Yes, you can use the classic editor, but we recommend to use the classic element from Gutenberg.
Also you can create buttons for pages and template with tagDiv Composer and save them to can use it latter ( use right click -> http://prntscr.com/pgbdbo ). Indeed there seems to be a problem for canonical links on amp if you have set a loop ( pagination).
Please try with Yoast seo plugin hope this will help you!
