Hello Teo,
As Chris suggests (thanks Chris) you will have to use plugins to set the images as featured over multiple posts as the theme does not have an option for it.
For the images, there is no ‘one size fits all’. You generally need to upload an image that has a size bigger than the largest container you plan to use it in.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
The category color was implemented only for posts as a design choice. Unfortunately there is no plan to change the category tag colors for modules/blocks at the moment.
Thank you.
Hello,
Please understand that your version of the theme is very old. We are now at version 6.5.1. Lots of plugins were updated and even wordpress was updated since then and we cannot assure the old theme functionality with the new versions of plugins/wordpress. The current version of the theme has improved a significant amount from the version you are using and the code was changed radically. It is basically a new theme from the one you are using. We will however do our best to help you and possibly come up with a solution but we cannot guarantee an update will not be required.
Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your website and your login credentials so we can take a look. Please provide a link to this topic as well so we know who you are and what the problem is.
Thank you!
Hello,
You are referring to the mega menu. That is the default behavior of this feature. It pulls every sub-categories of the main category and lists them as a sub-menu.
If you want to exclude categories from the mega menu, you can follow this topic to see how it can be done: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/is-it-possible-to-exclude-third-level-sub-categories-from-mega-menu/
Thank you!
@blogmaster2003,
This topic is at least 1 year old and the method does not work anymore as the code was changed from then. The meta can be found here: http://screencast.com/t/ZR5Z4sOtMv. Remove that code to remove the author meta.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can remove the code meta if you want regardless of the speedbooster plugin. you can use the method Alin pointed above.
Thank you!
Hello,
The screenshots you presented are visual composer settings but the link you provided is of a post. For posts, the best way to chieve your goal is to change the post template to make the featured image be displayed full width:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-the-new-screen-savers-the-show-that-launched-video-into-the-stratosphere/
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-lenovo-details-new-computers-that-could-be-heading-our-way-in-2015/
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-2015-awards-all-of-the-best-and-worst-moments-from-the-show/
If you use visual composer on posts and you do not want to use another post template, you can use the full width row, but it will not work with a background image. If a background color or image is set, the website becomes boxed. It will not be able to display VC elements full width.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
I am referring to all menu related plugins. They are not tested with our theme and we cannot assure their functionality.
The mobile version of our theme was not meant to display the top menu by default. You can see this on our official demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/#
Check the mobile version of the demo and see how the theme is supposed to display the menu items.
These menu plugins seem to display fine in the desktop version, but maybe you can deactivate them for the mobile version as they seem to create problems.
Please disable your menu plugins and check the mobile menu again and see if the dorpdown works without plugins.
Thank you!
Hello,
The fact is that the code was changed in such a way that it will be very hard to make a customization like that. A professional developer will be able to do it, but it will involve changing quite a bit of the code and functionality. It will require substantial coding knowledge. So if you really need this customization done, you can hire a freelancer to do it from sites like studio.envato.com or other websites that offer freelance services.
Bottom line: it is possible, but we cannot help you in this matter as it falls beyond what the theme support can offer you.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello,
I tested the gallery myself and it seems to behave like that even on a WP default theme. The responsiveness and positioning comes from the visual composer plugin. It calculates them based on the image sizes. You will have to use different sizes for your images to fit the screen properly.
I will add this issue on our list of updates and we will try in future versions of our theme to implement a few responsive options for these VC elements.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
Hello Howard,
Unfortunately we do not know what plugin you use but it is clearly not working as expected. As you know by now, we have not tested social plugins with our theme as we have our own social counter and icons. You will have to either use CSS to adjust the styling or find another plugin that works. Not all of them work with our theme 100%.
You will have to use a bit of trial and error to find one that works out for you.
Thank you!
Hi,
Are you sure you have the pagination selected for that particular category?
In the theme panel there is the global setting and per category setting:
global: http://screencast.com/t/QngUUVKB
per category: http://screencast.com/t/Aevn1v6Gm
Let us know.
Thank you!
Hi,
1) You can use smart list 7 to get the desired effect. It has buttons on top and bottom of the content and it also has an ad.
