Good morning,

we’re experiencing some issues after the migration of our customer’s website from the test environment to the production one.

Mainly we are able to see our widgets and sidebars in the front-end of the production website, but moving to the dashboard, not only we don’t see any sidebar, but also we cannot see the list of the tagdiv plugins.
Actually there’s nothing in the widget section, except for some WP basic widgets (and no sidebar space)

During the migration, also the registration key is migrated, and so did all the theme settings and the tagdiv plugins. I already tried to de-activate and re-activate tagdiv plugins, but nothing changed.

The core, the theme and all the plugins are updated (except for 2 mailpoet’s plugins, 3 event’s calendar’s plugins and the wpbakery page builder that come with you’re theme).

We need to open the website to the public on the january 31th, so we’re in a little bit hurry (sorry for that).
Can you help us with this?

Should I create a user for you?

Thank you

Marta

Hello !

If you want to use this option using wp bakery you will have to create that page / template from scratch. WP-Bakery does not work on tagDiv Composer created templates. You can achieve this using tagDiv Composer by editing the ROW to Stretch: https://www.screencast.com/t/UyDMLKHGu

I hope this was helpful !

Thank you !

Dear all!

I’m trying to have a full width background for a row, but the content inside this row should not be full width, it should stay centered within default width settings (so not be influenced by enlarging and resizing – except of course when liquid boundaries are met).

I’m using WPbakery page builder which was included in the theme’s package. If this in the new version 10.1. of Newspaper only possible within tagdiv composer, please also make this a definite statement.

I’m using Newspaper 10.1 / WPBakery Page Builder 6.0.5!

Thank you so much for your kind help!!

Hi primariaroman,

That is because there were made some changes in the core of the tagDiv Themes for Envato WordPress Requirements, we wrote an article about this, you can check this here.

So in Newspaper X the theme plugins need to be activate manually after theme update, after you do that the website should look good again, also please notice that we do not recommend to use the WPBakery with tagDiv Cloud Templates, in the last version if you have these two plugin activated, the layout of your website will look broken, so please use only one of them.

If you want you can make the update on a staging website and only after that, make a full backup to your online website and make the update.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi
Please help me to update the theme from 9.6.1 to the current version.
I’m using your theme from 2018 and until last year I had no problems updating. Now the whole site no longer looks like it should look. (Extended menu down, all item positions are chaotic display)
From the beginning I use the WPBakery Page Builder module from the theme modules.
Now I no longer understand how I should i do to keep up with the newspaper theme ver.
I managed to restore the site after seeing the disaster following the update.

Hi,

The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

Also the grids can be set from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/UNgtmDU.png

Since Newspaper v9.7.4 you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> http://prntscr.com/oh6r2s you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hello. I am using Newspaper version 10, with the Fast News Demo settings.

I have a contributors page on my site, created with the WP Bakery Authors Box element. Normally, when clicking on an author, the link connects to a page with the author’s Biographical Info from WordPress at the top, followed by their posts.

I recently installed BuddyPress along with the Youzer Plugin on my site. Now, when clicking on an author, the link connects to The author’s Youzer Profile. This works fine. I have the author’s latest posts configured to display on the Youzer profile.

I contacted Youzer support to ask if there was also a way to include the author’s Biographical Info on the Youzer Profile, without the author needing to enter the info in a separate Youzer widget in order to display author info on the Youzer Profile.

Youzer offered to create a custom widget to display the biographical Info, but, after examining my site, said that the biographical info on the Author’s page came from a Newspaper Theme widget, and not WordPress. They asked me to contact TagDiv support and ask for shortcode to display the Biographical information, and they would create a Youzer custom widget to display it on the Youzer profile. So, here, I am asking if there is shortcode available to display the author’s biographical information that I can pass on to Youzer.

Thank you!

David

Hi,

1. Did you try the theme panel settings ?
Because there is no css for header.

2. Did you try to stretch the row with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/6a63GpG.jpg

3. That plugin is not bought is provide by the Newspaper team, the WPBakery ( old Visual Composer ) is a bundled one -> https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins if you download the latest version of Newspaper theme from your themeforest account then you’ll find the plugin inside the packages, this will have the old name js-composer.

4. Now the theme builder is tagDiv Composer, using the tagDIv Composer and visual composer on standard pack should work normal, only if you activate the tagDiv Cloud Library and use cloud templates, this theme extension was build for tagDiv Composer and is not compatible with visual composer, also we do not recommend to use on the same page more then one builder.

Thank you!

Hello !

Sorry for missunderstanding !

Posts can be edited by going into Posts – Edit post as you can see it here: https://www.screencast.com/t/nfSJwm8m You can use Gutenberg / Classic Editor. I personally wouldn’t recommend using wp bakery but you can do it.

Thank you !

