These would be all the settings provided by the theme for breadcrumbs, when using the predefined post templates – https://forum.tagdiv.com/breadcrumbs/
In cloud post templates there are some more settings available – http://prntscr.com/oavfn2
Here you can see could post templates designed by us, but users can create their own using a blank template – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
The cloud templates can be imported wit the cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Hi,
The cache is usually cleared when a new page or post is published, so the content remains fresh. Or when comments are made for a post or page.
For me it says updated 14 hours ago in the sidebar – http://prntscr.com/oav0yc
It is true that caching can cause such issues. You could clear the cache each time you update the widgets (if this is done manually), but this would be somewhat inconvenient.
You could try what is suggested in the advanced panel of the super cache plugin
– http://prntscr.com/oavani
Then check the same way to see if the situation improves.
Thanks
Hi,
Looks like the block is empty, but there are posts in the “blog” category from what I can see. They should be displayed.
Do you use caching? if you do, try to clear it, then check again. Let me know.
Thanks
Glad to help. Regarding the font, I still see this font family set to load
– http://prntscr.com/oaudqx
If you have changed the font in the composer – http://prntscr.com/oaue6i it should be seen on the front end. Could be a caching issue if you use one, maybe try to clear it then check again.
If you want us to take a closer look at it, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let me know.
If you want to try the template I mentioned above, all you have to do is to edit the page and select it, then save/update the page.
It can be set either in the backend of the page – http://prntscr.com/oau7fx
Or while editing it with the composer – http://prntscr.com/oau7qv
The result after applying the page template will be something like this
– http://prntscr.com/oau7zn
In case I misunderstand what you want to do, or you have more questions, let me know.
Hi,
Note that the 9.7 update was a major update, it consists of modifications to the theme file structure, most of the files are now in the tagDiv composer plugin. Here is an article about the changes made and why they were made – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
The loop single files are now here – http://prntscr.com/oau433 and the page templates here
– http://prntscr.com/oau4p0
Modifying these files in a child theme will not work anymore unfortunately.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Maybe something like that will be available in the future, can’t say for sure. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi,
Maybe what you are looking for is the menu overlay page template
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
When this template is set for a page, the header will be transparent and displayed over the top part of the page, for example
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_nature/news/
You could try this page template, see how it looks. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
The excerpt font and font properties can be changed in general, in the theme panel
– http://prntscr.com/oaj72k
Or you can change them for specific modules in the composer. For example
– http://prntscr.com/oaj7z1
The font settings made in the composer will have priority over the general settings in the theme panel.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Thank you for the kind words, we will try to help as much as possible.
1. There is an explanation for this. Is there a general background set in the theme panel?
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/
If a background color or image is set in the theme panel, the website will be boxed, in order to display the background. Please check if that is the case. Removing the background will allow full width grids and other wider elements.
2. Maybe the mobile theme plugin is active – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
When the plugin is active, the mobile pages, posts, etc will be different from desktop. However this plugin is optional, if you want the same content from desktop on mobile you can disable it.
I should mention that in coming updates there will be an option to choose for which pages or posts you want the mobile theme to be active.
3. Using the clear option on a row will only remove it’s content. If you want to remove a row you can click and drag it to the right corner – https://www.screencast.com/t/LocGydRWO
or click on it and hit the delete key on the keyboard.
If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
The same happens for me when I try the shortcode, it displays the same duration for all the posts, which is not right – http://prntscr.com/oahdvv
It works if I enter the shortcode inside the post content – http://prntscr.com/oahden
– http://prntscr.com/oahdow
I think it has to be actually in the post content in order to work correctly.
It also works when I insert the shortcode in an ad spot of the cloud template post content element, for example – http://prntscr.com/oaheyj – http://prntscr.com/oahf5w
Maybe this could be a solution as well.
The theme structured data is defined in the theme code, it can’t be disabled by a setting. For posts it can be found here – http://prntscr.com/oah1i0 the only way to disable it would be to manually remove it from the theme files.
