Hi,

Our AMP plugin will not show a menu, maybe at some point in the future this will change.

We based our design mainly on the Yoast SEO AMP version of posts, there is no menu there
https://yoast.com/social-media-optimization-with-yoast-seo/amp/

Thanks

Hi,

Seems to work now, that page looks like this for me – http://prntscr.com/l9don5

Shortcodes placed in text elements should work properly. There would be no other way of displaying them in pages built with the composer.

Thanks

Hi,

Maybe some theme users can share their experiences with menu plugins, we can’t make any recommendations for such plugins unfortunately.
Also you can make tests with multiple plugins until you find one that works best with the theme.

Thanks

Hi,

Can’t say I do, no tests were made with the plugin you mention. How is the data set to appear in the loop? The loop file is this one
https://www.screencast.com/t/MZk1W5E7mQ9
In similar topics where for example ads were inserted in the loop after a certain number of posts this had to be coded inside the loop itself
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-add-adsense-ad-after-5-10-articles-on-main-page/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/ads-on-category-between-posts/

The block settings guide should mention this, but at the time of making it there were no other row layouts except the ones I mentioned.
I will make a note of this however and it will be added in the block settings guide as soon as possible.

Hi,

There is a composer guide I can give you – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Pages can be edited with the composer from many places, easiest would be as you view the page logged as admin
https://www.screencast.com/t/Vka6GEaI
Once the composer launches you can make the modifications you want to the page. Here is a useful guide for blocks
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

It’s possible with the cloud post templates for post templates. The date can be displayed in a time ago format (for 7 days)
You can test this by previewing then editing a post template here
https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
https://www.screencast.com/t/5jK9ApgeYCN

For default post templates you could try with code like you mention and modify the template files. Check some online topics with ways to set a days limit
http://wpcrux.com/blog/wordpress-date-time-ago/
https://www.sitepoint.com/counting-the-ago-time-how-to-keep-publish-dates-fresh/

Also some forum topics – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/the-time-ago-in-block-3-is-correct-but-another-block-is-wrong-time/

Hi,

Then import or design your own post templates with the tagDiv composer and Cloud library plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Here you can test the cloud post templates and even edit them
https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
Import the ones you like, use them as they are or modify them in the composer. Or create your own with a blank template.

Default post templates can’t be edited with then composer so everything about their layout is fixed and predefined.

Hi,

I believe it will be added eventually in the pages or homepages section of the cloud library plugin.
You could copy the content from here in case you install the demo without content
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wish-about-the-demo/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/getting-started-from-demo-best-practises/

So the homepage for the gaming demo is here – https://www.screencast.com/t/ePeymfvqeE

Hi,

I also checked some posts from the website, they look alright to me
https://www.screencast.com/t/NRlUHQSCb4l
https://www.screencast.com/t/nqoIX1OA
https://www.screencast.com/t/L0scdr7dQcK
Do you still see a problem? Could be browser caching, try to force refresh the pages (should be Ctrl+Shift+R).

Thanks

Hi,

To what element did you anchor the link? If to a menu item, see this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/one-page-site/
Or this one where a link defined in the page content will smooth scroll to a set class in the same page
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/smooth-scrolling-html-menu/

Thanks

Hi,

That is because you use the optional mobile theme plugin. If the mobile plugin is not active, mega-menus will show as a drop down menu. If the mobile plugin is active they will not be converted to drop-down menus.

So you could deactivate the mobile plugin and the mega-menus will be displayed as drop down. Similar to the live theme demo on mobile.

Hi,

Try and use bigger images in size, then the thumbnails will be of better quality. Also the results in the post pages will be better for certain post templates where a bigger image is displayed.

So no need to use different images, use only one bigger in size. The theme will create thumbnails from it to display in blocks and grids

Hi,

I have to admit that I am no Google expert. So the problem is that Google is not displaying the articles you want in the search results? If that is the case, Google must be picking them for a reason.

The theme provides the required basic structured data but nothing else. There are plugins for adding additional data an rich snippets if needed. These would be necessary if you want to try and have more control, the theme has no settings in the matter.

Hi,

How are you testing the AMP posts and what exactly is happening after you try to access a AMP post page? If a 404 page is displayed, re-save the permalinks in WordPress settings. Let me know.

Hi,

Pressing the search icon returns javascript errors from what I can see, each press generates the same error
https://www.screencast.com/t/gFhctdwMKvb8
I tested on mobile, seems that after trying to use the search and pressing the icon a few times, I cannot scroll down, the website freezes.

Usually these conflicts are caused by plugins, theme modifications, code additions to the theme files, through a child theme or in the theme panel.

You could investigate these one at a time, try to remove custom code or scripts, deactivate all plugins except the theme plugins, deactivate the child theme etc.

Hi,

The Newsmag theme is not very flexible when it comes to full width results, rows used to build pages cannot be stretched for example.
Only the Newspaper theme allows wider layouts, has full width grids, has multi-purpose features etc. Some of the differences are mentioned here
https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-vs-newsmag-how-to-choose-the-perfect-wordpress-theme-for-your-project/
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi,

From what I can see it’s working at the moment, please see here
https://jotem.in/audio-video-show-2018-odwiedz-najwieksza-w-polsce-strefe-winyli/amp/
You can test AMP posts by adding /amp to the URL of a post.

There are some errors in the AMP posts, for example this auto ads code
https://www.screencast.com/t/LSoFj8PT3cBh
That has to be entered in the AMP header file
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/info-adv-amp/

Normal Adsense ad codes have to be entered like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/YpYDe7huyb
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7183212?hl=en

The more articles box is displayed in the bottom of the posts for some reason. Did you make any modifications to the main theme or the AMP plugin? If so please test without them. The more articles box should not be loaded in the AMP version.
Also, if you entered javascript code in the post content, please remove it and test again with the validator. Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except theme plugins and test
https://validator.ampproject.org/

Should be some positive results after trying these suggestions.

Thanks

That would require to detect mobile as well. Both solutions require that mobile is detected.

I made a quick test with the WordPress function mentioned above
https://www.screencast.com/t/jO9ZU21QO
So if is mobile show a number of products, if is not mobile show a different number, seems to work in my tests.
I get 9 products on desktop – https://www.screencast.com/t/iecjqw9FR
And 1 on mobile, as I set it – https://www.screencast.com/t/amrPLBemg

You could try something like this. First set a class to that single image element. Use “myclass” for example.
Then enter a code like this in the custom CSS section

html[class*=ie] .myclass {
margin-top:0!important;
}

It should apply only for IE browsers and remove that margin, with this result
http://prntscr.com/l90ko9
If you use a different class name, modify it in the code as well. Please check if this suggestion works.
