I don’t use the TagDiv mobile theme, have never used it – it isn’t installed and therefore doesn’t install when updated

This issue persists with 12.6.2 – updating ( never had an update issue before )

The mobile plugin doesn’t auto install now but…

On mobile ( not plugin, responsive ) Big Grid Flex 1 corrupts to two massive images – the rest of the home page on mobile look fine – it’s Big Grid Flex 1 that is corrupting – no plugin deactivating or similar, fixes it – all site requirements are met all plugins tested. Only rolling back to 12.5 fixes the problem.

Desktop unaffected.

Sonjita I’ve used this before and it’s similar with some styling options

Hi Anamaria

Have checked cache plugin Litespeed OC is off –

Host checked too there’s no other OC at their end – and they added:

‘I’ve cleared the .htaccess file of any Litespeed cache entries as sometimes they get stuck and still cause “cached” pages. If you want to try again and see if that helps.

If it doesn’t you may need to refer back to the theme dev to see if they have further suggestions.’

None of that worked in this case –

What was the solution for this?

I have the same issue with Litespeed cache – some content blocks not updating, others are updating

When in TDComposer they show as updated, but after saving they show older posts. Offset is blank and they are sorted as Latest by Category.

Thank you

If you need a Live Blog solution try 24LiveBlog – have used it for years with Newspaper with no issues.

Just being helpful no links to the product personally at all

It’s also the best there is at the minute – to white label and for some features you have to pay for it but worth it – there’s a WordPress plugin for it but it’s unnecessary because it works by JavaScript embed ( or AMP or I frame )

Here’s one of ours: TagDiv devs made the pulsing icon for me as paid development

Example on our website

And here’s their site: 24LiveBlog

To TagDiv – a cloud template would be a great addition to allow a simple live blog feature in Newspaper.

This is just a helpful comment and not support 🙂

‘Responsive’ is the theme without the mobile plugin activated

I have a very busy news site – it depends if you’re building a new one or have an established site I think –

I wouldn’t bother with AMP at all – the theme with good hosting can be as fast as AMP –

AMP isn’t a ranking factor on search results, AMP doesn’t need to be implemented to be on Google News carousel either now – publishers are leaving AMP because it’s a pain to keep preparing for it – and you lose your URL because everything on AMP starts google.com/xxxxx

Check out SearchEngineJournal’s article – Should You Abandon AMP? 4 Considerations To Help You Decide

I don’t think anyone should bother worrying about AMP now, it’s pretty much dead – when I dropped it nothing changed at all on search rankings – if anything they got better

With my site the desktop is a design from a Cloud Template and edited how I want

I’m building a mobile page that’s less cluttered and easier to view than the desktop – so you don’t have to change it every time you change the desktop – unless you really want them to be identical, in which case you may as well stay responsive

Honestly the theme if you take time to read the docs and ask support can literally do anything you want – and with some tweaks ( there are forum posts about it down the years ) you can make it really fast. Check westbridgfordwire.com mobile speed – currently just the responsive version ( mobile page under construction )

Also in TagDiv Composer choose viewport at the top and some design changes can be applied there without the need for a separate ‘mobile page’

As I said just what I find best – I’m sure TagDiv support may be clearer for you 🙂

Hi Calin

Just to confirm that 11.4.3 does NOT fix the mobile menu for me – will leave installed though for more testing and email logins to support if necessary

Thanks

Hi Anamaria

I had an email from support and replied to it – but they think that the TagDiv customisation work has stopped working – that is not the case, the customisation works well.

To note: Custom label works on post loop and big grid flex – does not work on Flex blocks –

I can’t find their email to me from this morning or my reply to them – can you see if yourself and / or Simon – Bogdan have received it – I also reserve the video from this forum which shows the issue
Thanks

Thank you all emailed

It also shows on Post Loop – so it’s just all Flex Blocks where it does not show

Thanks

Hi Anamaria

No plugin conflict I can find

One strange thing is that the custom work from Tagdiv adds the ‘live category tag’ options to all flex blocks – this new label should appear near to that menu item that I have on my theme – but doesn’t

The Big Grids do not have the ‘live category tag’ option from TD custom work, but the new label option DOES appear on FlexGrids

As I said though the custom work was a few updates ago and all has been fine until this improvement

Cheers
Pat

It’s a child theme after TagDiv customisation work, but has always updated ok with other recent updates – could that be the issue?

Will do the plugins check as soon as I can Anamaria

You can also right-click and ‘cut’ or ‘delete’

PatWire
tagDiv Member

As soon as you grab the row ( where the word ‘row’ is top left ) or its content with the mouse – the mouse pointer graphic should say ‘content’ and a red flashing ‘drag here to delete’ box should open somewhere on the page

The option isn’t available on my composer options for any Flex Block – only for Flex Grids

See this one for Flex Block 1

Version is 11.4.1
