Hello again,

I have WP Super Cache installed. I cleared the website’s cache and the browser’s cache but the problem was still there. It was fixed only after I rolled back the theme to v. 12

Hello again Anamaria,

That tip for the console was a success. Sucuri firewall was blocking access to wpeditor.php. We added it to the allowed url paths and it’s working fine now.

Thank you

Hello again,

Maybe I didn’t make myself clear on what is the problem that I face. Please see the screenshot here: https://snipboard.io/hN0syQ.jpg

The spinning icon stays there forever and the editor doesn’t load. But I can add new rows, columns and stuff like that and I can also save the page. Only the editor doesn’t work.

Thank you

Hello Anamaria,

Before deactivating the plugins I purged the cache but it didn’t work. I also tried using two different browsers, still nothing.

I remind you that I’m not having trouble saving the page but opening the editor window. When I click Edit Content in TagDiv composer, the editor window opens but I only see the spinning icon and the editor never loads.

I’m not using any special firewall plugin but recently I started a cooperation with Sucuri for server protection. I don’t know if this has anything to do with my problem.

Thank you,
Nick

I’m having the same problem, when clicking on Edit Content it shows the spinning icon and doesn’t open the text editor.

Hello again,

The problem with the video positioning, size and ratio appeared after the update to v. 10.3.9 and it continues with v. 10.3.9.1. Videos are shown on the left, smaller in size than they were when we set up the pages even without TagDiv Composer and now they are shown in 4:3 ratio although they are recorded in 16:9. Do you have any solution to offer other than to manually open all pages containing videos, convert them to TagDiv Composer format (I don’t even know how to do that when I only see a very cryptic message saying “Errors at columns: 1(models) : 2(dom). The model does not match the content” which doesn’t say much to me and offers no solution) and save them back?

Thank you,

Nick

Hi,

Website is Espavo.org

I have created a test page for you since the website offers online seminars and all video pages are locked. Please take a look here: https://www.espavo.org/test-video-page/ Page contains only the video url.

Hello again,

This is exactly the piece of code that you told me to replace in your email the previous time that I wrote you about this problem. I did that but it still doesn’t work. Any idea when the new version of the theme will be released?

Thank you

Hello again,

The problem persists even after a line of code you sent me to replace in wpeditor.php. When editing our front page – and any other page probably – that contains an apostrophe (‘) using TagDiv Composer, when it encounters this character, it adds a slash (/) before the apostrophe. If this isn’t corrected and the page is saved with the mistake, every time it is edited with TagDiv Composer, it adds an extra slash before the apostrophe and the text becomes /’, //’, ///’ and so on. Last time you wrote me that that I should wait for a new version of the theme that would fix the problem but I haven’t seen one for over a month now. Any new ideas?

But it is already running Newspaper v. 9.0.1 and TagDiv composer v. 2.3

Hi Simion,

None of your suggestions worked. Here is what I have done, in case it gives you a clue:

I have created a staging site where I set up a front page. After checking the staging site, I copied it to the live site. Although the front page in the staging site can be edited with TagDiv Composer (where it doesn’t say that the page was not created by TagDiv Composer), when I try to edit the same page with TagDiv Composer in the live site, I get the message that it wasn’t created by TagDiv Composer and I cannot save it. I even copied the contents of the page (from the text editor) to a new page with the same results. I get the message and I cannot save it. The strange thing is that when I copy the contents of the same page when in the staging site to a new page, when editing it I get the message but I can save the page. So, the same contents in two different sites are treated differently by TagDiv Composer. Both the theme and TagDiv Composer are in their newest versions in both sites. Does this make sense? Does this say anything to you?

Hello again,

I deactivated all plugins except TagDiv Composer but nothing happened. In Firefox the save icon disappears while in Chrome it keeps spinning but it doesn’t save. I checked the system resources and they are better than the ones recommended. I also deleted all cache. I’m in a loss here. Nothing seems to work. The only thing that may help you is that when I edit the front page with TagDiv composer, I see a message that the page was not created with TagDiv Composer. Any other ideas?

Hello again,

I’m sorry but no matter what size I enter in the iframe, the video shows full column width. It doesn’t matter if I enter <iframe src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/%5Bvideo ID]” width=”750″ height=”422″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”> or <iframe src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/%5Bvideo ID]” width=”200″ height=”113″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”> or even <iframe src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/%5Bvideo ID]” width=”50%” height=”50%” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”allowfullscreen”> the video always shows full column width. It doesn’t show in the dimensions I want. Maybe I made myself more clear now?

Hello again,

Please disregard #1, it was my mistake. Newspaper folder was wrongly
uploaded through FTP inside the existing Newspaper folder. Fixed it now and
it works flawlessly.

All plugins are updated – Link to website: http://www.lwstaff.com

Mobiles only show one burger menu – the main menu, not the top menu. Please
check http://www.lwstaff.com with a mobile.

As for the thumbnails, again please visit http://www.lwstaff.com and check “From
Steve’s Desk” and “Scheduled On Line Events” categories. It is obvious that
there is an imbalance regarding the thumbnails. Both categories are blog2
layout and autofeed. The “Scheduled On Line Events” posts are created
before the installation of Newspaper. Please check thumbnail creation
because the “Entraining Light” post has the same featured image dimensions
(1920×1080) as “5 Words in Time” yet the thumbnail appears smaller and
blurred. And this happened today when I removed the featured image and set
it up again after updating the post. To me this means that there is a
problem when generating thumbnails.

I have deactivated all plugins except TagDiv Composer but nothing changed.

So, main problems are:

1. Mobiles don’t show the top menu

2. Thumbnails in posts after Newspaper installation appear smaller and
blurred.

Looking forward for your reply.

Hi, Just purchased the Newspaper theme and I’m having the same problem. When choosing to edit a page with TD Composer all I see is a blank page with the spinning icon. PHP.INI settings exceed recommendations. Already tried deactivating all other plugins with same result. Please advise.

Thank you,

Nick
