Hi,

Before the recent theme updates it was possible to modify the single template files in a child theme, and make the modification there. But now the single template files are in the tagDiv composer plugin – http://prntscr.com/oa14e0
It is possible to modify them there, but the modifications will be lost after a theme update.

However you could use a cloud post template – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
Import/create a cloud post template and apply it to the posts. These templates can be edited with the composer, and also have a modified date element available
http://prntscr.com/oa15wo

Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

That is possible if needed, just don’t use both of them on the same page.

I should note that some elements won’t be available in the composer when WPBakery is active. Elements such as the single image, column text, widget sidebar and a few others. This was intended as a way to avoid conflicts between the two composers, but it may change in future updates if a different solution is found.

Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

By a theme or block setting it is not possible. However I could give you a CSS code for it, for example – http://prntscr.com/o9w1so
This code will apply to the flex blocks in the homepage only, I could modify it if needed.
It can be entered in the theme panel custom CSS section

.home .td_flex_block_1 {
counter-reset: module;
}
.home .td_flex_block_1 .td_module_flex_1:after {
counter-increment: module;
content:counter(module);
position: absolute;
top: 0;
right: 20px;
color: white;
padding: 5px 10px;
background-color: rgba(25,27,26,0.5);
}

Let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

Please activate the tagDiv composer plugin, this is a required plugin. You can install and activate it in the theme plugins panel – http://prntscr.com/o9vqc4
Then the install demos option will be available – http://prntscr.com/o9vqml

Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

Some examples would be very helpful. If possible please post a link to where the issue is happening, so I can inspect the images. Let me know.

Hi,

It may happen with private videos for example. If the videos are public they should appear in the playlist when their ID is entered – http://prntscr.com/o9vn1d
Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

I could give you a code for it, like this for example – http://prntscr.com/o9vg85
You can modify the margin value if you want, then enter the code in the theme panel custom CSS code section

.id_inline_ad_content-horiz-center {
margin-bottom: 26px;
}

Thanks

Hi,

That is what I suggested above – https://prnt.sc/nztn70 enter the ad code like that and it will work fine – http://prntscr.com/o9vb08
Also there will be no validation errors – http://prntscr.com/o9vb5v

Should happen by next week, but I really can’t say for sure. However I can provide a solution to this issue. The file where the problem is, is this one
http://prntscr.com/o9v51r

Depending of what is easier to do for you, either replace the file by deleting it and uploading this one – http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/menu-mobile.zip
(unzip it and then upload it).

Or edit the file in question and remove all the code in it, then enter this one
https://pastebin.com/smh8hy9P

Please try it and the problem should be solved. In the next theme update it will be fixed by default. Let me know, and sorry again for the inconvenience.

Hi,

@CRiTiCAL
That won’t work in a child theme. Currently the only way of loading code in the mobile header is to manually add it in the file mentioned above. I will make a note of this and it will be considered to add a field for it in the theme panel mobile theme settings.

@Jose
That is an interesting suggestion, so something to allow the user to enable/disable the mobile theme for all the categories, posts, pages etc. There will be an option to choose for which pages or posts the mobile theme applies specifically, as an option in the edit screen. I will add this suggestion and it will be strongly considered by our developer team. Thank you for mentioning it.

In the coming theme updates there will be quite a few options added for the mobile theme. These are currently in work, some in testing. All suggestions are welcome. Please let us know if you have more suggestions.

Hi,

@ScottLehane
Using cloud post templates the source and via elements already have a setting to open in a new tab – http://prntscr.com/o9up4whttp://prntscr.com/o9upev
You could use that setting if you want the links set for he post source and via to open in a new tab.
If you have more questions let us know.

Hi,

I modified that code, so now the top menu appears on mobile – http://prntscr.com/o9j62r
If you want to use the sticky code from above as well, the result will be like this, on sticky mode – http://prntscr.com/o9j6h8

Here is the code

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
text-align: center;
}
.td-wpml .menu-top-container .top-header-menu > li {
display:inline-block;
}
.td-wpml .menu-top-container .top-header-menu > li a {
margin-right: 16px;
}
.body-td-affix .td-header-top-menu-full {
position:fixed;
top:54px;
}}

If needed I could modify this code. Let me know.

I should note that with the cloud header templates you can design the header on both desktop and mobile, both default mode and sticky mode. These are templates built by us that can be imported and modified if needed
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
You can also build your own using a blank header template – http://prntscr.com/o8vge6
Here are some articles – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
https://tagdiv.com/header-main-menu-newspaper-theme/
And a guide about the cloud plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Hi,

It could happen if WPBakery is also active. It will also affect the containers used by the tagDiv composer. Are you using WPBakery as well? Would it be possible to deactivate it or it’s required for you that is is active? Let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

Maybe the posts that appear like in the screenshot do not have a featured image set, and also the placeholder is disabled in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/o9eto4
Currently I see the grid looks alright – http://prntscr.com/o9etya

If it happens again, check if the post that appears out of place has a featured image set. or activate the placeholders in the theme panel.
Note that you can now set a custom placeholder, if there are posts that have no featured image and you do not want or it’s not possible to set a featured image for them
http://prntscr.com/o9ex27

Hi,

That would be the case, the theme should be used where possible with PHP up to 7.2. Our developer team as far as I know haven’t begun to test with higher versions. Maybe there is no actual problem caused by using 7.3, but I can’t say for sure unfortunately.

