Hi,
Was there a page set as footer page before doing these steps? It could be that if there is no footer page set, the string does not appear and can’t be translated.
If the problem remains, we could take a closer look at it. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the website and admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
We could take a look at it, we will try to identify the problem. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel would be helpful. Include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.
Thanks
I don’t quite understand, please post a screenshot of what you mean if possible. I am looking at the homepage but I can’t identify the element you are referring to. Please let me know and I will check again.
1. Of course there is, you can name it while editing it, either in the backend
– http://prntscr.com/obzqs1 – http://prntscr.com/obzqyh
Or in the composer – http://prntscr.com/obzrhi – http://prntscr.com/obzs5b
– http://prntscr.com/obzsar
2. I see you have built a cloud header template and applied it. But on mobile it is empty.
Please edit the header template and check if there are any elements in it in mobile mode
– http://prntscr.com/obzth5
When creating a cloud header template you must add elements in both desktop and mobile mode. If there are no elements for mobile, the header will be empty.
Let me know if you have more questions or I misunderstood the problem.
Hi,
Should work if the images are attached to the post. Please check if the images you want are actually attached to a page or post – http://prntscr.com/obzk01
Then the images should have an attachment page. In my case as I tried it, it didn’t work until I disabled this Yoast setting – http://prntscr.com/obzkni the attachment URL’s were redirected to the image and not the actual page.
Now they work fine – http://prntscr.com/obzl8p – http://prntscr.com/obzlcf
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
I see there is an empty space element below the grid – http://prntscr.com/obz7pu Is there a problem if you edit the page with the composer and try to remove it from there? let me know.
How exactly is that adsense ad inserted in the page? Please use an ad box element
– http://prntscr.com/obz9r8
From what I can see the ad is not inserted in any container. It just appears in the page.
Thanks
Hi,
Don’t know if we can add a new option there, I believe only Envato can do this if they want to. One of the options is to download the full theme package, the other is to download just the theme (this includes the updated theme plugins).
So if you download and install this package – http://prntscr.com/obyzbg it will include the theme plugins, which you can simply update from the theme plugin panel
– http://prntscr.com/obz03b
If you have more questions, let us know.
Thanks
Looks fine now – http://prntscr.com/obysq1
I checked some more posts, they look alright now in the search results page, did you maybe find the problem? – http://prntscr.com/obyttt – http://prntscr.com/obyu9i
Hi,
1. There is a setting in the theme panel that will disable the date for all modules, and all blocks and grids at once, this setting – http://prntscr.com/obynbh
2. For the predefined post templates it is not possible by a theme setting. If you use cloud post templates, these can be edited with the composer, so it would be possible to set custom widths for the columns that contain the post content and sidebar
– http://prntscr.com/obyq80
So you could experiment with the cloud library plugin and a cloud post template
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
You could try some of the suggestions from this related topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/google-search-console-server-errors-5xx/
Thanks
Hi,
That would happen if there is no content entered in the mobile editor for the respective page.
When the mobile theme is active each page will require you to enter content in the mobile editor – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
If there isn’t any the page will be empty on phones.
The mobile theme is an optional plugin, it is created for improved performance on mobile. If it’s not active the same content from desktop will be displayed on phone as well.
Currently I see that the page is not empty on mobile, so that means there is content in the mobile editor for it.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
That demo uses a cloud post template for posts, so the template can be edited with the composer. That background color is set for the column from what I can see.
Please edit the template with the composer and select the column, than in the CSS tab remove/change the colors as needed – http://prntscr.com/obyeps
More about the cloud library plugin here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
In the theme panel there is no setting to set a background color for the inside of the containers, like the page/post content in this case.
It can be done however with the composer. The rows containing the page content can have a background color, image or video (YouTube only) – http://prntscr.com/oby82x
The background color or image settings are available for most elements and all rows and columns in the composer.
In the posts, if you use a cloud post template (these can be edited with the composer) you can do the same – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
The theme uses thumbnails for the block and grid modules. These thumbnails are cropped center top, which is considered the best overall method
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
You could use a flex grid however, for example flex grid 5. These grids have settings that you can use to align the images vertically for all the three modules
– http://prntscr.com/oby45t
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
There is a setting for it in the theme panel post settings – http://prntscr.com/oby2h6
The setting is general, it will affect both desktop and mobile. If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
@Modart Pc Glad it worked. Regarding the sidebar widgets, The wordpress customizer should work fine. Or you can edit the widgets in the Appearance->Widgets section. All the widget sidebars can be found there, and you can add/remove/modify them
– http://prntscr.com/obxxfb
But unfortunately the social counter doesn’t currently have the socials you mention. I could add these as a request in our list and they will be considered. Sorry for the inconvenience.