Regarding the breadcrumb, it should be like this:
Desktop – http://prntscr.com/oah3on
Mobile (no mobile theme) – http://prntscr.com/oah3x9
So the only difference would be that the article title is hidden on mobile. What is happening in your case? Please post a link to the website so I can take a look, if possible.
I don’t quite understand the google bot issue. What exactly is the problem you are having?
Quite unusual. If I check other posts the date is alright, for example this post published 5 days ago – https://www.thewrestlepost.com/featured/2066/wwe-live-tokyo-japan-2019-results-triple-h-returns-rollins-vs-nakamura-for-universal-title-more/
For other older posts Google displays the actual date not a time ago format, maybe there is a limit for the time ago format – http://prntscr.com/oagth8 after which teh actual date is displayed.
I can’t say why this is happening, and can’t seem to find some definite solutions to fix it. As long as the proper date is detected even in their own structured data tool it should be displayed in the search results page.
Maybe you could create a topic in the Google forum, the community there has more experience with such issues – https://support.google.com/websearch/community?hl=en
Hi,
So you are using a cloud post template, in which you have placed a column text and the plugin shortcode. Shortcodes can be used in column text elements only.
Now from what I understand the problem is that the same time is displayed in all the posts that use that cloud template. Maybe you have to add extra parameters to the shortcode, does it work if you test with a default wordpress theme (if possible)? What plugin are you using exactly? I could make some tests with it. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
That page seems to be built with WPBakery from what I can see. I have seen the issue in a few other cases, it happens after updating the WPBakery plugin to 6.0.3.
We recommend to not update WPBakery when using a premium version (purchased plugin) and use the currently included version in the theme package – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
The current version of WPBakery included in the theme package is 6.0.2, this should work fine. So if possible revert to 6.0.2 and there should be no problem.
Thanks
That is not possible, the menu that is displayed inside the menu modal is the header main menu – http://prntscr.com/oaeely
I forgot to mention that there is currently an issue with the sub-menu arrows not appearing on responsive mobile, please enter this code as well to make theme visible
– http://prntscr.com/oaefia
The issue will be permanently solved in the next update. here is the code
.td-mobile-content .td-icon-menu-right {
display: inline-block;
}
If you should consider using a cloud header template, then it would be possible to set any menu you want on mobile – http://prntscr.com/oaegxz regardless of the menus you use on desktop.
These are cloud header templates designed by us – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers which can be imported and customized. You can also create templates from blank
– http://prntscr.com/oaei2m
If you have more questions let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
@Miriam65 The quickest way for a more accurate answer is to try and provide a link to the website and as many details as possible.
So for example are you using a predefined header template? – http://prntscr.com/oae4m9
In this case the sticky mode can be disabled from the theme panel
– http://prntscr.com/oae6vd
If you are using a cloud header template, then begin by editing the template with the composer. You have to remove the elements that are set to appear when the header is sticky.
Edit the header and activate the sticky mode – http://prntscr.com/njdq41 then remove all the elements that are in sticky mode. The same for the mobile sticky mode.
You can edit the header in all it’s stages, default desktop + sticky desktop, and also default mobile + sticky mobile – http://prntscr.com/oae9en (note that the enable /disable option is only for showing the sticky version in the composer edit screen)
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
1. That doesn’t have a font setting in the theme panel, if you want to modify the description font in the default author page template, it could be dome with some CSS
– http://prntscr.com/oadqzr
If you need help with it let me know. Here is the code used in the emxample
.author .author-box-wrap .desc {
font-size: 15px;
}
2. I see the mobile theme is active, you could do that with some CSS as well, for example
– http://prntscr.com/oadtrt
.wp-block-image figcaption {
font-size: 15px;
line-height: 26px;
}
The mobile theme has a dedicated custom CSS section, so the codes entered there will apply only to it – http://prntscr.com/oaduv3
If you need help with it let me know. I should note that in coming updates the mobile theme (which currently does not have any font settings) will receive font settings in the theme panel.
