That dependes on how you will build your page layouts. You can start from a 700px wide photo and go up to 1800; as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/GSTXcbyo208

Depending on your ROW width you have to configure them. In my opinion a 900×2-300px would be perfect.

There is a known bug meaning that if you activate amp plugin the plugin will look like it is inactive. This is just a display bug that will be fixed in the next update.
