Hi,

Such plugins will probably not work with our theme, I made a few tests with the plugin you mention but had no success in making it work.

Note that our team is working on implementing such a featured in the theme itself, can’t say when it will be introduced however.

Thanks

Hi,

1. So the problem is with full grid 1, I made a test with it and disabled the author name and date in the theme panel. It looks like this for me
https://www.screencast.com/t/qs9jamCcT6
The module meta info container is there but not visible
https://www.screencast.com/t/nfFXdZdHXsx

I could take a look at the grid in your case, to see how this grey box you mention appears under the article title.

2/3 Are you using the latest WordPress version, theme, plugins etc? About that SEO plugin notice I can’t find much online, try to re-install it. Or turn off WP debug in the config file.

The other notice in the plugins section, there are some suggestions you can try
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-on-add-plugins-page-after-update/

Thanks

Hi,

Yes you can, activate the theme in the test environment then activate the theme in the live website. There will be no problem.

Hi,

So you selected module 4 for a category page
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/module-4-layout/

Module 4 is used in a couple of block, these ones
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-17/

Or you can use flex block 1, make it look like module 4
https://www.screencast.com/t/xthbOQJuF
The flex block is highly customizable and it can be made to look like module 4 in this case.

Thanks

Hi,

You simply have to edit the page with the composer and configure the social counter to display the socials you want
https://www.screencast.com/t/22GlwRtxr6aT
If the social counter is placed directly in the page it can be edited in the page. If it is in a widget sidebar, it can be edited in the widgets section.

Each social counter has to be configured with it’s information, they are not connected between them. So configuring one of them will not affect others.

Hi,

There is a setting for that in the Theme panel->Block settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/u6lsyB4RR6
There you can disable the author name for all the modules/block.

Thanks

Hi,

A first method to place ads in pages is to use the ad box element provided in the composer
https://www.screencast.com/t/4LCPkXYb
https://www.screencast.com/t/5sg0zniuQry
In an Ad box you can select from ad spots in which you entered ad codes. You can select from the custom ad spots and the sidebar ad. So if you have ad codes in those sections they will be displayed
https://www.screencast.com/t/RdYdifrG0P

Another method is to use a widget sidebar element
https://www.screencast.com/t/lg9DUisvapqT
Maybe you already have created sidebars containing ads and set them for posts. You can also set them for pages with the widget sidebar. In it you can choose from all your sidebars
https://www.screencast.com/t/hrl9rBGZ

Worth mentioning that if you select the latest articles template for a page
https://www.screencast.com/t/7M3xC7WNB
This section that displays your latest posts will appear at the bottom of the page, you can select a sidebar for it as well.

Please let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

So there is still a problem with the composer. You could try the solution mentioned in this topic, it worked for similar cases when the composer would not load
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/

Also could be caused by insufficient resources, this is a guide you can read
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
Setting a memory limit of 256M would be enough for most users.

In case the problem remains, you could try another suggestion. To eliminate a plugin being the cause, deactivate them all except theme plugins. Check if this has any effect.
Let us know the results after trying these suggestions.

Hi,

The last theme update was on the 10.08, there will be another update coming shortly. Please have a little more patience.

Our team is working hard in order to release a new theme update as soon as possible. Shouldn’t be long now. Sorry again for the inconvenience with the issue from above.

Hi,

As a first note, the mobile theme plugin is optional. You can find out more about it here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

1. Pages do work, it’s just that while the mobile theme is active you have to create two versions for each page. One with the composer or in any way possible with the theme, and one with the mobile editor and it’s simple capabilities
https://www.screencast.com/t/IJiXKgISxx
So this plugin would be used only if you intend to display a simpler and lighter version of the website on mobile. If not, deactivate it and the same content from desktop will show on mobile.

2. Currently categories will appear there even if they have no posts. I believe this might change in a future theme update. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi,

That would be a current issue with the composer, it is already fixed and the theme is going to be updated. A quick fix is provided in this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tagdiv-composer-and-apostrophes-in-text/
We are very sorry for this inconvenience.

You can use a <br> tag (or more) before the link – https://www.screencast.com/t/NGGxGb4nC

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

Hi,

That would be possible with the tagDiv composer. But you could also do that with some CSS in the Advanced CSS sections of the theme panel. In this example I used a code that will make the post title to have one size for desktop and a different one on mobile.
For example – https://www.screencast.com/t/FtI5BZBrz
https://www.screencast.com/t/KXe20qLZr
https://www.screencast.com/t/8V19sgOOn

With the browser inspector you can create the code and then enter it in the theme panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

Hi,

In the footer you can either choose from the predefined footer templates
https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Some have predefined content (your widgets will appear below this content) others are empty and will display only your widgets.

Or create a page containing the elements you want, then place it as a footer page
https://www.screencast.com/t/cEKzmEhcs
In this case you can simply design a page with the tagDiv composer and set it as mentioned.

Note that through the cloud library plugin you also have access to footer page templates
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
https://www.screencast.com/t/hfsfoH5bE
These templates can also be customized by you in the composer if needed.

Hi,

This topic is similar – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-options-2/
The server firewall or maybe a security plugin is blocking the theme from accessing the admin ajax file.
The hosting provider should be able to solve this problem, contact them and mention this to them.

Hi,

That would be the team member element, this does not have an option to set a link for the image used.
If you want to set a link to lead to a URL, you could create a HTML link in the description text
https://www.screencast.com/t/bNi46YVg

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

Yes you can, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and also provide admin login so we can take a look. Mention where the problems can be seen. Please include a link to this topic in the email.

ads - reply

I checked quite a few posts from your website, the ads appeared in all of them

Hi,

Change the line height besides the font size – https://www.screencast.com/t/LWaSCNV1p
Default settings are these – https://www.screencast.com/t/TnaPJCzKy

Note that not all the settings are per view port, some are general and will apply at all times.
The block title colors are general, you could use some CSS to set a block title color for mobile only if you want that.
For example with a custom class so you can target a specific block
https://www.screencast.com/t/ggknGLusIy0v
https://www.screencast.com/t/L7ipDFRiY0LN

Hi,

You mean the post author name? That will be displayed in modules and the post page when enabled in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/GiV79r5IT2xs
https://www.screencast.com/t/7seifkNzjE
It will appear in other various places as well. If there is a problem in your case, please post a link to your website and details about this issue. I will take a look.

Thanks

You can stretch the row containing the single image to full width
https://www.screencast.com/t/qZHCVTccFgsq
Note that it will not stretch if there is a general background set, from what I can see you have a white background color currently. Having a background will make the website boxed, so please remove it
https://www.screencast.com/t/1OhupIJCDIw
Then the rows will stretch.

Hi,

Sub-categories will be ordered alphabetically and the theme does not have a setting to change this.
However you could try the Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order plugin, that should allow you to change the default order of the categories
https://wordpress.org/plugins/taxonomy-terms-order/

Thanks

Simion C.

Hi,

Could be caused by insufficient resources, there is a guide you can follow
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Check if anything needs to be increased.

Also try the same thing with all your plugins deactivated as a quick test, leave only theme plugins active. This will help identify if a plugin is responsible.

If there is still a problem, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can take a look. Please include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

That is not possible unfortunately, the mobile menu is created and designed to be displayed only on phones (smaller viewports).
The mobile menu also does not show mega-menus. Even if it would be made to appear on larger viewports by modifications it will not be a pleasant user experience with it’s mobile intended functionality.

I believe there will be improvements to the current header styles in the future, to make them more customizable.
