Hi

I would like for the Post Body text to be indented on the left so that the text is at least 30 pixels away from the left edge. here is an example of my current post – https://socanews.com/news/party-it-up-at-barbados-crop-over-festival-summer-2018

Hello reloaded,

I have inspected your website but I did not saw any problem with your website loading. Everything seems to work as expected. You can check here -> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ro&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mytechnology.eu%2F2018%2F04%2F20%2Fdeadpool-2-il-trailer-finale%2F

Thanks for your understanding!

I have tried this as well. For example I created a code to remove the post title in the post page
https://www.screencast.com/t/5QDVLxwBbLPx
https://www.screencast.com/t/Dcai5wh74b
I then entered it in the child theme stylesheet (be sure that the child theme is active)
https://www.screencast.com/t/GAUpB5TsZYA
The code applies – https://www.screencast.com/t/AnJDoQfs642R

Then I tried in the main theme style.css file
https://www.screencast.com/t/uQlreldT4jp
I had to force refresh the page in the browser in this case, in order to see the changes.

Hello, I just installed the “breaking news” demo. I really like the layout. My question is, how do I make a “static” series of posts? For example, the area under the “trending now” scroll — I want to display 5 articles there that never change and I can control the order (which article displays in what position.)

Thanks in advance.

The FB number is 0 but the FB page has 80K, i’ve read the tutorial from https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/ & i did it as it says but the number is still 0.

Clean the cache & clear cookies but nothing happend.

Is there something else we have to do ?

Tried everything including resetting the master settings from Theme panel, reinstalling the theme and plugins a few times, clearing the cache and other settings. Nothing works.

Had to restore the backup to get things going for now. Something is messed up in Theme config/code as the theme panel hangs while saving any settings for footer/ads etc..

While the Theme version is 8.7 with associated plugins re-installed, theme panel still shows 8.6 and suggests to update theme with plugins. Could it be a caching issue ?

We can set up a temp login for you to investigate and fix the issues ASAP instead of experimenting with your theme’s code/config & endless re-installs.

Hello

More and more on the site, the buttons have a big nice look to be seen and invite our visitors to click on it.
Here an example of the difference on my site: https://www.virtualmagie.com/boutique/tours/en-route-john-guastaferro/
First is the button from the theme (small and not very nice look :)).
The second one is coming from a third party.

Maybe you will do some change on next updates?

Before that, how I achieve to have the same look than the orange one (color, size, margin, round…)?

Same for the one here https://www.virtualmagie.com/boutique/panier/
+ the size and look of the coupon code field.

I suppose I only have to copy paste some code in the Custom CSS theme panel.

Kind regards

Glad you could solve the issue, we have improved the AMP plugin after there were initially some issues with it. Currently there are no known problems with it. However if something is found, we will try to fix it as soon as possible.

Hi,

AMP will not work for those pages. Posts can be used with AMP and pages built with default WordPress editor
https://www.screencast.com/t/EXQf06xIx
https://www.screencast.com/t/oaQVXknruEEA
This is some more information on the AMP plugin

Hello fgentile,

For bringing well results with the logo in our theme you should respect the default recommended a size for the logo ->https://www.screencast.com/t/TGWLPCiO You can try another header style from our list which displays a logo with different style. (as an example, if you are using the header style 10, the logo will be displayed in full width of it). -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

If you could provide a link to the post or posts in question we will take a look. I have checked some of the posts on your website and they all passed AMP validation.

Thanks

Hi,

You can create that page with the tagDiv composer as well. These are some guides for the composer
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ARTSimnUY&index=4&list=PL6CsDkMaejhr2ExZCO73U11SSVKB9r_NE&t=25s
You can create many designs for pages, there are many possibilities with the tagDiv composer and additional multi-purpose plugin which extends it.
Some theme demos contain demo “About me” pages, you could check all the available demos here for inspiration
https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper
Or create the design and layout you want, experiment with different elements. Let us know if you need help with something or have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

The shortcode must be entered in a text element. Example
https://www.screencast.com/t/05p3GlPU2
Once you save the page and view it, the ticker will be visible
https://www.screencast.com/t/gBTsAqy5
The cryptonews demo uses a column text element in which the shortcode is entered.

