Hi,

That is how it it supposed to be, the span allows for design to be created for the views
https://www.screencast.com/t/ibgwxfMKsEcg
This is defined here – https://www.screencast.com/t/Myu2JQuJ

Thanks

Hi,

You can deactivate the plugin if you don’t want to use it. The plugin is optional. You can install and activate it in the future if you should need it. Any templates you created so far will should not be removed.

Thanks

Hi,

That would be unusual. The homepage you set in WordPress settings should be displayed
https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
We could take a look, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

So above a row like this – http://prntscr.com/k7iful
You want to add a row with two columns. Use an inner row for example, split it in 2 columns
http://prntscr.com/k7igkf

If you want to slide text, then only with a plugin you could do that. At the moment there is no element for that specifically.

Thanks

Hi,

Try to disable the sharing that displays below the post, I believe that is an option of Jetpack. Check if that solves the problem.

You can use the Woocommerce plugin if you intend to create a shop page and add products. That would be the most popular plugin. This is the documentation for it
https://docs.woocommerce.com/

Check the forum as well, there are many useful topics you can read
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-display-products/

Don’t know about Amazon links or anything like that, better you search for this online how it is done.

Hi,

That modification is for the single post page, modules will not be affected. If you want the same for modules, you will have to edit the modules you use
https://www.screencast.com/t/HrJzMjSKEiVp

Either in the main theme or do it in a child theme. Something like this should work for example, give it a try

<?php echo get_the_modified_date('F j, Y g:i a', $this->post->ID); ?>

Thanks

Hi,

Adding a big grid in a row is possible, a single condition would be that the row is not split in any way. Big grids can only be placed in full rows.

Blocks can be placed in most layouts, for the best results these row splits should be used
https://www.screencast.com/t/u2V648UjT
The other layouts would be more suited for multi-purpose elements for example.

So you can split the row as you want and place the elements as you wish.

I don’t quite understand what you want to do there, some more details would be helpful. I see a row with a block in the left column, and social counter plus widget sidebar on the right.
The news ticker can slide only posts, not text. For that you could try some text slider plugins and implement the element by shortcode if possible. Shortcodes can be entered in text elements, like the column text for example.

Hi,

I see the post appears in the top grid – http://prntscr.com/k7h9q9
Also in the category page – http://prntscr.com/k7h9x9

So the problem would be only with that block for some reason. The block displays posts as late as 14 may, and you have posts after that date in the category page. The block displays old posts, not the latest. Check what sorting is used for the block.

I see you also have caching, try as well to clear the cache. Check if this has any effect.

Hi,

From theme panel excerpt settings you can customize the excerpt length for modules that display it, not enable it for modules that do not show an excerpt.
You can see for example how all the theme blocks look here
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
Some of their modules display excerpts others do not.

The modules can be modified through a child theme, they are supported
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
This is a topic that might be of use to you if you want to modify some modules
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/adding-tags-and-excerpt/

You could also experiment with the flex blocks, these have settings to enable/disable the excerpts
https://www.screencast.com/t/uY9fNpC2j5
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/
Also they are highly customizable in terms of layout and style, so you could make a flex block look in many ways.

Hi,

I don’t understand exactly what the problem is. I see the website looks fine at the moment
http://prntscr.com/k7h111
Please try and provide some more details about the issue you are having. The theme can be activated with the registration key provided after you purchase the theme, it is a simple but necessary process.

Hi,

The theme by itself does not have a tracking capability for links. You could try some plugins for that, for example
https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-track-outbound-links-in-wordpress/
https://www.greengeeks.com/tutorials/article/how-to-track-external-links-in-wordpress/

Hi,

Module 10 uses this thumbnail size – https://www.screencast.com/t/wzCxMiIO
So all of the thumbnails should be of the same size. Please check the regeneration guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Check the theme system status to see if the GD library is active on your server
https://www.screencast.com/t/tKbwrzh6kx

If there is no problem in that regard and a regeneration does not solve the issue, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. We will take a look. Please also include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately we have not made any tests for compatibility with the plugin you mention. The theme works best and should be used with self published content, posts created normally and published. Any auto post plugins or implementations may not work at all or provide some incompatibility issues.
Premium themes are build with custom coding, so not all plugins may work. This the case in general.

Thaks

Hi,

The latest theme version is 8.8.2, please check the changelog section here (bottom of the page) for more information about the update
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
https://www.screencast.com/t/bECJJnbqiP

I can confirm that those elements you mention do not appear for pages now
https://www.screencast.com/t/JcYWMABRF
They were supposed to appear for category templates, tag templates, etc not simple pages. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi,

We have not made any testing with that tool maybe we will at some point. You could find some general tips or tutorials online
https://yoast.com/google-lighthouse/
https://www.ricemedia.co.uk/blog/use-google-lighthouse-report-improve-page-speed/
See what areas could be improved and try to do it.

Hi,

What exactly do you mean by that? That would happen if you use a latest sorting, from the category/categories you set. The posts will be ordered by publish date.

Thanks

Simion C.

Hi,

What exactly do you mean by that? That anyone that visits the website can edit your posts? That would be a major problem if it happens for you. By default WordPress posts can only be modified from the backend post edit screen, by a logged user (author role and above).

If that is really happening for you, I suggest you check your plugins, WordPress modifications etc.

Thanks

@Karsten Albrektsen Each block, grid, full grid displays the thumbnail/image differently. This depends on image aspect ration and module used
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-vs-featured-image-size/
Try different grids until you get the result you want and is best for the images you use as featured.

Hi,

Please be sure to check the theme requirements guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient WP-memory for example could cause 500 errors. If needed contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase/activate those parameters.

After making modifications where required, try to activate the theme again. Let us know.

Hi,

For single post pages here – https://www.screencast.com/t/UBBqRZai

Hi,

Those are two different blocks, how they look is predefined
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-9/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-11/
Block 9 does not display an excerpt if that is what you are referring to. The easiest way to achieve that layout would be to use the flex block

Hi,

That code works, see here – https://www.screencast.com/t/Hm6dqOWd5bwO
There would be no need to change it if it works. Maybe clear your cache or browser cache.

Hi,

That is not a block, that is the header ad spot. More about that here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/

The header ad may display differently depending on header style used
https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/

You can see all the blocks, grids, full grids etc in the theme live demo. Check the Features menu item here
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
