQ2IJMu7
You can read more about smart sidebars here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
As for the second part of your question, you can customize a sidebar from the block settings for every element you add to it. Depending on the type of sidebar widget or visual composer. You can filter different categories to it by using content blocks like on your page and adding filters like shown here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
As for the size, i assume the width. this is not customizable as our theme was built in a fixed grid layout and there is no option to modify the width of elements.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately modules and blocks do not detect the category accessed so you will have to create different sidebars for every category and place a block inside them filtered by the specific category.
Thank you!
Hello,
There are ad spots for this type of ads in our theme called article top and article bottom ads:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
I hope this helps
Thank you!