If everything so far works properly despite those notices, and you cannot change the PHP version even if you want to, then the only way is to keep using PHP 7.3. Hopefully we will also begin testing and officially support it.

Thanks

Hi,

So the problem is that you cannot edit the post content. I see that the latest theme version is used, also the latest WordPress. Does it happen with both Gutenberg and the classic editor?
What PHP version is the server using? Please check in the theme system status panel
http://prntscr.com/o9eaaj
If it’s using an older version, there could be various problems. We recommend PHP 7, 7.1 or 7.2 if possible.

We could also take a closer look at it, on our end it works just fine. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Please include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

1. Currently there is an issue like the one you mention, the post templates don’t apply properly when the child theme is active. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme for the time being. This problem will be fixed for the next theme update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

2. The tagDiv gallery can be used in Gutenberg, but through a classic element
http://prntscr.com/o9dxumhttp://prntscr.com/o9dyk9http://prntscr.com/o9dz2o
Please try it like this and it should work fine.

3. Custom post types will not have the same settings as default posts. They can’t use the same templates, settings etc. Before the recent updates it was possible to create a template for theme within a child theme, based on the predefined post templates (1->13). But now that is not possible anymore because the post template files were moved in the tagDiv composer plugin. We will try to find a solution in this matter.
There aren’t many settings for CPT and taxonomies, in the composer as well. Most of the options and settings are created to work with default posts and categories.
So having the same possibilities for CPT is not possible.

Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Can’t say exactly. There are a few issues that have to be fixed and tested first, also including some very useful new features and options that will be added in the next update. The update will be released as soon as these tasks are finished, shouldn’t be long now if something unexpected doesn’t happen.
Sorry again for this inconvenience.

Hi,

1. Looks fine now, AMP seems to work – http://prntscr.com/o9d5rs
I tested with the AMP test tool, there is an error related to auto-ads
http://prntscr.com/o9d6k0

If you want to use AMP auto ads, please enter the auto ads code like this in the theme panel dedicated section – http://prntscr.com/nztn70 and there should be no problem. No need to do or add anything else, just the ad code as mentioned.
In their documentation they mention to add a script in the head
https://amp.dev/documentation/components/amp-auto-ads but this is not required, the theme will add it automatically.

2. Don’t know what could be the problem with the theme in this matter. The result I get on your end is the same as mine – http://prntscr.com/o9dg5n and the same if I switch to a default wordpress theme – http://prntscr.com/o9dgfo
There is a tester in this guide, try testing the website with it
https://kinsta.com/blog/wordpress-xml-rpc/https://xmlrpc.eritreo.it/

5. You can do it by editing the post and setting the containers around the needed text, for example – http://prntscr.com/o9diz7

If you have more questions let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

So you want to modify the datemodified meta from the theme? That is defined in this file, in the composer plugin – http://prntscr.com/o9d0wf maybe you can do what you want there. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

The blocks, grids and other elements in the page look empty, as if there is no content. Do you maybe use a plugin for multiple languages? If so what plugin are you using?

From what I see the main language is French and there is content in this language
http://prntscr.com/o8yzou
But the English version of the page doesn’t have any content it seems
http://prntscr.com/o8z1a0
So it will be empty. Please check if there are translated posts or content created in English as well. Despite maybe looking fine in the composer, the end page looks like there are no posts to display.

Thanks

I tried it on my end but can’t seem to see an issue with it. The posts with no featured image will load the custom thumb – http://prntscr.com/o8ytgi
http://prntscr.com/o8yto1
While for the other posts that have a featured image set like this
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
The module will show a thumb from the featured image – http://prntscr.com/o8yuor
http://prntscr.com/o8yuwa

If possible please provide some more details about this issue, I will test again. details and a link to the website would be helpful. Let me know. If there is an issue with we will fix it.

Hi,

The size of the adsense ads aren’t supposed to be similar to the theme blocks that display posts. Google provides specific sizes by default, these would be the most successful sizes according to them – https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/6002621?hl=en

You could try to create a custom ad size – https://www.shoutmeloud.com/adsense-custom-ad-unit-size.html
https://www.labnol.org/internet/adsense-custom-size-ads/28352/
Then enter the code in the theme panel and check if it appears as needed.

Thanks

Seems I didn’t see that font there, sorry for that. I have set it for an element to see if it applies, seems it does not for me. I did some research and found that the Helvetica font and all related families are available for use only by purchasing them
https://fonts.google.com/?query=helvetica
So it is not a free font for all to use, like other Google fonts
https://fonts.google.com/

Maybe you could use a different similar font in this case
https://www.typewolf.com/top-10-helvetica-alternatives
If you want to do this and the font is not available in the theme panel, you can load it and apply it as mentioned above.

Hi,

As long as the link to the AMP variant is the page source, Google should be able to identify that there is AMP available – http://prntscr.com/o8wknl

Maybe it would disappear if there are validation problems with it, but from what I can see the page is perfectly valid – http://prntscr.com/o8wnzt and it is picked up by Google as intended
http://prntscr.com/o8wp7i

Thanks