@divaspathak So you are having problems activating the theme with the license key. If you followed the guide – https://tagdiv.com/how-to-activate-the-newspaper-theme/ and there is a problem, we could take a look. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the website, admin login and the activation key. Mention with more details the problem you are having. Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
As far as I know that will happen with a default wordpress theme as well
– http://prntscr.com/obxrrs
WordPress doesn’t seem to display a 404 page in this case, some related topics I found with some suggestions
– https://stackoverflow.com/questions/15347647/google-indexing-non-existent-urls-wordpress-doesnt-show-404
– https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/46116/non-existing-blog-pages-are-not-redirected-to-404
– https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26721031/wordpress-is-showing-paginated-pages-that-doesnt-exist
Thanks
Hi,
That is how the mobile theme works. The mobile version of pages will not be the same as the desktop version. This is explained in the guide – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
So while the desktop page can be built with the composer, and contain blocks, grids etc. the mobile version is limited to the mobile editor – http://prntscr.com/o8vbaq
If a page contains no content in the mobile editor, on phones it will be empty when the mobile theme is active.
The homepage on mobile displays a top grid with featured posts
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Then there will be a latest articles section. If you enter content in the mobile editor for the homepage, it will be displayed between those 2 sections.
If you want to see see how the mobile theme looks and works, please check this demo with a phone, it has the plugin active – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/
I should note that in coming updates there will be more options added for the mobile theme, like for example the option to disable it for specific pages and many others.
The plugin is optional, if you want the same content from desktop to be displayed on phones, you can disable the mobile theme plugin.
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check in the Theme panel->Ads section, check in the header ad spot
– http://prntscr.com/ob148t
Remove or replace the default ad code found there. Then save and check if the ad is removed from the header. If it’s still there, clear the cache if you use a caching plugin. Also force refresh the page where you are checking in (Ctrl+Shift+R). Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see both solutions are the same, the first one mentioned a modification in this file – http://prntscr.com/ob0t82 which is the main td_module file. The second screenshot is with the same file – http://prntscr.com/ob0ty2
Adding that property to the link there, will affect all modules in the theme, every time the title is clicked, regardless of where it is located. That is supposed to happen.
Other than this modification, there would be no alternative. A setting for it does not exist currently. Maybe with a plugin that can be set to open internal links in new tabs, if there are any. I can’t make any recommendations unfortunately. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
So the structured data like entry-title, updated, author?
These are in the file mentioned above – http://prntscr.com/ob0g5m
– http://prntscr.com/ob0gfc – http://prntscr.com/ob0hx2
Those are required from what I know – http://prntscr.com/ob0fso there may be problems if they are removed.
The rest of the structured data is in that same file. The post schema is loaded from there.
If I still misunderstand please correct me.
Hi,
@analidia Should still work fine. In the WPML string translation panel look for the td_011 field and open it – http://prntscr.com/oazjqz – http://prntscr.com/oazjzk
Then search for the tds_footer_page field and check it – http://prntscr.com/oazkhp
Scroll down and click apply, should be a message after pressing apply
– http://prntscr.com/oazku7
If the message displays an error, please increase the max_input_vars
– http://prntscr.com/oaznai
For example for me it does not save properly unless I set the value to 50000.
Then go back to the string translation main screen and the field should be ready to translate – http://prntscr.com/oazmr5
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Posts can have one author, an admin or editor can edit the post and select from the available authors. For example – http://prntscr.com/oayzc8
The author set there will be the author of the post, it will appear in the structured data for Google to pick up.
There is no option for a post to have multiple authors if that is what you mean.
Reviews can be set by the post author (or editor and admin) but this will not be mentioned anywhere, only the author will.
Thanks
Seems I missed that question, sorry about that. The breadcrumblist data is here
– http://prntscr.com/oayk2k
The author hcard (vcard) is here – http://prntscr.com/oaynyc
Maybe the shortcode method would work, in a column text element
– https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/displaying-custom-field-values-in-your-theme/
But you would have to edit each page and add the column text with the shortcode in it, manually.
Also manually, maybe it could work using a plugin that provides a widget that supports PHP code, for example – https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-php-code-widget/
– https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-widget/
Then place the widget in a sidebar and add a widget sidebar element in the composer, and select the respective sidebar.
Or ultimately modify the theme files in those locations, but after a theme update the modifications will be lost.
