Hi,

Did you recently update the theme to the latest version? If so, from what version did you update? Please make sure you update all the theme plugins.

Note that the 9,7 update was a major update, it consists of modifications to the theme file structure, most of the files are now in the tagDiv composer plugin. Here is an article about the changes made and why they were made – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/

From what I can see currently the mobile theme is not active, and the website works fine using the latest theme version 9.7.3. While there are some issues in this update, with the mobile theme there should be none. So it is unusual that in your case simply activating the mobile theme plugin is causing problems.

If you want us to take a look at this issue, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel. Please include a link to this topic in the email.

Regarding the multi-purpose plugin, this plugin was merged with the tagDiv composer quite a while back – http://prntscr.com/o8wi1l so please delete it. The changelog for each version can be seen at the bottom of this page
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609

Let us know.
Thanks

Hi,

It is the general modal image option in the theme panel post settings that causes it, we are aware of the issue. There have been other users mentioning the problem and we are investigating it. When this issue and others than had happened after the previous update will be fixed, a theme update will be released. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi,

Regarding the login/join not being displayed on mobile in the responsive version, there is unfortunately an issue currently in the theme. It happened after the previous update. We are sorry for the inconvenience, this issue will be fixed in the next theme update. Please let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

I don’t quite understand what you want to do, some more details would be helpful if possible. The theme will use the time zone and format you set in the wordpress settings
http://prntscr.com/o8vmfn
It won’t interfere with this or does it have any dedicated settings created for it.

Thanks

Hi,

You can always create new topics in the forum, we will try to help as best we can and as soon as possible.

1. If you mean the user registration, that is not enabled for the live demos. There would be no point to allow visitors to create accounts in a demo website.
If you would like to provide the user registration (membership) for your website, you can do so in the WordPress general settings – http://prntscr.com/o8v8qb then WordPress will allow visitors to create accounts – http://prntscr.com/o8v92k and the theme will display it as well – http://prntscr.com/o8v9h2
The theme login modal window will display the same information from the default WordPress login screen. It is basically the same screen and functionality but with some style added.

2. That is how the mobile theme works. The mobile version of pages will not be the same as the desktop version. This is explained in the guide – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
So while the desktop page can be built with the composer, and contain blocks, grids etc. the mobile version is limited to the mobile editor – http://prntscr.com/o8vbaq
If a page contains no content in the mobile editor, on phones it will be empty when the mobile theme is active.

The homepage on mobile displays a top grid with featured posts
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Then there will be a latest articles section. If you enter content in the mobile editor for the homepage, it will be displayed between those 2 sections.

If you want to see see how the mobile theme looks and works, please check this demo with a phone, it has the plugin active – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/

Displaying a slider in mobile pages is possible, you can enter the slider shortcode in the mobile editor, similar topic here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-want-to-put-silder-revolution-logo-carousel-in-mobile-theme/

3. It is possible to create the mobile menu, but only if the mobile theme is disabled. Using cloud templates it is possible to design the desktop and mobile headers. These are templates built by us that can be imported and modified if needed
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
You can also build your own using a blank header template – http://prntscr.com/o8vge6
Here are some articles – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
https://tagdiv.com/header-main-menu-newspaper-theme/
And a guide about the cloud plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

If you have more questions, or if I misunderstood something, let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

There is an issue currently, when the child theme is active the post templates won’t apply properly. For the time being it would be better to try and not use the child theme. This issue and a few others that happened after the 9.7.3 update will be fixed in the next theme update. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

If you have more questions let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

What you are describing (I can’t see the website, seems to be down at the moment
http://prntscr.com/o7si1f) is the latest articles section, it will always appear at the bottom of the page after your own content, when the needed page template is selected for the page
https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
The latest articles can also have a widget sidebar set. The settings for it are here in the composer – http://prntscr.com/nwzs8g
Or here in the backend – http://prntscr.com/nwzsn3

If you don’t want to display this section, select a different page template, like the default page template for example.

Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

The tech demo logo psd file is in the theme package – http://prntscr.com/o7sfu5
Most of the demo related psd files are located there. Please let us know if you have more questions.

There is a way. In order to be able to apply a font with CSS, it has to be loaded first. Currently the Helvetica font is not set for any element in the website, so it isn’t loaded. From what I can see it isn’t even available in the font selection drop-down in the theme panel.

Custom fonts can be loaded in the theme panel, there are 5 spots available
http://prntscr.com/o7s3y0
Or they can be loaded with CSS in the custom CSS section.

https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/

So you could download the respective font, it should be available online. If it doesn’t come with a woff format, there are converters online as well (font converter to woff).

