I recently updated to the most recent version of Newspaper and also updated
WPBakery Visual Composer according to instructions here. Pretty much everything runs well apart from tagDiv Social Counter. I removed the old box completely and created a new to see if that would help but no.

The Social Counter display but just with a facebook / twitter icon hardly visible in white. Number of followers don’t display correctly. Weird..

I’m pretty sure tagdiv social counter it self is configured correctly.

What might I be doing wrong?

WordPress just told me that “there is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available (version 4.12.1)”.

My question is that is this version of VC compatible with the current version of Newpaper(7.3)?

Should I update this plugin?

There is an update of the plugin WPBakery Visual Composer 4.12.1 but when trying to update its saids I can’t because of the license, don’t we use a licensed plugin?

All the inner pages seem to be working but the home page is not working. I disabled “WPBakery Visual Composer” in the plugins section and the homepage did manage to pop up but not in the normal structure. I meed help please.

Your theme includes newest version of the plugin 4.12 but I can not use it on Frontend editor.

A month ago, we updated the wordpress and the theme

Almost everything went well, except the visual composer
The colored icon redirects to vc.wpbakery.com, to buy the page builder plugin.
So we use Classic Mode only to modify articles in the main slider.

Now we tried to update to the last version of the theme
And the homepage slider dissapears

Also, we encountered some security issues
After a scan, we discoverd exploits in the following plugins:
– wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/footer88.php
– wp-content/plugins/jetpack/json-endpoints/class.wpcom-json-api-get-customcss.php
– wp-content/plugins/td-social-counter/widget/cache.php
– wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/formatter/class-metabox-formatter.php

Any idea is welcome 🙂

I update to the last version of Newspaper, I have also the WPBakery Visual Composer with this version: 4.12 and now all the posts and home appear with images, but if I click in the image appear. Also with the youtube videos.

My previus version was of june 2016.

I have installed fresh wordpress 4.5.3, and installed newspaper theme, now i had activated WPBakery Visual Composer.the WPBakery Visual Composer version is 4.3.4 which is bundled with newspaper theme. while adding new page via visual composer using backend editor the preview of layout shows but it in grey color and i cannot select the layout for my page. Also if i wish to add some element it is not adding element . PLease help me .

I am trying to install the WPBakery Visual Composer but the WP says I cannot activate it because of a fatal error. How can I solve it? In the link below you can see what is going on. Furthermore, the Slider Revolution says that I need a code to activate the premium version – but I do not have it.
How can I solve these issues?

Jetpack by WordPress.com (running only protect and photon) – I’ve tried disabling and enabling photon countless times to see if it’s because of it, it is not.

My head hurts. What I expected to be an easy extract and install press of a button turned out to be hours of testing to see what the hell is wrong.
Already did some search on your forums before making this post. If you’ll recommend me to turn off image loading animation effect(lazy loading) won’t cut it for me as it was the major point that sold me your theme. Running your theme only with your recommended wp plugins also won’t cut it.

For the moment I’ve stopped using your theme. Will try it on a clean wp install in the next few day (even if does work won’t solve my current problem).

Till then, I need your help.
