Hi,
I can see that there are two hreflang attributes in the source of your website. One is loaded in the header
– https://www.screencast.com/t/s2WWwj7fh9l
Another one is loaded by a “DCGWS” – https://www.screencast.com/t/oYFgdPhjN0CF
I don’t know what that is.
From what I can find online the hreflang is useful when the same content is created in multiple languages, used in a multilingual website
– https://yoast.com/hreflang-ultimate-guide/
Hi,
You could try some other solutions if that does not work with our theme. This seems to work
– https://gist.github.com/ccurtin/6491e5132bc57f6cf979
Thanks
Hi,
That error you are getting is in most cases related to a plugin. Try as a quick test to deactivate all your plugins (except theme plugins), check if this solves the problem.
Also make sure that the theme system status is configured as mentioned in the requirements guide. Please follow the guide carefully
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If there is still a problem, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
Using a default category template a background for the category pages can be set in the theme panel, per category settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/6f0gMggNP64B
A thing to note here is that all the posts that have the category as primary will inherit the background, more about that here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
In case you use a cloud category template, a background can be set as well in the per category settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fL4WnP8yWEg
You can also choose from boxed or full background in this case.
If this is not what you are referring to, more details would be very helpful.
Thanks
I see these ads – https://www.screencast.com/t/GY6gwfjOjb
– https://www.screencast.com/t/P5NEES9J
So there is a header ad, a top and bottom article ads and a footer ad.
No updates I can provide unfortunately, it is on our list and it will be looked over. In the topic you provided from the webmaster forums seems that other users with various themes and plugins suffer from the same problem with Google+, so it would not be specific to this theme.
Also from what I read 404 errors do not affect ranking in Google or indexing

Hi,
@Lorentz Yeung So you changed the excerpt type to letters, then customized each module to your liking in terms of length, and it’s not working
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gm7aXEhFtR
Please provide an example of this. A screenshot with the settings in the theme panel with the module where you customized the excerpts, and a link to the page where the module/block is displayed.
Or send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Mention the page where this is happening so we can test, and other relevant details if there are more.
Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
So you mean this one – https://www.screencast.com/t/YfWGsuGBOVxd
That whole sharing section seems to be added there by the social warfare plugin you have installed.
Maybe that plugin has settings to control the positioning of the sharing buttons, the theme has no control over it.
Or you could try other plugins which can add a Pin options for images. Some topics I found here
– https://wplift.com/pinterest-pin-it-buttons
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-pinterest-pin-it-button-in-your-wordpress-blog/
Hi,
There were no changes made to the custom code sections in the last updates. Valid code will work same as before.
That code seems broken however – https://www.screencast.com/t/f3dRLkoUl0E
All that section does is to output the code you enter, it will not be modified in any way, so if it’s valid it will work.
Thanks
This is a related topic you can follow, it contains information about translating the footer text
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/translate-newsmag-footer/#post-193130
Hi,
If the image is used in the post content in the full size, the original image would be needed. Or as a full size background for various elements.
There could be other instances where the full image is needed, but you could give that plan a try however and see what happens.
I even found a plugin for this task specifically (kind of outdated), could be others
– https://wordpress.org/plugins/delete-original-image/
Thanks
Hi,
Is it entered in the custom code section at the moment? It’s not loaded from what I can see. Try it with important
.td-header-top-menu-full {
margin-bottom: 50px!important;
}
Also maybe clear your cache after entering it.
Hi,
@MESOTU Our composer is a front-end drag and drop page builder. If you decide that this is not helpful for you or you prefer a backend solution, you could use WPBakery.
Worth noting that most new features/options and the ones to come will not work with WPBakery, they are created specifically for the tagDiv composer. The cloud library plugin also works only with our builder.
Thanks
Hi,
Try some lazy-load plugins, check some free ones to begin with
– https://wpdean.com/wordpress-lazy-load-plugins/
The theme lazy-load may not be the best at the moment, it will be improved in a future update. Disable it and try some plugins, then test again.
Hi,
That is a png image, you can’t add more to it. It contains all the included flags, the same image is set as background for all the currencies
– https://www.screencast.com/t/avVGo4QRBdky
Using a different background position the appropriate flag is displayed next to each currency. There are no other icons created for other currencies unfortunately.
Maybe consider using an exchange plugin if you need more currencies, try some free ones
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-add-a-currency-converter-in-wordpress/
– https://www.formget.com/currency-converter-wordpress-plugins/
Thanks
The theme will add the required basic schema, you can test this with the Google tool
– https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/prototype
– https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/
Depending on the content you create, if you require additional schema information you can use a plugin or other methods
– https://torquemag.io/2016/12/schema-markup-wordpress/
What you did solved the problem, the search is working now
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Kc536J6nZl
Hi,
So you want to translate the titles of the widgets? That can be done through WPML. If you already scanned the theme for strings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gKGXQjdgNQ
Select the Newspaper theme in WPML settings and the strings will appear
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TkC2ojLm
You could also use the po files from here according to the needed languages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EZQCNYgvEO
– https://www.screencast.com/t/htkyQFcjtst
You can also create and set footer pages by language, related topic here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/translation-of-footer-pager-does-not-work/
Thanks
Hi,
Which button are you referring to exactly? I can’t seem to see this button you mention in your website. Some more details would be very helpful.
The multi-purpose plugin was removed and included in the tagDiv composer plugin, this happened in theme update 8.7.5, please check the changelog at the bottom of this page
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cql6czdT
So no need to keep trying to activate the plugin if you use a theme version newer than 8.7.5, the multi-purpose plugin and the tagDiv composer were combined. All the multi-purpose options are now part of the tagDiv composer.
Seems I didn’t see that happening when I tested. The code you mention worked, the problem is solved.
It may have ended up in spam, all emails are answered as soon as possible, within the same day ideally. Try to resend the email, remember to include a link to this topic so we can identify it.
There is a solution you can try first, which worked in many similar cases where using the tagDiv composer resulted in a blank page, you could give it a try if possible
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
Chances are adding this code to the htaccess file will solve the blank page issue.
It’s the same for me, if the retina thumbnails are enabled they will be displayed in the flex block modules.
I will add this on our list and it will be looked over as soon as possible. The flex blocks will receive more options over future updates, maybe even the capability to choose from all the thumbnails the theme creates.
Sorry for this inconvenience, a solution will be found in these matters.
Something must have happened with the database, I can’t find much online about this problem.
From I did find, The Not unique table/alias regarding the wpxp_postmeta database table could mean there are two of them for some reason. If you have a database administrator he could take a look, should know more about it.
If you did something before the issue started happening, like installing a plugin or adding various codes, try to test without them.
It does appear twice indeed, is the plugin compatible with AMP? Also from what I can see while testing with a mobile, the player it ads does not work in the AMP version.