3. That is not actually Helvetica, this font is not being loaded. So the next font in line in the font family is loaded – http://prntscr.com/oadw1n – http://prntscr.com/oadw9k
Please edit the page with the tagDiv composer, click on the text elements and choose different fonts and colors as you want – http://prntscr.com/oadxka and they should apply properly.
Let me know.
Hi,
With standard or default it would be possible if you manually add that text in a text column, that is entered in a cloud post template. But you would have to create a cloud post template for each category of posts you want to do this for.
So for example start with by importing or creating a cloud post template
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
Edit the template with the composer and add a column text element in the location you want
– http://prntscr.com/oadic6
Now name this template for example Template for Lifestyle – http://prntscr.com/oadix4
– http://prntscr.com/oadj38
If you want to use the same overall template for other posts belonging to other categories, you can duplicate it – http://prntscr.com/oadjih
Then edit the duplicated template and modify just the text in the column text for the other categories.
Or you could create/import other templates, instead of duplicating the same template. Here is some more information about the cloud library plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Please let us know if you need help, or you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
I found that there are similar topics online about this issue happening
– https://www.seroundtable.com/google-wrong-dates-25864.html
– https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/82213/why-is-the-date-displayed-in-the-google-search-result-is-3-days-older-than-the-a
– https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/101116/serp-google-rich-snippets-showing-the-wrong-date-for-updated-post
I checked the post you mention, the datepuiblished data is like this
– http://prntscr.com/oad8zm
So the date is correct, but Google seems to not take it into account for some reason. Google should pick that datepublished and use it. There is a know issue when videos are used in the post, but there is no video in yours
– https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-search-bug-shows-wrong-publish-date-causes-ranking-drops/178681/
You could try and request a re-crawl from them, maybe this will correct the problem, but it may take some time from what I can find
– https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9466360/how-to-request-google-to-re-crawl-my-website
Thanks
The speed booster will not be active it it detects plugins that are not part of a predefined list, set in the plugin code – http://prntscr.com/nxtt2m
This is intended in order to prevent possible issues with various plugins.
However the check could be disabled, this is a similar topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Hi,
That can be done in the theme translation settings in the theme panel. Most of the theme strings can be customized there as you wish
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/customize-a-translation/
So in this case you can simply access the translations section in the panel, locate the more stories text and change it as needed – http://prntscr.com/oad0em
If you have more questions let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
There are quite a lot of issues with that page. From what I can see most of them may be caused by javascript errors related to some plugins, there are some errors
– http://prntscr.com/oacup6 – http://prntscr.com/oacux6
Would it be possible to disable these plugins temporarily to check if it has any effect on the issues? Even better it would be to temporarily deactivate all non-theme plugins, that way a plugin conflict is eliminated.
The issue with the images that are not loading could be caused by jetpack. The theme already has a lazyload function, if jetpack’s photon is also enabled there could be problems. Try to disable either photon or the theme lazyload
– https://jetpack.com/support/site-accelerator/
– http://prntscr.com/oacw5a
Or disable them both to check if this solves the problem and the images are loading properly.
Let me know after you try these suggestions.
Thanks
Hi,
Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated. As far as I know currently there aren’t any plans to add more capabilities to the wordpress search functionality. I will note this suggestion however, and it will be considered for future updates. Sorry for the inconvenience.
So for the moment you could make tests with some plugins, try free plugins if possible
– https://colorlib.com/wp/search-plugins-for-wordpress/
These may come with their own search template, but maybe the template can be customized in terms of design from within the plugin.
Please let us know if you have more questions or suggestions.
Thanks
Hi,
There could be problems when using disqus with the theme. Up to this point we haven’t made proper testing with the plugin. Would it be possible to test with a default theme and check if the same happens in both cases?
We could also take a closer look, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the website and admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