You can use this custom css to adjust the size of the buttons:
.td_smart_list_7 .td-smart-list-pagination{
position: relative!important;
}
.td_smart_list_7 .td-smart-list-pagination .td-smart-list-button{
line-height:50px!important;
}
.td_smart_list_7 .td-smart-list-button{
padding: 11px 149px;!important;
}
result:http://screencast.com/t/hlU9hmaHVOx
2) What ads are you talking about? Which one?
The smart list i suggested has an ad positioned on top of the image. You can edit the code and move to the bottom if you wish.You can do it like this: http://screencast.com/t/ZiSzEWfqS
Let us know if this is not what you mean
Thank you!
Hello,
If you do not want to change the css for the gallery, but change the code completely you will have to edit the theme core files. The code you mentioned is created here: http://screencast.com/t/K5JUh3v1. As you can see it is not HTML you can simply edit and delete the classes unfortunately. It’s all PHP coded. You will need to change this whole gallery code in order to get the result you want. Unfortunately I cannot provide an easy solution for this.
Tank you.
Hello,
The image number is for the image i set. I showed you above how to use a single image element in visual composer. Just create a blank page, add a single image element, select your image, apply some settings/styling to it, then enter classic mode and text mode(not visual) and you will see the code for your image.
You can use the same method on posts. The posts have 2 files that correspond for one template. There is the single.php files and the loop-single.php. For this you have to edit the loop files. http://screencast.com/t/Dq6GqnpUBQ3O
Thanks.
Hi,
The font used seems to be this one: http://screencast.com/t/iXsK5MmN3l6l
Thanks.
Hello,
There is a way. You can use the background ad method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-ad/
Thanks.
Hello,
As you know the plugin just updated an hour ago. We had no time to test it thoroughly, but i did install the new update on my end. I have tested the problems you mentioned right now and everything seems fine. It works as expected.
You can check if it creates conflicts with another plugin. Try the usual disable all plugins except visual composer and SEO and check again.
Thanks.
Hi,
If you want the first thing on the page to be the image, then you need to add your code in the category template files: http://screencast.com/t/Jhqe3L6t
<?php echo do_shortcode('[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image="223" img_size="full" css=".vc_custom_1447858280464{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;}"][/vc_column][/vc_row]');?>
I just added a few more option to the image in visual composer like full size and padding.
Place it like so: http://screencast.com/t/gH5GgPEb
Just be advised that this will generate the same image on every category that uses this template.
result: http://screencast.com/t/jNBgRk8D
Thanks

Hello,
The latest articles title background is affected by the theme accent color: http://screencast.com/t/IpIEnNv3s3
For the ad you will need to edit the theme files to place the ad inside the page.
You can use this code:
and place it here: http://screencast.com/t/tY7rDT4F
Just make sure you have an ad placed in the custom ad 1 spot:http://screencast.com/t/OXINjrlHV
Thanks.
Hello,
We try to improve our theme on every update, including the child theme support as stated here: http://screencast.com/t/utFewXhfcm
As for the views i will add them to our list of updateds and hopefully in a future version we will be able to implement views on all blocks.
Thank you!
Hello,
If you are talking about the gallery image caption, you can read this topic and see how it can be done:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tag-div-slider-gallery-change-the-appearance/
Thank you!
Hello,
It actually depends on where you want to place a picture in full size.
On posts you can use a post style: http://screencast.com/t/g7tivHi5ImG
Or for pages you can use a homepage post element: http://screencast.com/t/xXjiy50q or a stretched row with an image applied to it: http://screencast.com/t/kNeylbfZK like our travel demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please disable all your plugins and try it without any of them active and check your site again. This error usually comes from .htaccess. Did you by any chance make any modifications to this file? If you did please try to revert to the default values.
You can also contact your hosting provider to see if there are no errors with server configuration.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hello,
Please try to make these modifications to the main files so you can check to see if the modification worked as expected. And copy over the files in the child theme. Do a back-up of these files before you modify them. If the modification that works in the main file does not work from the child theme, then certain files will not be manageable from the child theme. I think the wp_booster files cannot be managed by the child theme.
Here is a list of files that can be used with the child theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thanks.