Once converted, upload it in the theme panel. Then it will be loaded by the theme. So after doing this now the font can be applied with CSS
This code should apply the font for the category description (if the font family name is Helvetica – http://prntscr.com/o7sbfh )

.category .td-category-description p {
font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
}

Let me know if you need help, or you have more questions.
Thanks

AMP - reply

Glad it helped. With the mobile theme + AMP the analytics and AMP ads will be loaded.
You can test the AMP version by adding /?amp at the end of the URL, while using the browser inspector mobile emulator for example – http://prntscr.com/o7rzm1
The auto ads should appear when testing with the mobile emulator, they may not appear while testing on desktop.

Hi,

I found some solutions online, can’t say if they will work or not unfortunately
https://gulshankumar.net/setup-lazy-loading-google-adsense-ad-units/
https://technosmarter.com/js/google-ads-load-after-page-has-loaded.php
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25877461/load-google-ads-after-entire-page-has-loaded
Maybe these topics are helpful for what you are trying to do.

Hi,

Now there is an option to set a custom placeholder image, in the theme panel. This will replace the default placeholder images. The setting is in the block settings section
http://prntscr.com/o7rq9u
So for example this post that has no featured image will use the custom placeholder set in the panel- http://prntscr.com/o7rqe5http://prntscr.com/o7rqie
http://prntscr.com/o7rqmx

If you have more questions let me know.

Hi,

I have seen this in a few cases, it is happening because of the new WPBakery update 6.0.3.

We recommend to not update the plugin where possible (purchased premium plugin) until we include the update along theme updates
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

The version of WPBakery currently included in the latest theme package is 6.0.2. Please try to use this version and there should be no problem. Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

The composer can be used for pages and for cloud templates. Now there are cloud templates for most wordpress templates: post, category, author, tag, archive, search etc.

Here you can see the cloud templates designed by us
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/
These can be imported with the cloud library plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Once you create or import a cloud post template and apply it, you can use the edit template button in the admin bar. The default post templates can’t be edited with the composer.

So for example if you would like to use a cloud post template, first import one, or create a new one entirely using a blank template – http://prntscr.com/o7rlbz
Then set it for the posts you want.

Let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

That will require a modification in file located in the composer plugin. The default limit is set to 1000 categories, which would be considered enough for most cases. You could modify it here
http://prntscr.com/o7rgnj
Note that the modification will be lost after a theme update, when the theme plugins are updated as well.

Thanks

Hi,

That isn’t a border, from what I can see it is a row with an inner row in it inside the cloud post template. This inner row contains a page title (post title in this case)
http://prntscr.com/o7r4r0

Due to the inner row being set with position absolute it’s height is affected
http://prntscr.com/o7r4zr
I have deactivated the absolute position, now you can select it better and do what you want with the row in question.

Thanks

The child theme is limited after the latest updates. It contains the required files (stylesheet and functions) that you can use if needed. But now copying theme files in it won’t be possible anymore, because the files are in the composer plugin.
You could modify them in the legacy folder directly, but the modifications will be lost after theme updates, when the themes are updated.

Maybe what you are trying to do is possible in a different way however. Please provide some more details about it.

Hi,

There are a few cases when that error may appear. If the page you are trying to edit has not been built with the tagDiv composer, or contains elements that were added by other means in it (in the backend of the page for example), or it could be caused by plugins
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/

Does the issue happen if you edit a new page, or just for specific page or pages? We could take a look at it, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login and some mode details if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

What files are you modifying exactly? Note that after the recent updates most of the theme files were moved in the tagDiv composer plugin – http://prntscr.com/o7bm1p
Those are the files that are used when the tagDiv composer is active.

If you could mention what you want to do, I will try to help you. Let me know.

Hi,

The footer text and copyright can be translated. For WPML it can be done as mentioned in this similar topic containing some useful screenshots
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newsmag-widgets-not-working-with-translations-wpml/

Basically first you have to access the WPML string translations
http://prntscr.com/o7bccx
Then locate the td_011 field (this is the theme) and open it. In it you can find the footer text and copyright fields – http://prntscr.com/o7bf6v now check them and hit apply
http://prntscr.com/o7bfpt
Now you can translate the strings as needed, for each language.

If you have more questions let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

The predefined grids have 7 styles available, for example
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
The colors used there can’t be changed by a setting, I could provide you with the required CSS to change theme, depending on what you want to do. Mention for which grid style you want to do this.

I should note that flex big grids have options to set an overlay color or gradient for the modules, for example – http://prntscr.com/o7b8vx

Let me know.

AMP - reply

Hi,

1. If you are referring to the AMP analytics field provided in the mobile theme section, the code has to be of this form – http://prntscr.com/o7avde
So if your initial code looks like this – http://prntscr.com/o7axbr enter just the highlighted part of the code, it should work fine.

2. No need to enter the header script code, it will be added automatically. Simply enter the AMP auto ads code in the provided section. Example – http://prntscr.com/o7ayvx
The ads should appear after a while.

Thanks

Hi,

Most of the theme strings can be translated in the theme panel translation setting. The news ticker title can be customized there as well – http://prntscr.com/o7asf7 Simply change it as you want and save.

Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
