Hi,
I just discovered now that problem was caused from:
“single post reading time” objet (I had recently put it on)
so diagnosis is correct: it is a shortcode element to make error.
Removed element everything works perfectly again.

For first time after good work for 5 years:
after update menu has off-center spaces.
Tring “edit” clikking near live CSS it open “page not found” in editing ,
but anyway you cannot edit anything because it appear error message like attached.

shure you can, you can remove generated css every time you want
rather, my advice is do many different experiment for best exit

take a look if composer (and all plugin) is “active”.

sorry if I enter but it’s important speaking of CSS:
I upgraded to 11 and everything works fine except for a small bug:
when you store the “critical” css on a post page, the related amp page loses its custom settings.
Eg, the color of the header, the font size, are only possibles in default ones.
If you want to customize a bit the amp pages of the articles you have to give up the “css generator”.
Sorry for the intrusion, but it was important, maybe it can be fixed with little …

what you say is correct, however it is a small expense to offer an extra service to readers and authors.
Personally I usedthe Avatar plugin but lately they have transformed it into another thing with other objectives, so :
I too ask if it is possible to implement in our “Newspaper” the function of the author card (with photos) without weighing it down with another plugin (in fund is a trivial function).

is there a way to see forecast how would be a cloud library theme without making it operational on the site?
I would like to get an idea before choosing it…
My theme is London Pro, can I test every mobile cloud or choice is only for London Pro mobile?
And last: for a faster loading, you would suggest cloud mobile better of plugin mobile?

update: I discovered that it was a malfunction of the plugin that manages the ads following the update.
So it doesn’t depend on update, but implementing it knocked out a plugin..

in my case advice is go back ti previous version of theme,
but this disturb me, I took a small step towards better speed …

just read your message just today I was trying to understand why my ads have disappeared from the home page (instead on the post pages they work well)…
i can speculate that it has to do with css analyzer

1 deleted all plugin = wp ok
2 delete newspaper 10391 = wp ok
3 install newspaper 104 = wp ok
4 install plug in td composer = critical error wp (site no more accessible)

what can do?

I don’t know if it’s the fault of the update, the fact is that with 10.391 everything works, if I update wordpress gives me a fatal error message (something like:
critical error on your website, how to learn debug in wordpress).
Can you help me please? I absolutely want to upgrade to 10.4.

I tried to update all manually as describet ( I thing better thing),
but this time, for first time, at the end of process I had a blank page with a wordpress notice “fatal error, see how to do debug…” o something like that..
I come back via ftp and with backup site goes back to work..
According to you why this thing happended?

shure, it is easy:
in admin panel: newspaper > welcome > updates
below, where you see “newspaper time machine”
then you choose the version you are shure worked well
then “install version”

ps: it is possible to find very little differences from before update, but in few minutes you have same site of before

upgraded to 10.4 and everything worked. Loading was also improved better with the CSS selector. Unfortunately I had to go back to 10.391 because the AMP pages were giving so many errors. Having had to install the WP AMP PLUGIN together with the MOBILE (before I only had the second to travel light and it worked very well) the graphics had changed and the pages had many errors. I tried to clear cache, plug in put and remove plugins but nothing changed. Even in the end the mobile PLUg had disappeared, despite the fact that from the plugin page it gave me activated there was no longer even the option in the theme panel : “MOBILE” disappear… . then new system with AMP with uglier graphics, anonymous, in a broken page and full of errors. I hope it settles soon because the new update was terrific as a loading improvement (from 15 to 55 mobile, from 60 to 96 desktops) doing nothing. Thank you

sorry Vlad, can you make the answer public later? Even to me it has apparently suddenly stopped working by hisself and I am looking everywhere in the forum for solutions, but if you give them only in private, the others are excluded. Sorry for the criticism 🙂

I don’t think it’s fair to promote other paid services to improve performance. I am very happy with my theme which just needs minor improvements. Among other things, when we bought wp rockets, that all subjects tell very good and I’m shure about thatm everything was blocked due to incompatibility with other components. So let’s go easy on recommending spending money on untested things