Thanks

Hi,

The related articles section should have an indication of the active tab, this section is affected by the global block header style set here
https://www.screencast.com/t/tZ9HmZRkl
For example using the default style, the related articles looks like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/EdM3VIo4wG
Using global block header style 14 looks like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/hdiYQqll8o
Each style should have an indication of the active tab. If you could provide a link to your website where the issue is happening we will take a look.

Thanks

Also I hunted through the forums but can’t find a way to make Fancy text with image or text with image have a coloured background or more a block of colour to break up my website.

Like this for example Screenshot 1

Hello,

Please check your menus section and if you have the menu set up with custom links pointing to # then you will not be able to click them on desktop or mobile devices. Here is an example: https://www.screencast.com/t/WcGkkAJDk
Please check the links in your appearance->menus section.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

1. The amp template was created on the default WordPress structure. If you have altered folders in your install, this can be a consequence of that. Can you provide more examples or more detailed explanations on how you have the folders set up so we can get an idea? If you do not want to share this info publicly here, you can contact us via contact@tagdiv.com
Please note your home url will have to be == to the site URL. The tagdiv composer requires this for proper functionality.
2. Yes there are different thumbnails between amp and the regular page. This is not a bug. For the moment there are no settings to change the thumb used

3. The about us section comes from the footer options of the theme panel under Footer Info content

Thank you!

And if you want to change the Related Articles to other thumbnails that you have turned on under the Theme Panel->Block Settings:

Edit td-amp/templates/modules/td_module_amp_1.php and change the dimensions on line 19. I changed mine to 238×178 because that’s the one I’ve enabled:

echo $this->get_image(‘td_238x178’);

NOTE: These modifications will be gone if there’s a new plugin update and you overwrite the file. Just a reminder.

First of all, great work on having your own working and optimised AMP plugin 🙂 I’ve switched from using the Automattic AMP plugin to this one on my site.

Some feedback from myself – I know it’s still an initial version so I understand more updates will be coming, but here they are:

  • On the /amp page, the search icon/button on the top right links to the WordPress Address URL, and not the Site Address URL (i.e I have my WordPress files in a folder structure, so the search icon goes to 404).
  • The Related Articles on the /amp page are using 300×194. Hoping there are more options on the administration panel to either disable thumbnails, or use other dimensions? For example if I visit my site on a mobile (regular page, and not the /amp page), the Related Articles are using a different thumbnail dimension/block
  • There is an empty “About Us” section on the Footer of the /amp page. This is probably my fault for not knowing where should I enter the information in 🙂

For those who want to “hack” or edit the plugin files and know a bit of PHP:

  • Change search URL: under td-amp/templates/header-bar.php, change “site_url” to “home_url” on line 22
  • Disable About Us on Footer: under td-amp/templates/footer.php, comment out line 46 (add a ‘//’ in front of the About Us print-out line)

It seems like 8.7.3 installs TD Composer 1.0 if there was a previous installation.

For example, if I switch themes to a totally different theme and delete all tagDiv files (themes and plugins), then install 8.7.3, it works (however TD Composer has not yet been installed). Then from Newspaper > Plugins, I install TD Composer

https://www.xyzsite.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/td-composer.zip?uid=xxxxxxxxx

For whatever reason, it installs TD Composer 1.0 and I get the blank screen. HOWEVER, if I manually install TD Composer 2.2 first and then install 8.7.3 (after full tagDiv erase of files), it works.

So there is something strange going on with the auto-install of TD Composer with 8.7.x. I tried deleting the cache, same issue.

Hi,

The related articles font properties can also be influenced by the global block header style. When using default for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/kG2lALqqHN
The font weight of the related articles/more from author is normal
https://www.screencast.com/t/O0Gow8dlU
A dedicated font setting just for that is not available, they will be affected by these font settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZtrEcpWQU

The mobile front page grid does not need a scroll, it will display 3 articles one below the other
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Desktop grids when responsive, have an intuitive design that would lead to scrolling by the user
https://www.screencast.com/t/USOi2Jk3nh2
A scroll will appear – https://www.screencast.com/t/5btaOSSK4

Thanks
