Where do you want to add the Scribd? If you want to add it to the page, you should use a RAW HTML or Text with Title and if you want to add it inside a post content, you should simply add the code inside the post editor but this has to be in Text mode/Code editor.

Also, check what PHP version are you using (should be higher than 5.6), check in the theme system status panel for example. There was a similar case before when using an older PHP version caused problems when installing a demo.

Please notice that the TD Composer has been fully tested with the latest version of WordPress and it seems to works as expected. If you do not bring the button of TD Composer, try to press CTRL+SHIFT+R to reload the page without cache and see the results. Also, make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme, remove all of the untested plugins and check the results.
