I’m a new user. First of all, I have to congratulate you because of your work. I really love the Newsmag theme.
Now my questions:
1. It’s possible to edit the News Ticker? I just want to remove the button “TRENDING NOW” and keep only the text.
2. I’m using “Style 6 – Top menus + logo and ad” on the header. Can I center the logo instead of having it at the left side?
3. I love to put a Newspaper style grid in my homepage, Newsmag don’t have this style. If it’s possible to import features from the other theme? I tried just changing the names of the files but it doesn’t work. xD
4. I tried two different plugins to use facebook comments instead the wordpress ones, but always happen the same. The facebook comments are placed just after the text of the post. Before the share buttons. Did you tested any plugin.

5. In the smartphone mode the bar is too short, and my logo is hardly readable. Is possible to make it taller?
6. How can I add more social share buttons to the posts? Reddit for example.
7. In the Social Counter plugin, Instagram bar appears blue. Don’t you think that purple is more accurate to the Instagram logo?
8. I disabled “SHOW COMMENT COUNT” and “ENABLE COMMENTS ON POSTS” but sometimes it appears a logo in the article when I’m in the homepage. What I’m doing wrong?

Hi,
a friend has a personal blog and wanted to switch to Newspaper. I configured everything for him on a local MAMP server so his live site stays untouched.
Now we wanted to move the site to the live server and did so by uploading all files, and exporting the local database and imported it on the public server.
Now we realized that the book club template isn’t active anymore (a white blueish demo instead), and once we activate book club again all our settings and added blocks are gone.
So my question is, what’s the best way to move servers with a Newspaper WordPress site, without losing so many theme settings?

Can you tell me what specifically this addresses? I have 8.7.1 running. I deleted the AMP plugin and am using Automatica AMP and Accelerated AMP for WP and Yoast Glue and have it all working, yet I still find this solution rather frustrating. The vertical scroll on this AMP for WP implementation is choppy and sloppy in that it moves all over the screen of the mobile phone, but it is the only AMP solution I have found robust enough and that works.
I installed 8.7.1 thinking that TagDiv AMP would be fully integrated, but found it lacking. I finally got a logo onto the header, but it would never center and I could not get the color to adjust. I then attempted to install AMP for WP on top and it completely blew out the site. I deleted it from the Plugin folder and got the site back.
In summary, the 8.7.1 TagDiv AMP implementation I interacted with was weak at best. I punted. I have 8.7.1 installed, but not running any other plug ins and if this 8.7.2 upgrade does not provide some awesome configuration capabilities, I will just stay right where I am at until a release occurs that provides a robust AMP configurator implementation.

Can you please tell me how to make the page output display of the advertisement, and was the title picture immediately below the title.
For example, I want to do a series of review articles. The first article (page), which is also the parent article, will be a browser article. For example, the machine is the main page, and the brands of machines – it is under the parent article will go.
I tried to do this, but I do not show advertising on this page, although in the usual articles it is. Also there is no picture under the article title.
In the new update, I can see you have aligned logo to left. Can’t we get it back to center?

An amp page will display a header ad, footer ad and three article ads (top, inline and bottom). Check in Theme panel->AMP->Ads section. We will add more information in the AMP documentation as soon as possible

– improvement: improved tagDiv composer selection mask. New colors and better ui, now the controls are outside of the selection mask, this allows better selection for small items.
– improvement: wp-admin performance issue. We optimized the composer to load only what’s needed and where is needed. Wp-admin speed should greatly improve.
– improvement: huge speed improvemnts in tagDiv composer editor. We did a full memory consumption audit for tagDiv Composer and we fixed a few memory leaks.
– improvement: we removed unneded confirmations from tagDiv composer. For example when the content of the page was not changed and a user wanted to close the composer.
– improvement: when closing tagDiv Composer you will be redirected to the previeous page instead of the default edit page. We found that this provides a better user experience
– improvement: tagDiv composer now has a new color picker script that is a lot faster then the old one. The same color picker is used on the widgets.
– improvement: we added a couple of new social icons that are available on the top bar and footer of the site

So you want to switch from Newspaper to the Newsmag theme, that is possible if that is what you want to do. The Newsmag theme is currently version 4.2, while the latest version of Newspaper will soon be 8.7.2.
You will have to request a refund for the Newspaper theme and purchase Newsmag.
Note that there are differences between the themes, Newspaper has more options and settings. The multi-purpose plugin is provided, also the new AMP plugin

The most recommended update method would be by FTP. Update the theme plugins as well (deactivate and remove, then reinstall from latest theme package).
Note that in version 8 of the theme, the tagDiv composer was introduced. This composer will be activated by default when the theme is updated or installed. In order to use it all the pages have to be recreated with it. Or you can continue using Visual composer for the moment, and make the transition when you want, if you want. More about it here

Simply by being active the tagDiv composer could cause issues to pages built with Visual composer, containing Visual composer elements. So you could disable the tagDiv composer for the moment and there will be no problem.
Also a multi-purpose plugin was introduced, this adds many more elements and options to the tagDiv composer only

There are currently some issues with the latest version of the theme, these happen only in certain circumstances. A theme update is scheduled as soon as possible (certainly this week). So you could consider waiting for theme version 8.7.2 to be released before updating.

in Posts the modal Image shoes 3 more Pictures as they are.
Ad Example: By click on featured Image it opens in the Lightbox. In the right Corner bellow appears “1 of 4”.
By click on the next appears “can´t found”.
What can I do to eliminate that?

We are aware of the issues with the AMP plugin, mainly the inline CSS styles and the important tag usage in the AMP stylesheet. These will be fixed in the coming theme update. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Notice that we cannot say for sure when exactly the new update will be launched because we are working hard to finish it. Most likely, this week will happen.

Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it. The theme creates thumbnails from the featured images you set for posts, these thumbnails will then be displayed on modules

We are working as fast as possible to release the new update which will fix these issues. You could disable the plugin if you wish, there will be problems detected on the pages by AMP validators using the current plugin version.

I’ve already deleted the theme (I have no child themes), uploaded it again via FTP, deleted all the tagDiv plugins, reinstalled them, deactivated in the meantime all other plugins on the site and added “ define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, true ); ” in the wp-config.php and I haven’t had a caching plugin on this site up to now, but the error persists for all the (even completely new) pages.
On top of that the search function and all the images on the front-pages aren’t working.

Hi, I’m in the same boat as di_aeiou. Youtube links are displaying in excerpts which look ugly. The fix for this is commented out in td_util.php and seems to work for us:

I want to know if is it possible insert the same number of ads in normal post in a post with amp version?? One at begining, other middle and last one end of post. And, will be possible to show logo and menú in amp posts, because, visits enter, read the article but they can not go to other page of website :(.