1. I changed it from style 6 to style 3 multipurpose but still see the black load

Here are my custom css. I believe one or some of the custom css are causing this
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-scroll-up {
display: block!important;
}
}

.td-post-category, .td-entry-category, .td-big-grid-meta .td-post-category, .td-module-comments{
background-color:#a00000;
}

.td-instagram-main{
border-bottom:9px solid #d93a00;
}

.td-scroll-up{
background-color: rgba(68,68,68,0.45)!important;
}

.td-module-comments{
background-color:#a00000;
}

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-main-content-wrap {
padding-top:0;
}
}

.td-module-comments a{
background-color:#cecece!important;
}

.mycustomclass span{
background-color:#222222!important;
}

.mycustomclass{
border-color:#222222!important;
}

.td-icon-star, .td-icon-star-half, .td-icon-star-empty{
color:#d93a00;
}

.td_module_6 .entry-title{
font-weight: 500!important;
}

.widget_display_topics{
margin-bottom: 23px!important;
}
.widget_display_forums{
margin-bottom: -36px!important;
}

@media(max-width: 767px){
.td-footer-instagram-container .td-footer-instagram-title .td-footer-instagram-user-link{
display:initial!important;
}}

.td-search-wrap-mob .td-search-input span{
font-size: 30px!important;
}

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td_block_big_grid_12 .td-big-grid-wrapper .td-big-grid-post:last-child .td-module-thumb {
margin-left: 0px!important;
}}

2. I have changed it to big grid full but still not showing full width. Help?

3. If the new one is called WPBakery, am I still not supposed to have a copy of it since I bought it with the theme? Or I have to pay for it?

4.Won’t using TD Composer and WP Bakey cause conflicts? I used to only use visual composer and now youve asked me to use tp composer to change big grid settings

Hi Vlad,

Thank you for explaining, but we haven’t got an answer to our main question, maybe because I am unable to explain clearly. How to edit the post content? Should we use the Gutenberg or WP Bakery Editor to edit the content of the post (a post that is based on a cloud template)?

Or should we add the element “post content” inside the template and add in our content there?

We need to know the standard way so that we can have better optimization.

Thanks!

Hi,

1. I think that you are using header style 6 or multipurpose style 3.
Now the css code that you have in Theme panel is not for the menu background, this is set from theme panel> theme colors -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FPN29npU also now you can use cloud headers from tagDiv Cloud library and you can edit them using the theme builder, tagDiv Composer.

2. So in order to have the grid stretch on full width you’ll need to use the tagDiv Composer, edit the page and set a Big Grid Full -> https://i.imgur.com/1wvFEnc.jpg
Big Grid Flex Settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/
Block settings tutorial -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/

3. The Visual composer that you are using is an old version, now the update version is WPBakery, but we recommend to use it with our theme only if you do not use cloud templates ( using cloud templates with WPBakery can create conflicts).

Also you can check more in our documentation from here(new documentation) -> https://tagdiv.com/category/documentation/ and from here( old documentation ) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

I use WPML to build a multi language website.
Then use WPbakery and Block-4 to add a category archived list page.
But the ajax read more function not works with correct language.
For example, WPML default is English, when I in traditional Chinese page to click read more button.
It will add the English post item but not Chinese item.
Is there anything wrong? How to fix it?
thank you

Thank you for clarifying, Vlad. So the post content should be edited using either the Gutenberg Editor or the WP Bakery Editor right? Sorry this is quite confusing. What I understand now is that the content can not be inserted through the “edit template” option.

Also, how exactly does adding elements to the template changes the post? For example if I add the element “column content” to a “single post template”, where should we add in the content for that column element? Or do you mean that adding the elements will not affect the design at all?

Hi,

Please do not post your private login credentials.
For what I can see you are using a lot of plugins,also you can view the post content like this -. https://i.imgur.com/fRO025y.png-> https://i.imgur.com/yR15fOa.png also this draft can be seen here on WPBakery -> https://i.imgur.com/PgBQgdT.png
Also please notice that we do not recommend to use the cloud library with WPBakery.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi Vlad,

That was a quick fix. Thank you so much for identifying the issue! Do you recommend using a different editor than WP Bakery?

Also, I see that the posts alignment / border spacing issue is fixed for the posts, but the Google ads are not aligning well with the content. Is it because we are inserting the code with the AdBox element? Or may be we need to add the border spacing instructions to the Ad script? You can have a look at http://www.photographycourse.net on a mobile device.

Please let us know and thank you for your great help!

Hello !

Even tough WP bakery is a tested plugin I personally wouldn’t recommend using it. Since tagDiv Composer was created as our own page builder the developers are working on developing this plugin.

You can use wp bakery on a page / post where there are NO tagDiv composer elements.

Thank you for your understanding !

Hi Vlad,

Thanks for the information. Using the cloud templates, which editor would you recommend to use for our posts? We are currently using WPBakery Page Builder.

Thanks!
