Hello,

You can use this custom css to change the height back again. You seem to have a code that reduces the default line height:

ul.sf-menu > .td-menu-item > a {
line-height: 80px!important;
}

Just add the code in the theme panel-> custom css

Thank you!

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no setting to disable the scroll effect. In order to do this you will have top edit the plugin core files.

Thank you!

Hello,

I do not know how your other theme was set-up but there are different ways to embed a facebook post into WordPress. You can check out this thread about the same problem: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/embed-from-facebook-wont-work/
I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Hi,

You must have post views enabled from Theme Panel > Post Settings – http://screencast.com/t/8OuCAPd2aja then you can test it by editing a post and take a look at custom fields: http://screencast.com/t/mSiJvu61tGj then refresh the post a few times and check if it increments. If those values are changed when the post is viewed then popular sort should work properly and the post should appear to your block.
Please check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. Let me know how it goes!

Thanks!

Hello pmats777,

We are glad you managed to solve the problem. Normally the theme should work with version 5.2.4 of PHP.
If you were using a lower version than 5.2.4 you did not meet the minimum system requirements.
You can see it here in our documentation. These are the system requirements for the Newspaper theme, but they apply to Newsmag as well:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

*PHP version 5.2.4 or greater (recommended: PHP 5.4 or greater)

Thank you!

Hello,

Try to clear all caches, deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer active and test again, also verify the console for any errors while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
If the problem persist try to check system status: http://screencast.com/t/3Nv4Hrv6

Increase max_execution_time at least at 300 and the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000. Those values are set in php.ini file so try to access it but note that some hosts may restrict the access at this file, if you don’t have access to it contact your host provider and let him know about this situation.
The WP_MEMORY_LIMIT from default-constants.php file it’s overwritten by the value from wp-config.php so try to modify the value from that file, here it’s a guide regrading this
http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks!

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. We do not work on weekends.
You have to provide more details to your problem. Create a test page with the widget you would like to hide and give us a link to that test page so we can inspect it. Also add the mailchimp form to that page so we can try to target just the specific widget you want removed avoiding the Mailchimp form. This is how CSS works. You have to be VERY specific otherwise you can cause other problems to your website.

Thank you!

Hi,

The Photon module is no tested with the theme and we do not recommend using it. It is known to cause problems. You can read more in this topic here (near the bottom):

Hello,

I have checked your site and the images seem to display fine now: http://screencast.com/t/vYuYsg3x300Ghttp://screencast.com/t/J4DMxrKa0
Let us know if the problem is back.

Hello vasik,

The mobile version of the theme was not designed to display the top menu. Further customization of the menu is very specific to your case. It depends on your setup. You have to provide more details to how you want it to display and also provide a link to your website.

Thank you!

Hello gelustondo,

This could be a plugin issue, please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and check your posts again. Also check individual post settings to be sure a sidebar is selected for each post.http://screencast.com/t/XPxduma9j
If the problem is still there, please provide more details so we can closer inspect this issue.

Thank you!

Hello tradermaker,

You have to check your modification of the theme files because the css code i gave Steven has nothing to do with how many search boxes are displayed. it was a simple color change. Your problem originates from somewhere else.

Thank you!

Hello,

You can change the sub-footer text color from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/mzmgSpXYk
You can read more about theme color in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-colors-introduction/

Thank you!

Hello Bintmusic,
In order to move related articles to sidebar, you have to modify the core files of the theme.

The theme uses loop-single-x.php and single_template_x.php where x is the post template number you chose in your post settings. Loop-single.php and single.php (no numbers) are the files for the default template.
Depending on what post template you use, you must make this modification in multiple files.

First of all you need to remove related articles from posts. This does not work if you remove it from the theme panel because it will remove your sidebar ones as well. Just comment out or remove this code from the ‘loop’ files: <?php echo $td_mod_single->related_posts();?> from the specific loop-single-(number).php – http://screencast.com/t/G3zz9D22f
And simply place it in the ‘single’ files under the sidebar: http://screencast.com/t/J5lBN4ypghKc
The result: http://screencast.com/t/VX1hdnJO

Thank you

Hello Habhajan,

I have checked your website and found that the problem is caused by this image here:
http://screencast.com/t/jkiWFPiBbzv
There is a problem with the sidebar layout and it seems that the image container is stretched over the block element. Please try to rebuild your sidebar in visual composer and if you want to display the image as an ad you can use the ‘adbox’ element. You can read more about using other ads here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads/
I hope this helps!

P.S. You can also regenerate your thumbnails so the featured images will display properly.

Thank you!

Hello Timo,

Please make sure you type in just the username of the Instagram account, not the whole URL.
Also make sure your profile has the visibility set to public, otherwise the social counter will not be able to get information from it. http://smallbusiness.chron.com/change-instagram-profile-private-public-77852.html
You can try one more thing: change the Instagram user with another (you can use coca cola’s for ex: http://screencast.com/t/ZLpRPoP4zP0 ) the counter should update now and the right number of follows should appear and then you can switch back to your own user having the right number of followers.
If after these steps the problem is still there, please send an email to contact@tagdiv.com and provide your login information so we can take a look and figure out a solution. Also include a link to this topic so we know who you are and what the issue is.

Thank you!

Hi Thierry,

When you edit your page in visual composer, make sure you select one of the 2 page templates (pagebuilder + ) other than the default. If default is set, the page title and sidebar will not display.

Hello nasa8x,

I’m not sure what you mean but i’m just guessing here. When you set a video post format and insert a YouTube video. the theme will automatically grab the video thumbnail and use it as the featured image of the post. It grabs the maximum resolution of this thumb. If you want to change this YouTube thumbnail as featured video you can remove it from the featured image section: http://screencast.com/t/NOVqlCzVELxW and add a new picture of your choice.
If this is not what you mean, please provide more details so we can better understand.

Thank you!

Hi,

Sorry but we cannot make a recommendation. We did not test any of these plugins to know for sure which one works best with our theme. Try some of them out and see how they work.
I did find an older topic about such plugin called ‘Subscribe To Comments Reloaded’:
You can try that one out and see if still works in the current version
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/do-not-show-me-html-code/

Thank you!

You can also try a plugin as AilyRoot suggested (thanks AilyRoot), but we have not tested this kind of plugin with our theme so we cannot assure it’s functionality. You can try it out and see how it works.
Thank you!

Hello Derek.
I’m not sure what you mean by message bar or by depth.
I only assume it’s the big container at the top with the “i” icon.
If this is the case you can use this code to reduce it’s size:

.vc_message_box .wp-image-46115{
max-width:50%
}
.vc_message_box h1{
font-size:18px;
margin-top:10px;
margin-bottom:10px;
}
.vc_message_box{
padding:0!important
}

You can add it in the theme panel->custom css box

Thank you!

Hello m0st0r,

In order to move the ad from the top of the picture you must edit the theme core files. In this case we are looking for td_smart_list_7.php. In this file you will have to move the ad code a few lines down, before the pagination render like in this screenshot here: http://screencast.com/t/2pqQ8mbDSNEf
(make sure you have an ad placed in the smart list 7 box in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/wMMye3Pc )
the result: http://screencast.com/t/PvR7N3ViCQy

Thank you!

Hello Kim,

Make sure you have the latest version of the theme first. If not you can follow our theme update tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Then you can find the file here: newspaper->includes->wp_booster->td_module_single_base.php
If you want to apply it to post style 2, just change the ‘single_template_11’ from the code and replace with ‘single_template_2’.

Thank you!
