Agreed it’s a good solution – as are their other AMP solutions, also agree a lot of their extensions aren’t worth the very high charges, this one is if you want a nice AMP look without building your own.

As a Tagdiv fan though I would rather have paid Tagdiv for their own version if available…

I implemented scripts to footer and it definitely improved speed (not that speed is ever an issue for my site) – however after over a year of Bounce 6% and 2.9 Pages/session, these have changed to bounce 67% and p/s 1.8 – could a change like this have made this happen? Could it be the GA code?

I’m looking at whether anything else changed but don’t think it did…

Have you seen this before and have any other ideas?

Have turned it off 24 hours ago and deleted – but can’t see a recovery yet…

Actual pvs seem as strong as a normal period

I’ve had the same issue intermittently – strangely if I use a screenshot from the video (or any image) as a normal featured image on the post – it still shows a ‘play’ icon showing the reader it’s a video post

I use AdRotate Pro and it’s very easy – as Chris S said – in my case I use the Adrotate shortcode directly in the spots chosen via Theme Panel

And for sidebar use the widgets from AdRotate and drag them onto it – as many as you like – see westbridgfordwire.com and let me know if you have any questions

Header, leaderboard, and post inline are all used, some with ‘Groups’ that rotate – again the plugin provides a shortcode for the group – it has never failed me on any Newspaper version – provided you update it properly (the plugin) when he sends one out

Shortly I’m removing sidebar ads on homepage though – there is also one tagdiv widget I think for one sidebar ad. For if you don’t need multiple…

Is your sticky speed post that you mention above still ok and valid to use ? Given updates etc I mean?

My point was that I was always on Newspaper 6, 7, or 8 when I’ve operated FB IA

Just to note I’ve used FB IA for the last year (on and off not all posts of course)

However I code them manually, you can’t have the beauty of FB IA through RSS (which I assume you’re using?) – so for some posts I code in FB – thats when you can remove these errors…

I’m not sure any theme can guarantee all code sent through vis RSS meets FB IA requirements, just like it may not for AMP without plugin help

Just ideas, I’m sure the authors will also respond

Tagdiv composer etc I’m sure is a step forward,qiuicker etc – but as a busy news site I haven’t got time to take risks with it – what I can’t believe is that still in Newspaper8, ‘native’ videos (from library) can’t be used as Featured ‘image’ in posts – this is essential now, all brands do it, the theme is great, I’ve loved it, but it is becoming out of date with ‘news’ websites.

Sadly I feel sure that at some point I’ll have to move to one that allows modern news, or get a developer to do what should be standard – the theme should be like the ‘National/Internartional’ titles in terms of content presentation – I fear the development may be in the wrong features.

Yes sorry Chris I meant no ‘different’ one since the last one in March – and it’s always added to the theme forest page too, and it isn’t
