Just Updated to 6.1 from 4 and after a few hours of rebuilding everything is sort of coming together. I however have two questions.

1. When changing the fonts everything seems to be working fine (on posts etc.) except for when I try to change it on the pages. Doesn´t matter what I chose, nothing changes. I have solved it with css by targeting the actual page-id and applying the p-tag (.page-id-81 p {font-size: 13px; !important;}. This is however an absolutely ridiculous way to solve it. This must be a bug.

2. Since most of my pictures don´t have captions i have removed the captions and text that says (1 of 12 etc) by using .mfp-bottom-bar {display: none; visibility: hidden;} in Custom CSS. I would also like to remove tha black overlay that appears on every modal/lightbox picture. How would I target that to get rid of it?

Not the only person having an issue received a number of emails in relation to this. Can anyone help?

I checked the “Reviews” functionality of the theme and I could not find a way to enable User ratings. If I missed it, please let me know how I can do it.

If I am correct and you can’t enable user reviews, then can you please consider this on your “to do next” list. Having a review function without the possibility of enabling customer’s review (not just authors/editors) it’s like having a gimped feature.
Also, can you please suggest me a compatible review plugin (with user reviews capability, of course) that i can install and works with your theme?

Last part of this topic is about smart lists.
What I’ve noticed is that, all templates available alter the structure of the posts. I think it would be very useful to add a much simpler template that will only “number” the Titles. In most cases a post has a “human logic” to it that dictates where goes where. All template alter this logic and display the information their own way.
For example: If I do tutorials, I have a H2 title about “something”. Next I describe/define that “something” and, in most cases, I exemplify my description/definition with a picture. It makes sense to have that picture AFTER my description/definition text message. Else, the post might be confusing when somebody sees an image that doesn’t make sense at first and than has to read about what that picture represents.
Most useful to me would be a simpler smart list template that only alters the Titles (by adding those nice numbers) and lets the author build his/her post the way he wants, the way he/she thinks it makes sense.
Or, if you want to take it to the next level, have other template(s) that alter only the titles but also add that slider (previous/next) functionality.

Hi there! I’ve stumbled across an issue where the HTML that works in the author box is coming up as text on the author page. It was working previously to upgrading to 6.1. I’ve got the WP HTML Author Bio plugin. Here’s an example article with the author box with working HTML, and here’s the author page where the HTML isn’t working.

Two Questions:-

1) As Infinite Scroll for Woocommerce pages does not work on Newsmag, I have added a Woocommerce Infinite Scroll Plugin (http://codecanyon.net/item/infinite-ajax-scroll-woocommerce), but this does not work either? I tested it on Twenty twelve and it works perfectly.

There are 3 wrappers required – are these different for Woocommerce Newsmag?
Here are the instructions:-
Enter here the selector which wrap your products. Leave it empty if you want to use woocommerce default (ul.products)
Pagination wrapper:
Enter here the selector which wrap your pagination menu. Leave it empty if you want to use woocommerce default (.woocommerce-pagination)
Next page selector:

Can I add an alternative to fit Newsmag? or is the Plugin incompatible?

Working with the new site and have run into an issue. So I am posting an article with a video and it looks like it is using that youtube thumbnail for the thumbnail on the front page of the website instead of the featured image (which is higher resolution). Is there a way to prioritize the featured image over the featured video for the thumbnail in order to have a higher quality thumbnail?

posting this for those who might need this too and also for those who know way better than me, so that they hopefully have a check at this and spot eventual flaws or ways to improve.

this came up along with the need I had to mix different post types in the same slider. On my front page I have a slider that shows my selection of featured posts. I used to achieve this in NP4 using revslider, which allows to select specific posts to show up. But I decided to drop revslider plugin in NP6 so I made a little change to allow me to specify a group of posts to show up in a block.

– Works for blocks and slider (might work with grids and other elements but didn’t test with them)
– Does not work with pagination or ajax filter. I just wanted to show 4-6 posts so I didn’t need pagination and didn’t care to make it in a way that pagination would work. And there’s nothing to filter when you individually select all the posts shown. This means it WILL NOT WORK ON BLOCK THAT HAVE PAGINATION BY DEFAULT(like block 15 for example)

1. Add the filter input field to the block settings panel.
add this to file Newspaper\includes\td_config.php

Note: if you wish to mix up regular posts and custom posts types, don’t forget to insert them in the Post Type filter.
