Simion in fact it just happened ( 0847am ) see now the block is this: https://imgur.com/a/I8tmwZB – the latest chosen block and indeed this block also shows as the block in TD Composer ‘edit page’ screen – they both exist at different times and the same time both on page and in edit screen of TD Composer ( parallel universe? :-))
If you view the home page you will see one or the other
Pat
That’s exactly it Simion – I cannot replicate it on demand but it happened this morning again – it’s the home page https://westbridgfordwire.com
Currently ( 8:45am UK) this is showing https://imgur.com/a/yuvOofv – but that isn’t the current block chosen in TD Composer, and earlier today a different block was showing, the last chosen block – I haven’t done anything except browse the site to see this
Note that if I edit page with TD Composer, the block is there – view the page then on a mobile device, and you will see the other block, the last chosen block showing, mobile isn’t the issue though – because that same block will show on the homepage again later at some random time
After advice from Bogdan I switched ‘duplicate articles’ to allowed, but this doesn’t fix it
Thanks
Pat
Adrotate Pro on site for 6 years, a flawless product for me with Newspaper – shortcodes can go into Theme Panel ad fields, or TD composer / VC ad blocks – sidebar widgets are great too.
Hi Bogdan
I don’t think unique articles has worked for a while – whether enabled or not the ‘load more’ always loads duplicates on home page
Have disabled it though now – see image here: https://imgur.com/a/m6SZYQy
This is the issue (picture), the block now showing is a former block from a few days ago not the block that was in the picture earlier, yet I haven’t changed anything
Thanks
Sidebar name is Newspaper default, no edits or special characters
Well it’s not ‘inside’ the widgetized sidebar it’s above it, in whitespace – should I out some kind of ‘row’ in there to contain it? Its just dragged to whitespace.
See: https://imgur.com/a/lB1bh41
The element ‘All tour of Britain news here’ is the block above the widgetized sidebar – on the site this block randomly shows 1. this block 2. the former slider block I used 3. no block at all
In one case after changing the block in the sidebar to a different block – ( this isn’t the widgetized sidebar just dragging a block element to a space in the sidebar ) the new block showed, then on later page views the older block shows – yet in ‘edit with TagDiv Composer’ the new block is there.
Nothing wrong here with 4.9.8 and TDComposer
Ah this has happened to me on my homepage too, not major issue as I show 25 posts, and hasn’t affected views – it isn’t a Cloud Template though – perhaps the same issue and look forward to a fix
Pat
Hi Simon
I think it’s LiteSpeed Cache – installed after a move to a UK hosting company – not working with TD SpeedBooster – perhaps duplicate functionality – not an issue hardly affects speed to have both on of course
Will re-post if this isn’t the solution
Hi Bogdan
Yes I understand AMP – but some WP plugins can force all mobile posts to AMP – just wanted to check that TagDiv doesn’t – have implemented and it’s great – allowed me to delete other plugins too
It looks really much better
Thank you
In my experience – OneSignal works on the theme on 1. Desktop 2. Android mobile devices ( I’m NOT using TagDiv mobile theme – just the desktop as the mobile theme ) so don’t know about the Tagdiv mobile theme…
ashubais
Just a note – I couldn’t find import / create template button either – on a MacBook Pro using Safari – it only shows if you FULL SCREEN the browser window – it is ‘Create’ ( not Import like the instructions say )
Yes sorry Bogdan I mean…
Is it just AMP in search results like it should be?
Or does it make any post viewed on a mobile device AMP? ( even if not via search results )
Bogdan
On this subject – does the tagdiv amp plugin just show amp posts in search results?
I have ads on mobile site and so don’t want all amp posts as default – just search results
If using tagdiv amp plugin – we don’t use any other plugin like Amp-for-WP or Automattic’s AMP?
Thank you
Just a note – we’ve nailed SEO with this theme and Yoast for a couple of years, would be surprised if this makes much difference, white hat, Yoast, and ‘content is king’ always wins through! As long as speed isn’t really bad…
Hi @loano1 Of course! You’re absolutely right đ
Thanks for taking the trouble to let me know!
Thanks – that works for desktop icons, except that it removes the WhatsApp icon from desktop completely – mobile all good – desktop doesn’t show WhatsApp even though selected in Theme Settings – all caches cleared again and browser cache too this time
Thanks for help
This is resolved for me
I have this same issue after update to 8.5.1 – search bar just below menu on desktop and on mobile ( not td mobile theme ) it is on the opposite side, the same side as the hamburger for the menu – instead of one icon on each side. Cleared all host caches and Cloudflare cache.
Thanks
I would try: 1. Create the three ads in AdRotate 2. Create a group 3. Tick the three ads so they are in the group you created 4. Put the group Shortcode in ‘Background ad’ in Theme Panel – this works with the other custom ad spaces
See http://westbridgfordwire.com ( header and leaderboard ) ads both use this method
AdRotate PRO gives impressions/clicks – you have to pay for that functionality
Ah ok – what is your question then?
I’ve used AdRotate Pro for about three years – and know it quite well. I don’t think this is possible as part of that plugins offer.
What I would do is put the background ad on, then use Google Analytics ‘Events’ select – ‘Top Events’ which with some searching and filtering should show you ‘clicks’ AWAY from your website to your advertisers’ websites – and there you have the clicks – for impressions just measure the page views for the site ( or just home page if that’s where the background ad exists ) for the days any one ad was showing

Hi Chris
Not at all, thanks for your view, to be honest I think there are many that can get carried away with the next big web thing, I agree completely about the site speed/responsive argument. The only reason I use AMP is because when the news carousel is working – a small independent brand can get the same visibility here in the UK as a National does. But to be honest I donât know if âthe man in the streetâ cares about AMP at all…or even notices the difference that much. Content is still king and so theyâll click if the quality is there and the story is what they want. Plus currently itâs only search results that bring AMP results.
Many publishers are turning their backs on it apparently- one reason being that the URL is prepended Google rather than your own brand URL. Interesting times.
Yes but it’s too late in the future – AMP is already way over one year old…appreciate development takes time, but many features (like native video as featured image; and native AMP) are already commonplace on news sites…Newspaper 8+ must keep up with these features as publishers like us (usually ‘small’ and independent) have to be different to the larger national/regional operators who can’t react to tech progress as quick as we can…we have to keep reacting or leading the online game
