Hi,

If you are using the mobile + amp option from mobile theme plugin, you’ll get a different homepage on mobile, unfortunately for the moment you can not change the mobile layout, sorry!

Please check our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

Hello !

If you are using child theme, you need to replace the child theme that you are using with the one that came with Newspaper v9.7.3, or you can edit the functions.php from 1001 to 11 and it should work: https://image.prntscr.com/image/LJgOPaseQeWx88hn-pSKGQ.png just make sure that you clear all cache after you make those changes.

If the problem persist with plugin activation, you need to go in Plugins and delete the current theme plugins, after that please go in Newspaper > Plugins and update and activate the plugins from there -> https://www.screencast.com/t/AxzxIUxMgGS

Hi,

Most of the theme files were moved into the tagdiv composer plugin as per the requirements of envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements.
We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/

The easiest way it will be to make an downgrade to Newspaper v9.6k, in this way you’ll be still able to use the api.

Thank you!

Hi,

I think that this problem can be fixed by changing a line of code in wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/header-amp.php
Replace:
<html <?php language_attributes(); ?>>

-> https://www.screencast.com/t/Fj94HAommH
With:
<html <?php language_attributes(); ?> amp>

-> https://www.screencast.com/t/yIjgHPfpB
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you!

Hi,

If I understand correctly you want to move your website from sub-domain on main domain, if is so please check those articles.
Move WordPress from Subdomain to Root ->https://askwpgirl.com/move-wordpress-subdomain-root/
How to move WordPress from subdomain to root domain -> https://hostpapasupport.com/move-wordpress-subdomain-root-domain/
Ensure that your website has been correctly and fully transferred to the new domain. Many of our users have made these transfers using the WP Duplicator plugin. For more details about that plugin, you can check here -> https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-wordpress-to-a-new-host-or-server-with-no-downtime/

Thank you!

Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css as there are very few files left in the main theme as envato requires all functionality to be added through plugins.

Hi,

You can use the Newspaper v9.6 as long you want, unfortunately from Newspaper v9.7 the child theme support only the style.css file and functions.php, I do not know for future if this will be completely removed from theme or will be fix.

Thank you for your understanding!
