Azhar – if you use AdRotate plugin you can use there widgets in the sidebar – with shortcodes – this can be used as well as a TagDiv ad box and you can use multiple AdRotate widgets

Adrotate works great with this theme – make a ‘group’ – after making individual ads – tick the ones you need in the ‘group’ (a group is one ad space with multiple rotating ads in it )

Get shortcode – out it in a theme panel ad position – works great. If on mobile they stutter a little there’s a simple edit to prevent this.

I also ran previous sites through MaxCDN and Cloudflare – both paid for about $29 per month – I use neither now no cache plugin even and have lost 1 second. For my audience this is fine. So it’s even paid for itself 10 times over.

I hate to say this as many disagree but GoDaddy Managed WordPress as a host has been awesome and also contributed to good speeds, cache at host and backups and staging sites. But will probably have to move to private soon if traffic keeps rising ?

This forum and the support on it I find unique- having used two premium themes in the site before, and with good support I must say from the theme authors by email, the patience displayed by the team at TagDiv with requests are worth paying for. What’s different is that when you buy a theme, a theme author won’t advise on every little tweak and change you may need. TagDiv does that here. People buy the theme, which to be fair at about £30 Sterling UK is a coffee a day for two weeks – and then what lots and lots of style changes – me included – and we get them with a smile and properly explained with screenshots. The theme itself is state of the art, increases page views, looks as good as any national or international News website, increases dwell time, and is very customisable in itself without touching code.

I don’t know how they operate the forum all day for just the theme revenue, each time you look there are loads more questions – I would gladly pay for support here and anywhere that comes anywhere near this level of service. My site does generate revenue, and I’d suggest most choosing the theme are probably aiming for that too.

To be of some help EventOn is awesome – I don’t have SpeedBooster – but when I moved themes it just worked – it also looks fantastic on all platforms and devices with some lovely custom shortcode generator widgets too. Had no issues with Newspaper 6

Apologies- I’m sorry it was my own fault!!

But it may help others…
I used a staging site and therefore ‘Discouraged Search Engines’ whilst implementing the theme – because it was a temp random URL on staging

Guess what I forgot to do when transferring the ‘new’ Newspaper 6 site back to ‘production’?

No permalinks and is mobile friendly I’m sure. Pingdom 5s down from 3
Should the code be put in the theme field of using Yoast too?

Yes I’ve taken a speed hit but not optimised site yet, will probably go CFlare – used before on GoDaddy Managed WP and kept getting 522 errors annoying users and they could never solve. Also used MaxCdn which is also not on yet on the new site. Plus you’re right it could just be the blip of change that sometimes happens – will give it all a few days and let you know of still an issue

One question…using custom CSS from this forum I have changed the Big Grid article headings to a shadow opacity ‘block’ – but the headline text has shaded too, I need it to be white like before but I can’t find any other posts here that help?

Another post has the CSS I used and the example link has the opacity box but the text remained white. Can you help me with the colour element of the CSS

Here is the code I used:

I’ve done that just as you asked:

Deactivated all plugins – cleared all caches

Activated one by one – Result EWWW Image Optimizer causes the class errors (I have left it deactivated but installed) I’m sure I can use an alternative plugin to manage media upload minimise sizes.

Could you look at some CSS for me? Need no ads anywhere at all on ‘All listings’ ‘For rent’ ‘For sale’ and the ‘single listing’ quality

Sorry for the trouble but really want to use theme and the ad thing is a problem for the Real Estate advertisers. You can see how it’s worked on westbridgfordwire.com/for-rent/ with this css from theme author below: I tried the CSS from the WP-Prosperity author below in Newspaper 6 but it wouldn’t do anything

So in the current ‘live’ theme there’s a tick box for remove all ads (I know you don’t have that no worries) – and additional custom CSS to remove header ad

Things have gone quite well replicating ad positions. A few questions as I finish off the move to Newspaper 6;

1. TagDiv ad block – for sidebar does this only have one ad and one widget? The one where you enter code in Theme Panel? I have used multiple Adrotate widgets instead.Can I use multiple instances of your TagDiv ad widget? Different ad code in each?

2. I have property pages – they are custom pages from Estatik plugin. in the shortcode from the plugin
[es_single_property] in generates the single property house or apartment – I need to remove all ads from that page and all like it – remove header ad/sidebar (sidebar which I’ve used a plugin for and removed the sidebar so that’s done) and all other banners – just need a clean page or no other real estate agents will pay to list properties with us. My previous theme had a tick box to remove all ads in WP editor for posts/pages. Is there some custom CSS or other code that I can put in to help with this?

also need all ads removing on ‘All Listings’ – ‘For Rent’ – ‘For Sale’ (accessible from dropdown menu) How can I do this?

3. Style 8 (posts) shows badly on smartphones – the parallax seems to corrupt

I’ve tested Estatik real estate listings plugin and EventOn event calendar plugin by the way – and from my point of view (with no real tech knowledge) they look perfect and work just fine, no issues yet at all. Thanks for your answer – that re-assures me on the ads.

Will spend more time making a home page and let you know if any other issues. Biggest issue is using the staging site and then having to also create new content on existing site, which will have to be re-posted at some point to the new ‘live’ Newspaper 6 site 🙂
